Chapter 425 Meeting the Roommate

The two of them took the elevator down to the sixteenth floor and arrived at the door of room 1608.

As they approached, they could already hear lively sounds coming from inside. Standing at the door, holding hands, they exchanged a smile. Then, Willow raised her hand and pressed the doorbell. For some reason, she felt a bit nervous, wondering how her friends would react to seeing Mitchell. Karen would probably be quite excited.

Hearing footsteps rushing toward the door, Willow felt her palms sweat, and she felt Mitchell squeeze her hand. She looked up at him and saw his warm, smiling face.

At that moment, the door was suddenly pulled open from the inside.

The door swung open, and Lisa, initially beaming, called out, "Willow, you..."

Then, seeing the two of them standing hand in hand at the door, she froze, her smile turning into a look of shock. She mechanically finished her sentence. "finally come."

"Lisa," Willow greeted her with a cheerful smile.

Mitchell also smiled politely and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Willow's boyfriend, Mitchell."

Lisa was stunned for a moment before she let out a scream.

Hearing her scream, Karen shouted from inside, "Lisa, what's going on? Is Willow here?"

Footsteps followed as Karen approached.

Sure enough, she soon appeared behind Lisa. Because the door wasn't fully open and Lisa was tall, she blocked the view of Willow and Mitchell standing at the door.

Karen, looking puzzled, walked up behind Lisa and asked, "Lisa, why are you screaming at the door? Who is it? Isn't it Willow?"

Lisa, still lost in her excitement, didn't respond.

Karen, seeing that she wasn't speaking, simply opened the door all the way.

The first person she saw was Willow. She smiled and greeted her, "Willow, you finally made it. Where's your boyfriend?"

Willow smiled and called her, "Karen."

Then she stepped aside, revealing Mitchell to Karen.

Karen was momentarily speechless. She muttered, "Someone pinch me. I think I'm seeing the legend from our architecture department."

Mitchell continued to smile politely and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Willow's boyfriend, Mitchell."

Karen, as if not hearing anything, grabbed Lisa's arm in excitement and screamed, "Oh my god, he's real. He's talking."

Willow, both amused and exasperated, turned to look at Mitchell.

He hadn't expected her two roommates to react so strongly and be so excited upon seeing him.

Lisa and Karen's consecutive screams brought the bride and groom out of the room.

Amanda, wearing her wedding dress and veil, and Rex, dressed in a suit, walked hand in hand to the door.

With Lisa and Karen blocking the way, they had no idea what was going on.

Seeing them come out, Willow quickly stood on tiptoe and waved to Amanda.

Amanda pulled Lisa and Karen aside like puppets, and only then did she and Rex see Willow and Mitchell standing at the door.

Seeing Mitchell clearly, Amanda raised her hand excitedly and pointed at him, saying, "Are you Mitchell?"

Mitchell smiled and replied, "Yes, I'm Willow's boyfriend, Mitchell."

Then he politely extended his hand to Rex. "Nice to meet you."

After shaking hands with Mitchell, Rex led Amanda inside and invited Willow and Mitchell to join them.

Once inside, Mitchell took out the gifts he had prepared and handed them to everyone.

Each person received a set of high-end cosmetics, and they were all thrilled with the presents.

Amanda's bag also contained a wedding gift from Mitchell.

When Amanda and Rex later received it, they were stunned.

Lisa and Amanda quickly recovered from their excitement, but they couldn't stop gushing to Willow. "Oh my God, Willow, when did you start dating Mitchell? That's amazing."

Both of them gave her a thumbs-up.

"Yeah, those love notes you wrote in college, were they for Mitchell? A secret crush turned real? How romantic!" Amanda added, revealing some of Willow's college secrets.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Willow glanced at Mitchell standing beside her and thought to herself, 'Those little notes are with Mitchell.'

Willow hadn't expected her three friends to be so excited.

Karen's reaction was understandable since she was in the architecture department and had always idolized Mitchell. But she hadn't anticipated Lisa and Amanda being this thrilled too. She had underestimated Mitchell's influence at their university.

Karen finally snapped out of it and rushed up to Mitchell, saying, "Mitchell, I'm Karen from the architecture department, same class as Willow. Can you... sign an autograph for me?"

Mitchell looked at Willow, then at Karen, and nodded with a smile. "Sure. How about later? Anytime in the next couple of days. Let's accompany the bride and groom to the rehearsal first."

Everyone then remembered they needed to go to the banquet hall for the rehearsal.

Willow, as a bridesmaid, changed into her dress and joined the bride and groom, following the wedding planners to the banquet hall.

Karen, walking at the back, whispered to Willow, "You actually got the legend and didn't tell me. Your punishment is to get me one of his signed sketches. I'll frame it at home."

"But he doesn't do much drawing anymore," Willow said with a smile.

"I don't care. I've wanted one since college. Now that I have this chance, I'm not letting it slip by. I thought it was a lost cause, but you actually got him," Karen said, overjoyed.

"Aren't you a math teacher now?" Willow asked, puzzled.

"Being a math teacher is just my job. Architecture design is my true passion. You wouldn't understand. I do freelance design work on the side and make quite a bit," Karen said with a sly smile.

Willow gave her a thumbs-up. "Alright, I'll talk to him."

"Great, no rush. You can mail it to me later," Karen said, grinning from ear to ear.

The rehearsal took about two hours, going through all the wedding procedures.

Originally, the three bridesmaids were all friends of the bride, and the three groomsmen were friends of the groom. But near the end of the rehearsal, one of the groomsmen received an urgent call from his company and had to leave for a business trip, leaving them short one groomsman.

Everyone on stage turned their eyes to Mitchell, who had been attentively watching from the audience.
