Chapter 435 Curious Baby
Mitchell got up as soon as he received the call.
Willow also woke up, sitting groggily on the bed and rubbing her eyes. Her voice was a bit hoarse from just waking up. "Mitchell, who is it?"
"It's Daniel. She's urging us to go over. Take your time getting up, and I'll unpack the suitcase," Mitchell said softly to her as he was already out of bed and getting dressed.
Willow sat there for a moment before nodding and saying, "Mitchell, don't forget to take out the gifts we prepared for Daniel and your parents, and don't forget the signed photo."
Mitchell smiled and said, "Got it."
Then he went to the bathroom to wash his face.
Willow also got out of bed, yawning as she went to the closet to find clothes to change into.
By the time Mitchell came out of the bathroom, having washed his face and brushed his teeth, he looked refreshed. He opened the suitcase and started organizing. Willow took her clothes to the bathroom to change, and when she came out, he had already sorted everything out from the suitcases.
The gifts they prepared for everyone were placed separately in the storage room, and the items for Daniel, Richard, and Jessica were on the table, ready to be taken.
"Are you ready?" Mitchell asked with a smile when he saw her come out.
"Yes," Willow replied with a sweet smile.
"Then let's go," Mitchell said, taking her hand with one hand and grabbing the bags on the table with the other.
They left together. It took about half an hour to drive to the residence.
As soon as the car stopped, Willow and Mitchell saw Jessica and Daniel coming out to greet them.
Jessica, with a big smile, took Willow's hand and said, "Willow, you're finally here. Was the trip to Maple City tiring? Did the food not suit your taste? You look like you've lost weight. I've prepared a lot of your favorite dishes. Make sure to eat more later."
"Thank you," Willow said sweetly with a smile.
Daniel also came over and took Willow's hand, whispering, "Did you bring Joseph's signed photo?"
"Yes, I did," Willow whispered back with a smile.
Mitchell stood behind the three of them, watching as Jessica and Daniel each took one of Willow's arms and led her inside.
He felt like an outsider, thinking to himself that maybe he should come back less often if even Willow was being monopolized.
Once inside, Mitchell handed the bags to Jessica and Daniel. "These aren't from me; Willow bought them for you in Maple City."
Both of them happily took the bags.
Daniel immediately spotted Joseph's signed photo and jumped up in excitement.
Jessica, seeing the photo, asked, "Who's this? He's quite good-looking. Is Willow introducing him to you?"
"I wish!" Daniel said with a beaming smile as she carefully put the photo away.
Richard, wearing an apron, was helping in the kitchen and didn't feel embarrassed at all when he saw Mitchell and Willow walk in. He warmly invited them to sit down and get ready to eat.
Mitchell walked over and handed the remaining bag to Richard. "Dad, Willow got you a gift."
Richard, hearing that he also had a gift, quickly wiped his hands with a towel and couldn't stop smiling. "Did I get one too? Thank you, Willow."
Daniel got some autograph photos and a bag.
Jessica received a dress, and Richard got a unique ornament.
Although these gifts weren't particularly expensive, they were thoughtfully chosen and hit the mark, so everyone loved them.
After receiving the gifts, Jessica invited them to eat.
The table was filled with all of Willow's favorite dishes.
After dinner, Jessica suggested that they stay overnight at the villa.
Mitchell wasn't too happy about it because if they stayed at the villa, Willow wouldn't be able to sleep in the same room with him.
Since they were still just boyfriend and girlfriend, they couldn't sleep together at home.
Willow ended up sharing a room with Daniel.
Before Mitchell could come up with an excuse to refuse, he heard Willow cheerfully agree to Jessica's suggestion to stay over.
Seeing her bright smile, he thought, 'Well... let's stay then.'
Then he started pondering whether he should bring up the topic of their engagement again since Willow had already accepted his proposal.
Willow, unaware of his thoughts, was soon pulled into Daniel's room to chat.
Mitchell felt awkward following them, so he stayed in the living room, watching TV absentmindedly and frequently glancing upstairs.
Jessica and Richard went for their usual post-dinner walk, leaving him alone in the living room.
He felt like he had been abandoned.
Upstairs, in Daniel's room.
Daniel was carefully taking out the photos and posters, saying, "I'm going to frame these posters and buy some photo frames for the pictures."
She carefully put them away in the cabinet.
Willow sat on the bed, casually flipping through a magazine.
After tidying up the signed photos and posters, Daniel sat next to Willow, looking curious and gossipy as she whispered, "Willow, were you and my brother... you know... this afternoon?"
Willow looked up from the magazine, confused. "This afternoon?"
They were sleeping in the afternoon.
Daniel's eyes widened with curiosity as she nodded vigorously. "Yeah, when I called you, and you didn't answer, my brother picked up."
"Oh, that time," Willow said.
"We were sleeping," she answered straightforwardly.
Daniel almost wanted to cover her mouth.
'Isn't that too bold to say out loud? Although we're at home, we should keep it down,' she thought.
Before she could reach out, Willow continued, "We didn't rest well on the plane, and Mitchell was tired, so we took a nap when we got back."
"Oh." Daniel nodded thoughtfully, then lowered her voice even more and whispered, "Have you and my brother... you know... done it?"
She blushed as she asked. She had never been in a relationship and only talked about such things without experience, so she felt quite shy bringing it up.
Willow, not understanding what she meant, looked at her blankly. "Done what?"
"Oh, you know... that!" Daniel was also embarrassed to say it directly.
Willow still looked at her with big, confused eyes.
Finally, Daniel decided to just say it, "I mean making love."
As soon as she said that, Willow's face turned visibly red.
She never expected Daniel to ask about that.
