Chapter 474 Dilemma

Jimmy saw her take out the music box, glanced proudly at Mitchell, and said with a smile, "How about it, Willow? I found this music box abroad. It's practically an antique. Do you like it? The design of this little house is incredibly intricate and beautiful."

Willow held the music box and, upon hearing that it was an antique, felt a bit overwhelmed. She quickly said, "This is too valuable, I..."

Before she could finish, Jimmy interrupted her. He said, "It's not expensive, just something I picked up at a roadside shop. It's very cheap."

Seeing her still hesitant, he continued, "Willow, this is my gift to you. Please accept it. If you don't, I'll be very sad."

Hearing this, Willow glanced at Mitchell, who had been silent beside her, and softly said to Jimmy, "Alright, thank you."

Seeing her accept his gift, Jimmy arrogantly glanced at Mitchell, feeling extremely pleased. He was deliberately trying to show off, and he had to admit that seeing Mitchell's frustrated expression felt quite satisfying.

Out of politeness, Willow invited Jimmy to dinner another day, since he had come all the way to give her a gift. She would have invited him to dinner tonight, but she had already agreed to go to Nelson Mansion with Matthew and Madison after work, so she had to schedule it for another time.

"Are you free tomorrow? We can treat you to dinner," Willow said to Jimmy, but she was secretly glancing at Mitchell because she said 'we' and hadn't discussed it with him beforehand. She wasn't sure if he would want to join.

Jimmy looked at Willow and replied, "Sure."

Then, he turned to Mitchell with an innocent smile. He said sarcastically, "Mr. Jonah, I wonder if you are available. If not, I guess it'll just be Willow and me for dinner."

Finally, he said to Willow, "Willow, how about we go to that BBQ place near our school?"

Mitchell answered before Willow could, "Sure, tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. at the BBQ place. As long as you don't mind it being too simple."

Hearing his response, Willow sighed in relief and quickly added, "See you tomorrow night then. We have to go to my buddy's place now, so we'll be off."

She took Mitchell's hand and said goodbye to Jimmy. She didn't know what was up with Jimmy today, but if he kept talking, she was really worried Mitchell might get upset and drag her away. However, seeing him back to his sunny self like when they first met, she was genuinely happy for him. Otherwise, if it was because of her, she would feel a bit guilty.

Everyone should have their own life and shouldn't doubt themselves or be defeated because of someone else. There might be moments of sadness and loss, but one should always face the sun, step on the shadows, and live positively.

After walking a few steps away, Willow turned back to see Jimmy still standing there, waving at her with a smile. She smiled and waved back, finally feeling at ease as she left.

When they arrived at Nelson Mansion, everyone had just sat down to eat. Madison had called Willow on the way, so they timed it for Valerie to start cooking. Madison's belly was quite big now, but all the weight had gone to her belly during the pregnancy. Although her belly was huge, her limbs were still slender, and her face was just a bit rounder than before.

As soon as Willow walked in, she saw Madison's big belly. Maybe it was because they were also planning to have a child, so she paid extra attention to pregnant women and children. She remarked, "Madison, your belly is so big now. It's only been a week since I last saw you, and it seems to have grown a lot."

Madison replied with a smile, "Yes, it grows very quickly in the later stages. I don't dare to eat too much now; the doctor said I'm already overweight."

Willow walked over and circled around Madison a few times, then said seriously, "All the weight has gone to the baby. You still look very slim from behind."

"When I was pregnant with Quentin and Hannah, it was the same. My belly was huge, but my limbs didn't gain any weight," Madison explained with a smile.

She mentioned her pregnancy with Quentin and Hannah unconsciously, but Matthew, standing beside her, felt a pang of guilt and held her hand, saying remorsefully, "I'm sorry, honey. It must have been really hard for you back then."

Seeing her struggle with just one pregnancy, he couldn't imagine how tough it must have been with twins. She would get leg cramps at night, couldn't turn over because of her big belly, and had morning sickness. Being a mom was truly amazing.

Madison saw his expression and knew he was overthinking it again. She quickly comforted him, "It's okay, it's all in the past."

He was now always by her side. Since her pregnancy, he had barely gone to the office. At night, he would wake up at the slightest movement she made, asking if she was okay or uncomfortable.

Madison appreciated Matthew's efforts. She didn't blame him for his absence during her pregnancy with Quentin and Hannah because he didn't know. She believed that if he had known, he would have been just as attentive and caring.

Quentin and Hannah greeted Willow and Mitchell as they walked in, sitting obediently in their chairs. They said in unison, "Hi, Auntie Willow. Hi, Uncle Mitchell."

Their well-behaved manner and the way they called her 'Auntie' made Willow's heart melt. Seeing Madison radiate maternal glow since her pregnancy, she suddenly felt excited about having a child, as he had suggested.

At the dinner table, she smiled and watched Quentin and Hannah for a while. She had never thought about whether to have a boy or a girl before. She and Mitchell both felt it was best to let nature take its course; they would love either.

Their parents were also easygoing, happy with either a boy or a girl. But now, seeing Quentin and Hannah so loving and adorable, Willow felt conflicted. Both boys and girls seemed so cute, and she liked them both.

However, she didn't dare to think about having boy-girl twins like Mitchell because she had always been afraid of pain. The idea of childbirth still worried and scared her, and Mitchell knew this.

So, after deciding to have a child, they originally planned to have just one. But now, Willow was conflicted. It seemed like having just a boy or a girl would make her feel a bit regretful. Maybe they should have two after all.
