Chapter 334 Caught in the Act

The passionate kiss between the two was abruptly interrupted by a piercing scream that tore through the air. "Ah..." Moving against the back of the black leather sofa, Mitchell turned his head to look as a Young Girl from the sixteenth-floor secretary center, under Amy's supervision, stood nervously at the door of Mitchell's office.

With a stern expression, Mitchell said, "Get out."

Looking at Mitchell's serious face, the Young Girl turned pale with fear. She quickly crouched down to pick up the folder that had fallen to the ground and then hurriedly ran off like the wind. Mitchell looked at his wide-open office door and was certain that Laura had done it on purpose.

Willow was also startled, lying on the sofa with her hands covering her face, thinking that this would hide her from view. However, the Young Girl indeed didn't see her, as she was lying on the sofa with the backrest blocking her. The Young Girl only saw Mr. Jonah in the office performing a mature scene, with whom she was unsure.

Mitchell turned back and, seeing the adorable actions of the person below him, his expression immediately softened. Just a moment ago, he was scolding someone with a dark face, and now he was looking at the person below him with a face full of affection. Mitchell took her hands away from her face, "It's okay, everyone's gone." Willow looked like she wanted to cry, "What should we do, Mitchell? What if someone saw us?" It was no longer just a simple matter of dating; if this spread around the office, it would be a problem. Willow was on the verge of tears with worry.

Mitchell hurriedly reassured her, "No one saw you. The sofa perfectly hid you."

Willow raised her head, staring with her watery eyes, "Really?"

"Absolutely," Mitchell promised with a smile, "If you don't believe me, you can go stand by the door and see for yourself." Seeing her genuine concern, Mitchell got up, walked to the door, and closed it. "Really, no one can see anything." Willow ran over, stood next to Mitchell, stretched her neck, looked around from various angles, confirmed that she was indeed invisible, and finally felt relieved. Then she turned to Mitchell and couldn't help but say, "Mitchell, don't call me upstairs during work hours in the future."

"But I want to see you. Otherwise, I can't focus on work." Mitchell was uncompromising on this issue. With his girlfriend downstairs, not being able to see her all day was unacceptable.

"Well, then, we can't kiss in the office from now on," Willow said shyly, lowering her head. Otherwise, she would forget to resist every time Mitchell tempted her.

"No way," Mitchell refused. "That won't do. At most, I'll remember to lock the door next time." He wouldn't give her any benefits; that wouldn't do. Willow couldn't argue with him and resolved to be fully focused when going to the sixteenth floor in the future, maintaining a high level of work efficiency.

Willow now faced a new dilemma: she absolutely couldn't walk out of Mitchell's office, or her name would definitely be the center of gossip tomorrow. However, she couldn't just stay there without returning to her workstation. She was in a dilemma—how could she sneak away without being noticed? Should she really wait until lunchtime when everyone went to eat?

Seeing her troubled expression, Mitchell said directly, "Ask for leave from your manager, and don't go back."

"That's not good. I'll have to lie to the manager again." Willow felt like avoiding the manager whenever she saw him.

Mitchell couldn't bear to see her in distress and had to come up with a solution. "I'll gather everyone for a meeting later, and you can leave on your own." Willow thought this was a good idea. When Mitchell and the others were in the meeting, the office would be empty, and she could leave without being noticed—perfect.

Finally smiling sweetly, she said to Mitchell, "Thank you, Mitchell."

Mitchell smirked, realizing that he had caused this trouble and now had to take responsibility for it. He had to comfort his own wife.

The Young Girl from the secretary's office ran back to the office with the files in her arms, looking terrified. Amy saw her rushing in recklessly and scolded her, "What's the rush? You'll be reprimanded if the boss sees you like this later." The Young Girl had just graduated this year and had only been with the company for two months. She was usually diligent and reliable, and Amy had never seen her act like this before. Amy noticed her pale face and asked with concern, "What's wrong? You look terrible."

Little did Amy know, this question almost made the Young Girl burst into tears. "Amy, I'm done for. I'm definitely getting fired." The Young Girl felt that stumbling upon such an intimate moment between the boss and someone else in her office would surely lead to her dismissal. She never expected to see the boss being intimate with someone in her office; she had only wanted Mr. Jonah's signature, and now she regretted not waiting a bit longer.

Amy was anxious, thinking she had made a serious mistake. "What happened? How could something as simple as getting Mr. Jonah's signature lead to such a serious consequence?" She sat the Young Girl down on a chair and tried to calm her down.

The Young Girl gradually calmed down and blushed inexplicably. She didn't know how to explain the situation. The boss's private affairs were a mystery to her, and she couldn't help but think Mr. Jonah usually seemed so serious, and his recent behavior was so scary. She was sure she was done for. She felt like crying again as she thought about it; she didn't want to be fired.

Amy was getting increasingly worried. "Please stop crying and tell me what happened."

The Young Girl finally stammered, "Amy, I just..."

"I'm really anxious. What happened just now?" Amy was on the verge of speaking for her.

"I just saw Mr. Jonah being intimate with someone in his office. I'm done for; Mr. Jonah's look just now was so terrifying. I'm going to pack up my things; I probably won't be coming back tomorrow." She stood up, ready to gather her belongings. Amy grabbed her, looking incredulous, her jaw almost dropping. "What? Did you just say someone was being intimate in the office?"

With tears in her eyes, the Young Girl looked at her leader. Hadn't she made herself clear just now? And why was Amy's reaction so exaggerated?

"It... it was Mr. Jonah." The Young Girl repeated once more.
