Chapter 289 I Like Willow

Mitchell, who had just finished showering and changed into clean clothes, joined the conversation. "Madison," he greeted her with a smile.

Madison nodded in response, taking in Mitchell's appearance in his white sportswear, his fair skin, and his fit and tall figure. Apart from his serious and mature face, he looked just like a recent college graduate. At a glance, there was no visible age difference between him and Willow; they seemed well-matched.

After everyone had gathered, Matthew led them to the hotel's Chinese restaurant for lunch. Due to time constraints, they opted to dine in rather than venture out.

Madison turned to Willow and Mitchell during the meal, suggesting, "Since you've made the trip, why not stay a few more days? Your work arrangements have been taken care of."

Willow, her mouth full of chicken feet, much like Quentin and Hannah, who were also wearing disposable gloves, casually bit into her food, unconcerned about appearances. "Madison, when are you planning to leave?" she asked.

"We're heading back tomorrow," Madison replied. They had already enjoyed several days of fun, and it was time to return.

"Tomorrow?" Willow felt a tinge of disappointment.

"Mom, let's stay a few more days with Auntie and Uncle," Hannah suggested, with her mouth full of chicken feet, showing no eagerness to leave.

"Yeah, it's boring with just Auntie and Uncle. Let's play a few more days and go back together," Quentin agreed.

Mitchell regretted his decision at that moment. He should have been more generous to the two kids.

Madison gave Mitchell a meaningful look, intentionally nodded, and then said, "It's better if we go back. Great-grandfather is waiting for you at home."

Hearing that Great-grandfather was still at home, the two kids were torn. On one side was Great-grandfather, and on the other were Auntie and Uncle. It was a difficult choice.

Madison, amused by their dilemma, said, "Let's go back and spend time with Great-grandfather first. Auntie and Uncle can play for a few more days before going to see you."

"Okay," the two kids reluctantly agreed, following their mother's arrangement to go back and find Great-grandfather.

Willow, in her usual carefree manner, said, "Let's all go back together." Mitchell's expression froze, he lowered his head, and remained silent. Matthew, sitting beside them, spoke up at the right moment, "That works, let's all go back together. But we already bought our tickets, so there's no guarantee seats will be available."

Upon hearing this, Willow quickly grabbed her phone and checked for available flights.

"Matthew, which flight did you book? Let me check," she urged.

Matthew, with a sly smile, said, "The one at 10:30 in the morning, take a look."

"Really? It's all sold out? How did you manage to get tickets?" Willow couldn't believe it and kept refreshing her phone.

Madison, with a smile, added, "Willow, why don't you two stay a couple more days? After all, you're on leave, Mitchell." Madison intentionally created an opportunity for Willow, but she didn't seem to notice.

Mitchell, who was drinking water, choked when Madison mentioned it. Willow looked at him and asked with concern, "Are you okay, Mitchell?"

Mitchell shook his head and replied, "I'm fine, just choked." After a moment, he added, "Since we can't get tickets, let's stay a few more days."

"Let's check again later. Maybe someone will cancel," Willow suggested, still hopeful, as she stared at her phone.

Matthew held her phone and covered the screen. "All right, stop checking. Let's stay a couple more days, and I'll cover the expenses," he said.

Willow's eyes widened at the mention of expenses. "Really, Matthew? Why are you suddenly so generous?"

With a serious face, Matthew replied, "Was I not good to you before?"

"No, not at all. I just couldn't help but have some doubts. Bro, I'm now sure that you've really regained your memory. I'm so moved," Willow said as she prepared to hug Matthew, but he playfully stopped her, saying, "Be a little reserved. You're a girl."

After being blocked by Matthew, Willow turned to hug Madison, saying, "I'll hug Madison the same way. When the time comes, Madison can hug you, which is equivalent to me hugging you."

Her actions prompted Quentin and Hannah to run over and join the hug, exclaiming, "We want to hug Mom too."

The group enjoyed a lively and cheerful lunch. Finally, Madison suggested having a barbecue dinner by the beach, where they could enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset.

Willow immediately agreed, excited about the idea of a beachside sunset, barbecue, and beer.

After lunch, everyone prepared to return to their rooms for some rest. With no other plans for the day, it was a time to relax. Madison and Willow led Quentin and Hannah, playfully racing ahead, leaving Matthew and Mitchell behind.

Walking side by side, Mitchell noticed that Matthew had been silent and couldn't help but speak up, "Matthew, is there something you want to tell me?"

Matthew smirked slightly, "Isn't it obvious?" he replied with a rhetorical question. Mitchell's lips curved into a smile as he realized Matthew was returning to his old self.

Mitchell stopped in his tracks and turned to face Matthew. "So, Matthew, what is it that you want to say?"

The two handsome men, both over six feet tall, stood in the hotel corridor, drawing the attention of passersby.

Feeling awkward, Matthew remained silent for a moment before finally saying, "Willow." But before he could finish his sentence, Mitchell interrupted, his voice firm, "I like Willow."

Matthew was taken aback, not expecting Mitchell to actually like Willow, let alone admit it directly to him!
