Chapter 347 A Sweet World for Two

In fact, the atmosphere of the bar really felt like a long-lost feeling for Madison. In the past six months, many things have happened, from their separation to the reunion, then experiencing life and death, and witnessing miracles. All of this was not easy... Therefore, at this moment, the two wanted to have some memories that belonged to themselves.

Downstairs by the dance floor, everyone was having a great time. Daniel was dancing with Willow and Ophelia on the stage, Patrick joined in, while the others watched from below. Mitchell was the first to notice that Matthew and Madison had left the private room upstairs. When he saw the Facebook message from Matthew in the group, he looked up and they were already gone.

He actually thought Matthew would just come out of the cinema and go back, but he didn't expect him to stay at the bar with them for so long, only to return to their own world now. Perhaps he couldn't understand when he was not in love, but now... Watching the happy people on stage, he smiled indulgently.

Now, he understood Matthew.

Liam stood beside him, watching him smile like that. Following his gaze, he saw Willow's figure. He patted Mitchell's shoulder knowingly, and Mitchell turned to look at him. They shared a look of understanding, then turned to look at the people on stage together.

Nicholas and Rachel didn't go on stage. Rachel didn't usually go to bars, and if she did, it was only to quiet ones for a chat. It was her first time at this level of bar. Nicholas had accompanied a client to Mitchell's bar before, not knowing Mitchell was the boss then. It was only tonight that he found out. Mitchell directly gave them membership cards tonight and made it clear that they could just put it on his tab. He was treating them.

Nicholas took the card and accepted Mitchell's kindness, but decided he would still pay in the future.

Rachel was excited, as it was so easy to meet celebrities in the bar. She kept dragging Nicholas around, exclaiming whenever she saw someone famous. Nicholas wasn't interested in all that, but he still accompanied her around. The bar was crowded, and she was moving around recklessly. How could he not worry? He stayed close, being cautious.

Eventually, Daniel and Willow managed to pull Rachel onto the stage, and they had a blast. The girls were all in good spirits, having met a few times before and becoming familiar. They played wildly, knowing they were in Mitchell's territory and had nothing to worry about, especially with their protectors around.

Willow didn't drink much tonight, still remembering the last time vividly. If she drank too much again and did something inappropriate to Mitchell in front of everyone, she would be too embarrassed to face anyone later. Seeing how well-behaved Willow was tonight, Mitchell started to wonder if he had been too harsh to her. Daniel and Liam's friend had gotten drunk, but only Willow and Rachel remained sober. Watching Willow behaving herself, Mitchell began to reflect on his own actions.

After Matthew and Madison left, the group continued to have a great time at the bar. It was already early morning when they finally left. Each person went home with their loved ones. Patrick had drunk too much tonight, so Victor was now taking him and Daniel home.

The three single individuals squeezed into one car, quite a pitiful sight...

Both Matthew and Madison were eager to go home. Matthew had also had a few drinks, so they hailed a taxi right outside the bar and headed back.

There weren't many cars on the road at night, and the driver was driving quite fast, so they reached home in less than half an hour.

Why was the driver driving so fast? Because he was worried that if he didn't speed up, things might get a bit too steamy in the back seat.

Matthew held Madison in his arms in the car, and she kept calling out to him softly, seemingly drunk. Matthew tried to control her wandering hands, whispering, "Behave, we're almost home."

Madison pouted, feeling wronged. "Honey, I want to touch the abs on your stomach." Matthew was shocked and quickly covered her mouth with his hand.

If only they hadn't gone home, they could have just booked a room next to the bar.

The driver tried to remain calm in the front, but the speed kept increasing.

In short, it was a thrilling journey.

Why did the two of them always think that going home meant returning to this suburban villa? It was where they lived when they first got married. Although they now spent more time at Springside Villa due to the kids going to school, in their hearts, this villa was their true home. Despite some unhappy memories, it was where they had witnessed everything.

As they neared the villa, Madison, listening to Matthew's soothing voice, calmed down. With the alcohol taking effect, she started feeling a bit dizzy and hot. The driver parked the car, and Matthew carried her straight into the villa, all the way to the master bedroom on the second floor, where he laid her on the bed.

When Matthew placed her on the bed, Madison briefly regained consciousness. Knowing she had a slight cleanliness obsession, Matthew asked if she wanted to take a bath. With her eyes half-closed, Madison nodded. While Matthew went to run a bath for her, Madison seemed to doze off again.

Madison rarely drank to the point of getting drunk, as she had kids and rarely had the opportunity to drink. The few times she did drink too much, she never acted crazy, just a bit bolder than usual.

When Matthew returned with the bathwater ready, he was holding back his frustration, looking at Madison lying on the bed with her eyes closed. He walked over helplessly and carried her to the bathroom, where he helped her remove her makeup and wash her face. Tonight, Madison had light makeup on, so it was relatively easy to remove. However, it was still inconvenient to remove makeup for someone asleep in the bathroom, so both of them ended up getting wet. Matthew ended up taking off his clothes as well, and they ended up showering together.

As soon as they got into the bathtub, Madison slowly opened her eyes, looking confusedly at Matthew. With a soft voice, she called out, "Honey..." Matthew didn't expect her to wake up suddenly, and her sweet voice made the fire that had just been extinguished in him reignite.

Unfortunately, Madison was unaware of this, smiling softly with her eyes half-closed, and she leaned towards him gently. He hurriedly reached out to catch her, afraid she might accidentally fall into the water.

In his fluster, his hands happened to touch something soft.

His breath hitched as he pressed his hand against Madison's face.

It was so sweet...
