Chapter 231 Playing Matchmaker

After a while, Liam also came down, wearing a white sportswear outfit. Only he could pull off this all-white look, resembling a recent college graduate. He held a bottle of drink in his hand and strolled toward the sun lounger. His eyes fixed on someone in his own family.

Willow swam a few laps and prepared to take a break, grabbing a bottle of water to drink. Daniel also followed her and got out of the water. Mitchell happened to be sitting on the edge of the pool stairs. As Willow and Daniel emerged from the pool and were about to go back to the house to get water, they happened to pass by Mitchell. Willow's towel happened to be draped behind the chair he was sitting on.

After Willow got out of the pool, she approached Mitchell and asked, "Mitchell, can you pass me the towel?"

Mitchell was momentarily confused, then realized that there was a cartoon towel draped behind the chair. He got up and handed the towel to Willow. Willow took her Hello Kitty towel and quickly covered herself. She still wasn't used to wearing this style of swimsuit. Daniel followed her out of the water and walked beside her, deliberately asking Mitchell, "Bro, isn't this swimsuit especially suitable for Willow? I picked it."

Mitchell looked at the girl in the black swimsuit, her skin shimmering in the sunlight, and coughed lightly. "Stop looking."

Daniel continued, "What do you think? Willow looks excellent. I envy her so much."

Blushing, Willow didn't wait for Mitchell to answer and ran off, saying, "I'm going to get some water."

Mitchell watched her retreating figure and nodded. "Very good."

At this moment, Ella came over and asked, "What are you talking about? What's so good?"

Mitchell turned around and sat down. "The scenery is good."

Ella sat down directly on the sun lounger next to Mitchell. "I also think the scenery is good. The air is fresh, and the negative ions must be high. Living here makes me so happy."

Daniel glanced at them sideways, his gaze landing on Ella's chest. "Wow, they're huge." He then turned around and went to find Willow.

Madison and Rachel were in the villa preparing lunch for everyone. Initially, they planned to go to an agriculture farm, but when Madison saw all the tools in the kitchen, she decided to cook herself. Nicholas and Hank went out to buy groceries.

There was a market near the vacation resort where local villagers sold vegetables they couldn't finish eating. They had just been picked fresh from the fields that morning. They also raised their free-range chickens and ducks and caught fish from the river. These vegetables were much fresher than those in the city. Nicholas drove with Hank and quickly bought a heap of vegetables. The trunk needed to be more to fit them all, and they even bought four or five watermelons. The fish were still alive and jumping, and they had someone help them butcher the free-range chickens.

Madison was in charge of cooking, while Rachel and Nicholas helped wash and cut the vegetables. The father-in-law and mother-in-law had gone out for a walk by the lake, so Hank also helped prepare lunch after buying groceries. Madison stewed the chicken, adding some dried bamboo shoots, and then cut up one of the watermelons they had just bought into two plates.

Just then, Willow and Daniel came in. "Willow, Daniel, I just cut up some watermelon. Come and taste it; it's very sweet," Madison said happily.

Willow walked over joyfully and stuffed a piece into her mouth. "It's really sweet," she said. Daniel followed and also picked up a piece of watermelon, nodding at Madison with a mouthful of food. "So sweet~"

"Did Quentin and Hannah go swimming, too?" Madison asked.

"Yes, Matthew put a swimming ring on each of them. They're having a great time," Willow replied. "Sister, why don't you go and have some fun too? I can help you with the cooking. Just tell me what simple dishes you want to make."

Madison politely declined with a smile. "I don't know how to swim. You guys have fun, and I'll come later in the afternoon. Take these two plates of watermelon with you, and I'll cut another one."

Willow and Daniel each took a plate of watermelon and went outside.

"We're having watermelon!" Daniel shouted from a distance, and everyone heard and got out of the pool to eat watermelon. Quentin and Hannah, the two children from the small family, rushed over when they heard there was watermelon. They each picked up a piece and stuffed it into their mouths, getting watermelon juice all over their hands and mouths. Matthew carefully handed them wet wipes to clean their hands and mouths. Willow watched Matthew's actions and felt that he had really changed a lot after losing his memory. Although he appeared cold to outsiders, he was really attentive to Sister and the two children.

Everyone gathered around the table under the parasol to eat happily. Besides swimming, the reasons for falling in love with summer are watermelon, air conditioning, and ice cream. As Patrick ate, he mentioned that he wanted to buy a watermelon to bring back later.

In the villa kitchen, Nicholas had already killed the fish and was cleaning the scales by the outside pond. Rachel and Hank stood by the pond washing vegetables. Madison had just put the steamed eggs in the pot when she turned around and saw her brother with Rachel. A bright idea flashed through her mind. These two people looked so harmonious together. She contemplated introducing Rachel to her brother. Even though her brother lived in Rivertown Bay, if Rachel married into the family, they could bring Auntie Ximena along, too. Changing 'godmother' to 'auntie' was perfect. Why hadn't she thought of it before? Madison giggled to herself as she thought about it.

Nicholas walked in with a small basin of cleaned fish.
