Chapter 516 Criticized One by One

Mitchell shut the office door after the training session, walked back to his desk, and called the project manager to come over.

Savannah, with slightly red eyes, was holding a folder and heading downstairs. She bumped into the project manager on his way up. Normally, she was sweet and proactive around him, especially when delivering documents.

The project manager, being older, liked this about her.

Seeing her red eyes, he asked, "Hey, Savannah, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Weren't you just delivering documents to Mr. Jonah?"

Savannah looked like she wanted to say something but just said, "I'm fine."

People around them thought Mitchell had done something to her. The girls rolled their eyes, while the guys, not knowing the situation, went to comfort her.

There was often a joke online that only girls could spot a two-faced person, while guys were easily fooled.

The project manager didn't linger and quickly took the elevator upstairs.

Mitchell was already working.

When the project manager entered, he noticed Mitchell's sour expression and thought, 'Mr. Jonah must be in a bad mood today. Savannah even got scolded to tears.'

Knowing Mitchell well from years of working together, he didn't think much more of it.

He walked over cautiously and said with a smile, "Mr. Jonah, what can I do for you?"

Mitchell looked up from the documents and said coldly, "From now on, have someone else deliver the project files."

The project manager was confused. "Did Savannah do something wrong?"

Mitchell frowned deeply, staring at him.

Feeling more anxious under Mitchell's sharp gaze, the project manager thought about how subordinates always said Mitchell was gentle and kind. Only those in management knew that when Mitchell got angry, he was scarier than Matthew. He couldn't tolerate any flaws and had high standards because of his own strong capabilities.

The project manager wondered how delivering a document could have made Mitchell so angry.

"Savannah is the intern who just delivered the documents," the project manager explained bravely.

Mitchell sneered and started scolding, "Did HR even screen properly when hiring? They let in someone with a pig brain. And how are you mentoring? She said the document was urgent, so why didn't you deliver it yourself if it was so urgent? She barged in without knocking. Does she think my office is a supermarket?"

The project manager was shocked. He hadn't expected that the usually high-EQ, capable Savannah would do something like this. He hunched his back and kept nodding. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jonah. I'll make sure to arrange the work better next time."

"No next time. I don't want to see her in my office again," Mitchell said directly.

Then, he pressed the intercom on his desk and called the secretary center, "Come over here."

Amy arrived shortly after. She had heard from the young girls in the office about Savannah causing trouble again at noon. She figured Mitchell was about to lose his temper.

Amy nodded at the project manager as a greeting, then respectfully addressed Mitchell, "Mr. Jonah."

Mitchell was trying hard to suppress his anger, especially since Willow was still inside sleeping. He looked up at Amy and instructed, "From now on, have two more people stay in the office during lunch. Don't let an intern do all your work. What's the point of having so many of you?"

Amy knew about the incident at noon. Although it was the intern from the project team who started it, her department was also responsible.

She quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, Mr. Jonah. It won't happen again."

Mitchell glanced at the two of them. "Both of you can leave now. No visitors this afternoon. We'll discuss any issues tomorrow."

The two, having just been scolded, nodded in unison and replied, "Yes, Mr. Jonah."

Then, they quickly left.

As they exited Mitchell's office together, the project manager was still unclear about the situation. He was familiar with Amy, as they had joined the company around the same time and both worked under Mitchell. They would chat occasionally.

"Why was Mr. Jonah so angry at an intern today?" the project manager wondered aloud, rubbing his chin. "Mr. Jonah is usually quite generous and considerate towards junior employees. I've never seen him get this mad at one before."

Amy glanced at him, shook her head, and walked ahead, thinking, 'So like you menfolk, isn't it?'

The project manager hurried to catch up. "Hey, you must know the inside story. Tell me what's going on."

Amy deliberately said, "Do you think you're the only one who got scolded? I got scolded too!"

She added in her mind, ‘All because of that wonderful intern from your department.’

"What exactly happened today?" the project manager pressed.

Amy thought it was necessary to remind her old colleague to avoid any further issues. She leaned in and quietly explained what Savannah had done, then added, "Do you know why Mr. Jonah is angry? Mrs. Jonah came today to bring him lunch. Your intern barged in while Mr. Jonah and his wife were still on their lunch break. We couldn't stop her. Do you think Mr. Jonah wouldn't be mad?"

The project manager finally understood, muttering to himself, "I didn't say it was urgent. I just said Mr. Jonah had time in the afternoon to sign it. She usually seems so smart. How could she have such poor timing today?"

Amy couldn't help but roll her eyes. "I've seen plenty of these two-faced girls. They only make you guys happy and have you wrapped around their fingers. Ask the girls in your department if any of them like working with her. Don't say I didn't warn you. That girl's intentions are written all over her face. She keeps finding excuses to come upstairs and deliver documents. She's been to Mr. Jonah's office countless times and always stops by our department to chat, trying to pry into Mr. Jonah's personal life. I've warned my team not to reveal anything. You'd better handle your side and not let a fresh-out-of-college girl have you all wrapped around her finger."

She said bluntly and then walked back to her office in her high heels.

The project manager also had a wife, and Amy didn't worry about him. Besides, Savannah was smart, aiming to win over their boss. Her direct supervisor was probably  not her target. She would use him at most..
