Chapter 345 A Huge Surprise
Madison was led in by the young girl before she could even react. She noticed that the interior of the entire movie theater seemed to have been meticulously arranged, looking quite different from its usual appearance. Colorful balloons and flowers were scattered everywhere, with many dolls placed along the corridors they passed through.
The corridor was filled with various roses, resembling a sea of flowers. She silently thought to herself that the girl who was going to be proposed to tonight must be very happy.
As they walked, after about five minutes, Madison looked around at everything carefully arranged and couldn't help but exclaim, "Your friend really has a sense of ceremony." The young girl smiled and nodded mischievously. Madison didn't know why but felt her smile was quite cunning.
"Yes, what do you think of this setup? Do you like it?" the young girl asked with a smile.
Madison was slightly taken aback. The young girl immediately explained, "I wanted to see if my friend would like this setup. Her husband wants to give her a surprise, and she doesn't know about it yet."
Understanding dawned on Madison, and she smiled. "It's very beautiful. Your friend will surely be surprised." She looked at the very beautiful champagne roses in the corridor, as she loved champagne roses the most.
Because the language of champagne roses represented "I only love you."
Soon, they reached the innermost and largest entrance of the theater. The theater doors were all beautifully decorated.
As they walked, Madison's eyes were filled with the roses, and in her mind, there were only the words “so beautiful”, feeling at a loss for words to describe it.
Standing at the entrance, they could hear soft piano music coming from inside. Madison thought it must be very lively in there. She planned to just take a quick look and then go find Matthew.
The young girl pushed open the door directly, and as Madison peeked inside, it was dark with only the sound of the piano playing, nothing like the lively atmosphere she had imagined.
She turned to the young girl in confusion. "Did we... go to the wrong place?" It was so quiet, which seemed odd.
The young girl also looked puzzled and said, "I don't think so. This is the right theater. Shall we go in and check?"
Not knowing how to refuse someone, and unable to resist the young girl's enthusiasm, Madison was practically dragged inside.
The theater was decorated with twinkling lights, showing signs of careful arrangement. Madison was about to turn around to tell the young girl, that they might have made a mistake and, that she should contact her friend herself, as Madison was ready to go back to find Matthew.
But when she turned around, the young girl was nowhere to be seen. The person who had just led her in had disappeared in the blink of an eye. Madison prepared to walk towards the door.
Suddenly, a beam of light shone ahead, revealing a very large piano with a familiar figure seated in front of it.
Madison was completely stunned in place. ‘Matthew? How could he be here?’
Music filled the air, and Matthew's voice, as melodious as a cello, echoed in the theater, the lyrics carrying a promise to Madison, sung with sincerity and charm.
Madison stood there, watching people who had been queuing for tickets just moments ago now playing the piano and singing in front of her, completely caught off guard.
As the song ended, a large screen in front lit up, and their movie began to play.
A video edited by Matthew appeared on the big screen, starting from their first photo together, the initial picture on their marriage certificate, all the way to the present, including many photos taken without her knowledge, which she saw for the first time today. There were also videos of their family outings, all incorporated into what was playing.
The final scene showed Matthew on camera, seeming a bit uneasy and nervous. It was probably his first time doing something like this, something he had once called silly, but he had done it for her.
Matthew delivered a long confession, recounting their journey from acquaintance to love and cherishing each other.
Madison looked at him in front of her, tears streaming down her face without her realizing it. ‘So, the movie he wants to show me is our own movie? How could he make me so moved?’ Now, all she wanted to do was run towards him and hold him tightly.
As Madison was about to walk down, lights suddenly illuminated the space, creating an archway of starlight between her and Matthew.
Carrying a huge bouquet of champagne roses, Matthew walked towards her step by step.
Madison stopped in her tracks, standing still. Suddenly, many people emerged from the darkness, and Madison realized that everyone had come.
Willow walked up to Madison with a rose in hand, playfully saying, "Hi, Madison."
Wide-eyed and with tears of emotion in her eyes, Madison hoarsely asked, "Willow? Why... why did you all come?" She saw everyone behind Willow.
"It’s such a big event. How could we not be here?" Patrick said with a smile, handing her a rose. He felt that he had also contributed to Matthew's proposal. Seeing how touched Madison was, he knew they had succeeded.
Following him were Mitchell, Liam, Ophelia, Daniel, and Victor, each handing a rose to Madison.
Madison accepted each of their roses one by one, too surprised to react, and then she saw Rachel, Nicholas, and even her studio colleagues had all come.
Overwhelmed with excitement, her voice trembling. "Why... why is everyone here?"
Rachel walked up to her with a smile. "Madison, Mr. Nelson told us early on about tonight's surprise. Sorry, we were bribed for this."
For a moment, Madison was at a loss for words. Looking at Matthew holding champagne roses and walking towards her, tears kept flowing from her eyes.
She thought, ‘He really is walking towards me in the light.’
Matthew approached her, holding the bouquet of roses, gently wiping away her tears. She looked at him through tear-filled eyes, filled with surprise and emotion.
She hadn't even had time to calm down from this wave of surprises when Matthew took a step back in front of her, directly kneeling down on one knee, looking up at her with a handsome smile, his melodious voice ringing out. "Madison, will you marry me?"
Finishing his proposal, he handed Madison the rose in his hand. Although they were already married, Matthew, kneeling on one knee, couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.
