Chapter 298 Instigation

That night, as Willow finished her shower, her phone buzzed incessantly. It was Daniel. Full of curiosity, his voice resonated through the phone, painting a vivid picture of his eagerness to hear Willow's story. Drying her hair, Willow recounted the day's events in her mind. After Matthew and Madison left, she and Mitchell had lunch in his room and then headed to the beach, not bothering to change into swimwear. The scenery was breathtaking, the sun not too harsh, and the sand felt like a gentle massage underfoot. They lounged under an umbrella, watching others engage in water activities. Initially, Willow found it a bit dull, but once she lay down, the relaxation was undeniable. They had dinner at the hotel, using the vouchers Madison left behind.

Daniel, on the other end of the line, couldn't believe their simplicity. "Willow, are you sure you don't want to take advantage of this opportunity and make a move on Mitchell?"

Willow's voice was tinged with melancholy. "He has someone he likes, and you know that."

Daniel fell silent momentarily before speaking earnestly, "Willow, I believe that person is you. I have valid reasons for this. Have you ever seen any other girls around my brother all these years? Not even his high school classmates. So, either he's making excuses to deceive our parents, or you are the one he likes."

Willow's heart wavered for the first time since she overheard Mitchell's feelings. She had spent years suppressing her emotions, treating Mitchell like a brother, and concealing her own feelings. Now, her emotions were resurfacing as if gently supported by a warm hand. Could it really be possible?

Daniel offered some advice over the phone, "Willow, I'm telling you, you should..."

Willow hesitated, "Isn't that too much?" Just the thought made her blush, and the idea of actually doing it seemed daunting.

"What's wrong with that? After you two have sex, I'm telling you, my parents will immediately arrange for Mitchell to marry you." Daniel reassured Willow, "And trust me, based on my brother's character, he will definitely take responsibility for you." Finally, he gave her peace of mind. "Listen to me, stop hesitating, take the initiative. In love, everyone is equal, and it's up to you to fight for it. Even if the person my brother likes isn't you, feelings can be nurtured, and you two are already so close, it's easy to develop."

Daniel continued to persuade her, and after serious consideration, she still felt that Willow was the most suitable as her sister-in-law. Otherwise, considering her relationship with Willow, she would feel uncomfortable with anyone else. And Jimmy, young and handsome as he was, was not as reliable as Mitchell, a mature and charming man. Despite her brother's workaholic and reserved nature, he had many other qualities, such as being good-looking, financially stable, and responsible. Lastly, the fact that he was in his thirties and had never been in a relationship was a point of contention.

Willow still hesitated, "But if it's just out of responsibility, I don't want Mitchell to bear that burden."

"I'm just asking you to test the waters," Daniel said with a hint of frustration, truly worried about them.

"Is it really necessary?" Willow asked, uncertain.

"Yes, it is. You must do it. Give me the address, and I'll send you the battle gear by express delivery. We'll take action tomorrow night." Daniel quickly made the decision for her.

After hanging up the phone, Willow couldn't help but blush, and her heart raced at the thought of Daniel's suggestion. She jumped into bed and hid under the covers, her mind in turmoil.

The next day, the two finally seemed to be there to play. Mitchell took Willow to the water park in the morning, and they had a great time, with Mitchell playing on the water slides several times for Hannah's sake. In the afternoon, Willow wanted to try jet skiing. It looked so exciting, and she wanted to give it a try. Mitchell took her over, and after he tried it and made sure it wasn't too dangerous, he let Willow get on. Willow was a little scared, and she didn't dare to ride. Initially, the coach said he could ride with her, but Mitchell just picked her up and put her on the back of his seat, holding her hand around his waist. "Hold on tight. I'll take you for a ride."

Because of the inertia, the jet ski shot forward, and Willow fell on Mitchell's back. Because of the speed, she was so scared that she closed her eyes and held onto Mitchell tightly. After a lap, she was extremely excited; although she was all wet, it was really thrilling and cool.

Willow was wearing a swimsuit, so her clothes were wet. But Mitchell was wearing a t-shirt and shorts, and his clothes were soaked, so he took them off. Willow turned around and saw his eight-pack abs and the V-line. It was the first time she had seen Mitchell's body up close. She stared blankly for a while, feeling a rush of heat in her nose, and quickly turned around. Mitchell looked at her inexplicably, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, Mitchell, it's just hot. I'll go buy two bottles of water." After saying that, she ran away.
