Chapter 253 Arriving in Emerald Isle City

Uncle Tristan hurriedly invited everyone inside. Old Master Matthew wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and smiled warmly. "Come inside, come inside. I am getting old, and I apologize for any inconvenience." The group entered the Villa, with Madison at the side, her eyes red. She knew her grandfather was happy for her.

Valerie had already prepared a table of clean fruits in the living room, and the scent of the meal wafted from the kitchen.

"Let's have some fruit first. The meal will be ready soon, so please wait a little longer." Old Master gestured for everyone to sit in the living room. Quentin took out the wellness pot that Father Howard had entrusted to him.

"Great-grandfather, this is the wellness pot that Grandfather sent to you. From now on, you can use it to brew tea." Quentin handed over a gift box neatly with both hands to Great-grandfather. Old Master also accepted it with both hands, opened the box, and took out the wellness pot. He examined it closely and then looked up at Father Howard, asking, "Is this Mr. Brooks' work?"

Father Howard smiled and nodded. As it turned out, Father Howard had sent the wellness pot, which was his cherished collection for many years. It was a masterpiece by Mr. Brooks. Although its value couldn't compare to Old Master's paintings, the most important thing when giving a gift was whether the recipient liked it. Father Howard had heard his daughter mentioning that Old Master enjoyed drinking tea, so he thought of sending this wellness pot specially procured from his home in Horizon City. As long as Old Master liked it, his gift was not a wrong choice.

Madison was originally excited and filled with anticipation throughout the journey. While waiting for their flight, she, Quentin, and Hannah enthusiastically played scratch-off tickets and won twenty dollars. The two kids pulled their mother and grandmother along to get ice cream. On the plane, Madison had a meal and a drink, leaned on Matthew's shoulder, and took a little nap. Finally, feeling full and refreshed, they disembarked the plane. Madison mysteriously started feeling a little nervous as they sat in the car arranged by her grandparents to pick them up.

Two cars came to pick them up. Father Howard and Mother Howard took Quentin and Hannah in one car while Hank accompanied Madison and Matthew in another vehicle. Madison and Matthew sat in the backseat. Madison gripped Matthew's hand tightly, feeling a slight sweat in her palm and a mix of nervousness and uneasiness in her heart. Matthew covered her hand with his other hand, comforting her with a reassuring look, saying, "It's okay, I'm here."

Hank sat in the passenger seat and looked at the two through the rearview mirror. He smiled and asked, "What's wrong? Are you nervous, little sister?"

Madison nodded slightly, feeling a little embarrassed. "A bit."

"No need to be nervous. They are all family, and I'm sure Grandpa and Grandma will be very happy to see you. They, just like Mom and Dad and me, have been waiting for you for over twenty years. If it weren't for their health, they would be going to Horizon City with Mom and Dad this time. They are eagerly awaiting your return. For the other people, if you feel uncomfortable after greeting them, go back to your room. Don't worry, you have me." Hank comforted her. "Besides, why worry? You have a husband and children, and you are not under pressure to get married. Brother is the one they have their eyes on."

Madison burst into laughter and then asked, "Brother, will there be a lot of people later?"

Hank hesitated before speaking, "I think it should be fine."

Holding hands with Matthew, Madison didn't say anything more. After hearing what her brother said, she was truly less nervous. She now had a grandfather, a grandmother, and many other relatives. At this moment, Madison felt grateful, realizing how kind life had been to her.

The car soon entered through a large iron gate and came to a stop. Madison looked out of the window, wondering if they had arrived.

Hank got out of the car first, and Matthew led Madison out as well. They didn't see any buildings, just a shaded path in front of them. Their car arrived earlier, while Father Howard and Mother Howard's car had yet to come.

Madison looked around, and it seemed more like a large garden. "Brother, are we in the right place?"

"Little sister, are you questioning your brother's intelligence? I kept my memory as your husband did. How could I walk to the wrong house?"

Matthew furrowed his brows slightly and gave Hank a cold look, making Hank shiver. He quickly added, "Cars can't go on this road. Let's wait for our parents to arrive, and then we can all walk in together. It's a quick walk, just ten minutes or so. I've walked this way since I was a child."
