Chapter 383 Ladies-only Party
Danielle's ladies-only party was planned for Saturday night a week before the wedding. All the ladies who received the invitation showed up on time at the location Danielle had specified. The address Danielle provided was the presidential suite of the most luxurious hotel in Horizon City. Everyone was puzzled as to why the party would be held in a hotel room. Madison thought they would just go to Mitchell's bar for some fun or find a karaoke place to sing. She never expected it to be in a hotel suite.
The group arrived almost simultaneously. Looking at the grand sign of the star-rated hotel, Willow hesitantly said, "Did Danielle give us the wrong address? I thought we were going to sing karaoke and then have some barbecue." Because that was how they usually had fun.
"I thought so, too. It seems that this ladies-only party is going to be quite different," Madison said with a smile.
"I thought we were just going to have dinner together," Rachel said.
"If Danielle planned it, there must be a big surprise," Ophelia added with a grin.
The four ladies then walked into the hotel together.
It seemed that besides Danielle, the planner, the others all had "personal drivers." Danielle had arrived early to wait for everyone, so Matthew, Mitchell, Liam, and Nicholas, the four drivers, dropped off their ladies at the hotel entrance. Mitchell then invited them to his bar to wait and be on standby for any requests from the ladies.
Madison, Willow, and the others took the elevator to the top floor of the hotel. At the end of the hall was the presidential suite. When they reached the door, they saw it was slightly ajar. Madison, leading the way, pushed the door open and walked in.
"Danielle..." Before she could finish her sentence, she was startled by the sound of a party popper. Danielle, holding the popper tube, jumped out from behind the door and laughed loudly. "Surprise! Welcome to the ladies-only party."
As they walked in, they saw that the presidential suite was decorated very warmly, with colorful balloons and roses lining the way. The tables in the room had been rearranged into one large table, which was covered with desserts, cakes, and a lot of alcohol.
There was indeed a lot of alcohol, taking up half the table, with various wines, fruit wines, and beverages. Danielle excitedly ran over, spreading her arms wide, and said, "How is it? Surprised and excited? I've been here preparing since the morning." She then pointed to the bottles and said, "Tonight, we won't leave until we're drunk. No one is allowed to go home. I learned some cocktail recipes online, and I'll make some for you to try later."
Willow stared at everything in front of her, wide-eyed and in disbelief. "Danielle, you're amazing. Did you prepare all this by yourself?" She couldn't help but give her a thumbs-up.
"Our Danielle is truly awesome," Madison also praised.
"Are we really going to drink all this?" Ophelia walked over, picked up a bottle of wine, and looked closely at it. It seemed like the one she had seen on the main table at a celebration banquet before, probably not cheap.
"We have to finish it all. If we don't, it'll be a waste. All this wine was secretly taken from Mitchell's wine cabinet, and his collection is not cheap."
"I can tell. My boss used to give these as gifts," Rachel said happily. She was always responsible for external communications at work, so she was very outgoing, which made her familiar with the group a long time ago.
"I also ordered some takeout, which should be arriving soon. Basically, whatever you want to eat tonight, we've got it. I rarely organize events for everyone, so I promise you'll be satisfied," Danielle said cheerfully. Everyone admired her; she had done such a perfect job on her own, something they probably couldn't have managed even together.
"There are even bigger surprises waiting for you all later," Danielle said as she started opening the bottles and pouring various drinks into a large bucket.
"Another surprise? This is already a big surprise," Madison said with a smile. Ophelia, helping to open the bottles, also smiled and said, "What other surprises? Danielle, I think you have many undiscovered talents. Whoever marries you will be very lucky."
"Yeah, I wonder who will be lucky enough to marry our Danielle," Willow chimed in. After mixing the drinks, Danielle poured a glass for everyone and said happily, "I also want to know who will be that lucky." Everyone burst into laughter.
Each person raised their glass and said in unison, "Cheers!" Then they took a hearty drink. Madison took a sip and nodded. "Not bad. Danielle, your bartending skills could get you a job at Mitchell's bar."
"Yes, it's good. The alcohol taste isn't too strong." Ophelia also nodded in approval.
"This is perfect for me; it doesn't seem very strong," Willow said naively, taking another sip, feeling like she was just drinking a beverage.
"Willow, this drink isn't low in alcohol," Rachel said with a laugh, "It's like a cocktail; even though it has various mixers, the alcohol content is still there. You might get drunk without realizing it."
Willow, startled, quickly put down her glass. Mitchell didn't like her drinking and had previously told her to drink less. Danielle refilled her glass and said, "If you get drunk, just sleep on the bed. There are two big beds, so there's nothing to worry about. We're not going home tonight anyway."
"Alright, we'll listen to Danielle tonight," Madison declared, and everyone stopped worrying. They figured they could just sleep it off later.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Danielle ran to open it; the takeout she had ordered had arrived. She brought in two large bags of takeout and placed them on the table, announcing, "Alright, everything's here. The big surprise I prepared for you is about to be revealed."
Everyone who was eating and drinking stopped and looked at her in unison. Willow asked in a daze, "It can't be barbecue, can it?"
"Of course not," Danielle said, pulling a large bag from the bedside table and dumping its contents onto the bed. The others were stunned, looking at the pile of colorful clothes spread out on the bed, not quite understanding what it meant.
They were pleated skirts and so short. Tthe tops didn't seem right either. They wondered if Danielle got the sizes wrong.
