Chapter 355 Unjust Mitchell
Mitchell looked at her with some confusion. ‘Why is her face so blushed? Is she feeling unwell?’ He reached out his hand, preparing to touch her forehead.
Startled, Willow stepped back, hitting the back of her head on the bedpost, then she covered her head.
Hurriedly, Mitchell approached, checking the bumped area with concern, and asked anxiously, "Are you okay? Does it hurt a lot? Why were you so careless?"
In fact, it didn't hurt much. She was mainly startled by the chat content in the group just now, and being suddenly approached by Mitchell scared her.
Looking at Mitchell's worried face, Willow shook her head and softly replied, "It doesn't hurt."
After carefully examining the bumped area and confirming it was fine, Mitchell said, "It's just a bit red, should be okay. Go change your clothes. I'll take you to eat something delicious."
Mitchell had no idea that they were chatting in the group. He thought Willow had been watching TV all along and never expected to be suspected by Daniel of having 'performance issues.'
Just a moment ago, Mitchell was sitting in front of the computer. After finishing work, he had been searching for a good place to eat with his phone, wanting to take Willow out for a meal. Although she always praised her own cooking, saying it was delicious, he was concerned that over time, she might get tired of it, so he wanted to try something different.
After scrolling through his phone for half an hour, more seriously than when he reviewed project contracts at work, he finally found a well-reviewed barbecue restaurant near the apartment. Willow liked these kinds of food, so he made a reservation to go there for dinner.
He himself didn't even realize it; he never used to eat these things before but had completely changed his taste since they started their relationship. He now followed her to eat spicy dishes, barbecue, and street food.
People did change because of love.
Upon hearing that Mitchell wanted to take her to eat barbecue, Willow quickly changed into suitable clothes, grabbed his hand, and they headed out. The barbecue restaurant was only about two miles from the apartment, so they planned to walk there and back after eating, enjoying a leisurely stroll.
The barbecue restaurant was bustling, and although they had left early to get there, they still had to wait in line for over ten minutes before getting a table. Willow's face, without any makeup, had a natural blush, making her look mischievously cute. While waiting, she held Mitchell's hand and looked around eagerly, as if she couldn't wait to see what delicious food was available.
Previously, Mitchell would never have wasted time waiting for a table to eat. He believed that time could be better spent looking at a couple more reports. Therefore, he usually preferred simple, clean, and quick meals to fill his stomach.
He probably never imagined that one day he would be doing this.
The barbecue tasted really good, receiving high praise from Willow, who was a snack enthusiast. Mitchell finally felt satisfied.
It turned out that accompanying someone one cared about to eat what they loved could truly uplift one’s mood.
After finishing the barbecue, the two walked hand in hand along the street, passing through the night market area. Mitchell watched as Willow glanced at the stalls, showing interest here and there, saying she wanted to buy something and then changing her mind.
Overall, her demeanor was quite charming.
Mitchell held her hand tightly as they strolled around, although she bounced around excitedly, she didn't stray far. They walked through a night market that was about 30 feet long, taking over twenty minutes to come out. Although they didn't buy anything, Willow was very happy, smiling all the way with a grin, and Mitchell followed behind, his gaze never leaving her, looking indulgent.
After leaving the night market stalls, the two continued walking hand in hand, their shadows elongated by the streetlights. Mitchell seemed a bit impatient.
"Willow, do you think your parents will finish their lecture soon?" he asked in a low voice.
Willow tilted her head, counting on her fingers seriously. "They should be. They should be returning to Seaspring Valley City from school next Wednesday." She continued walking a few steps before realizing that Mitchell wasn't following. She turned back to see him standing there looking at her with a face of grievance as if she had done something to upset him.
Running back excitedly, she asked, "What's wrong?"
Mitchell pursed his lips, staring at Willow without saying a word, looking pitiful.
After a moment of contemplation, Willow suddenly understood. She smirked, took Mitchell's hand, playfully blinked her eyes, and mischievously asked, "Do we still have tickets to fly from Horizon City to Seaspring Valley City next Wednesday?"
"How would I know?" Mitchell felt utterly wronged. In a moment of frustration, he didn't even catch the meaning behind Willow's words.
"How are we going to get back to Seaspring Valley City then?" Willow pretended to be aggrieved as well.
It was only then that Mitchell realized the situation. He immediately pulled her into his arms. "If we don't have tickets, we'll charter a plane over. Next Wednesday, take me back to see your parents." Without waiting for Willow to respond, he leaned in and kissed her on the face.
The urgent and lingering kiss enveloped Willow like a flame until she was out of breath. Mitchell then let her go and held her by the roadside.
The slight grievance Mitchell had felt just a while ago had now dissipated. He realized that she understood, and this relationship was not something he was striving for alone. Willow was also running towards him with the same effort.
Pedestrians on the street kept turning back to look at them, whispering to each other. Blushing, Willow hurriedly pulled Mitchell back to the apartment.
Once back at the apartment, Mitchell asked Willow to take a shower first while he had an email to attend to. Willow, holding the pajamas that Mitchell had washed and dried for her, walked into the bathroom.
When she came out of the shower, she saw Mitchell still sitting in front of the computer, staring at the screen intently, looking serious and focused on his work.
She had always found the serious side of Mitchell most attractive. Even when he was tutoring her in the past, he had the same serious expression.
Looking further down, Willow noticed that Mitchell had unbuttoned two buttons of his shirt, and rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, revealing his flawless skin and slightly bulging veins. She couldn't help but stare, feeling mesmerized and swallowing nervously.
How did she become so pornographic now?
Mitchell heard the sound and turned to look at her. His previously serious expression immediately softened, and with a slight smile, he said in a gentle tone, "All done with your shower? Go to bed first, I'll be working a while longer."
"Okay," Willow replied, blushing, and pulled the covers over herself. In the quiet night, every sound was amplified, including the sound of her heartbeat.
