Chapter 539 The Final Conclusion (Part 1)
The resort at dusk was bathed in a red sunset, with a gentle breeze making the weather very comfortable. The air was filled with the scent of roses, making everyone feel refreshed.
Rachel changed into the wedding dress designed by Madison herself, the long train trailing on the ground.
Quentin and Hannah, the two little flower children, followed behind her, holding small flower baskets filled with rose petals.
"Godmother looks so beautiful today," Hannah said to Quentin.
"Yeah, because she is the bride today," Quentin replied to Hannah.
The two little flower children followed the bride as she slowly walked towards the groom standing at the end.
Rachel's gaze was fixed on Nicholas, who was not far away. She saw him standing there with a bouquet of roses, looking at her as if he were her prince waiting for her to walk over.
The two of them were about to join hands and spend every day of their future together.
The short walk felt like a lifetime to Rachel, and by the time she reached Nicholas, her eyes were glistening.
Nicholas knelt on one knee to put the ring on Rachel's finger, then stood up and whispered in her ear, "Honey, you look so beautiful today."
Rachel replied, "You look very handsome today, too."
Amidst the cheers, the bride and groom kissed, and Quentin and Hannah timely scattered the rose petals from their baskets into the air.
Esme and Nicholas's parents had tears in their eyes as they watched from the audience.
Rachel and Nicholas embraced and looked at their friends and family below the stage, smiling happily. This was the happiness they had both dreamed of.
Watching the couple on stage, Madison couldn't help but tear up.
Matthew held Ryan in one arm and pulled his wife into his embrace with the other.
He and Madison could feel each other's emotions without saying a word.
Mitchell and Willow stood together, pushing Ethan in a stroller, their fingers interlocked as they smiled at each other.
Victor's face was expressionless, lost in thought.
Patrick, standing next to him, turned to look at him and asked, "Victor, are you thinking about getting married?"
Victor glanced at Patrick without answering, but his mind involuntarily recalled the girl he had been searching for.
Liam came alone today.
Ophelia had been busy with filming recently and couldn't come during the day.
Moreover, with so many people at the wedding, her presence might overshadow the bride, so she planned to join everyone later after her shoot.
Liam stepped aside to send her a message on Facebook.
Liam: [Is today's shoot over?]
The message was quickly replied to.
Ophelia: [Almost, we need to reshoot a scene. Is the wedding ceremony over on your side?]
Liam: [Almost.]
Thinking of something, Liam sent another message.
Liam: [Call me when you're done. I'll come pick you up.]
Ophelia replied immediately.
Ophelia: [No need. Danielle is also on set. We'll come together later.]
Liam was still worried and reminded her, [Don't drive. Let the driver bring you. It's too late.]
Ophelia: [Okay, I have to go now.]
Liam looked at their chat, a slight smile on his face, clearly in a good mood. He turned back to his previous spot.
Patrick, seeing him return, asked, "Liam, where did you go? To the bathroom? Why didn't you call me?"
Liam looked at Patrick expressionlessly and said, "Idiot."
Patrick exclaimed, "What do you mean? There's nothing embarrassing about going to the bathroom together."
Liam replied calmly, "Going to the bathroom together isn't embarrassing, but you are."
"Victor, look at Liam, He's attacking me personally." Patrick turned to Victor for help, but Victor just smiled.
Patrick really did make them happy.
As night fell, a circle of colorful lights lit up on the lawn, and several pre-set canopies also lit up. The tables were filled with various fruits, small cakes, and snacks.
The resort had set up a barbecue on the edge of the lawn, and a chef was grilling, allowing guests to help themselves.
Soft piano music now drifted from the stage where the wedding ceremony had just taken place.
Many young people were happily dancing on the lawn, with the bride and groom pulled into the group, surrounded in the middle. The children held hands and formed a big circle around the adults, running around and creating a lively atmosphere.
Madison and Matthew, along with Willow and Mitchell, sat under the canopy with their children, eating and taking care of the kids, enjoying the lively scene.
On the other side of the lawn were tiered camping tents, where the overnight guests were arranged to stay. The tents had solid wooden floors, were sturdy and secure, and featured separate wet and dry bathrooms, air conditioning, refrigerators, and showers. Some even had bathtubs, with very high-end amenities. In addition to single-story tents, there were also double-story ones with beds and bathrooms upstairs.
This area was a newly developed resort by Nicholas and his team this year, offering a more nature-close experience compared to the uniform hotel accommodations, allowing guests to enjoy a carefree state in the wilderness.
Madison and the others were amazed by the place.
Quentin and Hannah loved it so much that they immediately claimed the two beds upstairs, saying they would sleep there alone tonight.
The tent's roof could be opened to reveal the moon and stars above, creating a stunning view.
The common area also had a large swimming pool, a restaurant, a screening room, a game room, and a fishing pond, offering a variety of activities.
Madison had heard that this new project had been very popular since it opened this year. Seeing it now, she felt it was perfect for a vacation and even wanted to live there every day.
Ryan and Ethan sat in their strollers, eating small cakes and holding their bottles, looking adorable.
Matthew and the others sat around a table under the canopy, eating and chatting.
Patrick had gone to play with Quentin and Hannah.
Madison saw him holding hands with the two kids by the barbecue.
Soon, Quentin came running over with a bunch of freshly grilled lamb skewers, bringing food for everyone.
Hannah followed Quentin with a bunch of grilled food, while Patrick shouted from behind, "Hey don't take it all! We haven't eaten yet!"
This made everyone burst into laughter.
