Chapter 492 The Family Enjoyed Mexican Food

On a snowy day in Frostpine, the weather in Horizon City was surprisingly nice leading up to the holiday. It wasn't warm, but the sun was out. Speaking of which, Horizon City hadn't seen snow in two winters.

Lloyd and Patricia flew in from Seaspring Valley City to Horizon City three days before the holiday.

If Willow wasn't pregnant, she and Mitchell would have gone to Seaspring Valley City to spend the holiday with Lloyd and Patricia. But since it's not advisable to travel in the first three months, Lloyd and Patricia came to Horizon City instead.

Willow and Mitchell were living in their small house, enjoying their time together.

When Lloyd and Patricia arrived, Jessica had everyone stay at the Jonah Residence. The villa was spacious enough for everyone, and with Christmas coming up, it was nice to have a lively gathering. It was also a good chance to prepare nutritious meals for Willow.

Even though Mitchell took great care of her, Jessica was still worried and often brought lots of food to their apartment to cook for her.

Willow didn't show any signs of pregnancy yet; her stomach was flat, and she had a good appetite. She always said she must be carrying an angel baby who was considerate and not mischievous, letting her eat and sleep well every day.

Mitchell went alone to pick up Lloyd and Patricia from the airport, which was over an hour's drive from the Jonah Residence.

Willow wanted to go, but Mitchell convinced her to stay home, not wanting her to endure the long car ride and the crowded airport. He brought his in-laws directly back to the Jonah Residence, and the family had dinner together.

Willow had casually mentioned at lunch that she hadn't had Mexican food in a while, so Jessica immediately decided they would have Mexican food for dinner and dragged Richard to the supermarket to buy ingredients.

Danielle had also been staying at home more often lately, wanting to join in the fun with Willow and Mitchell. She came home early that evening and was greeted by the aroma of Mexican food as soon as she walked in. Seeing the table set with Mexican dishes, she exclaimed, "Oh my God, Mom, am I seeing things? Are we having Mexican food tonight?"

Jessica brought out the last dish and replied with a smile, "Yes, are you happy?"

Danielle's eyes widened in surprise. "Mom, aren't you kidding? You used to say no one was allowed to eat Mexican food at home, and now you're making it yourself, right?"

Richard came out and added with a smile, "Not only did she make it, but she also bought all the ingredients by herself."

Danielle stared at Jessica, who responded confidently, "Willow wanted it today, so you all get to enjoy it too."

Danielle, understanding, smiled and sat down. "I see." She didn't mind at all that Jessica doted on Willow, especially since Willow was her beloved sister-in-law.

"Go wash your hands first," Jessica told her, noticing she had just come in from outside.

At that moment, Mitchell and Willow came downstairs with Lloyd and Patricia.

Willow had just helped them settle their luggage since they planned to stay for a while. They decided to move back to Willow's apartment after the holiday because she was pregnant and they intended to stay in Horizon City longer.

William had initially offered them a place at Nelson Mansion, but with Madison about to give birth, they declined. They didn't want to add to Valerie's workload. It was more convenient for them to stay elsewhere, and they were used to being on their own.

Danielle, after washing her hands, greeted Lloyd and Patricia warmly. "Hello, Uncle Lloyd and Auntie Patricia."

"Danielle, you're back. You're getting prettier, but you've lost some weight. Don't follow others in dieting," Patricia said with a smile, treating Danielle as she did Willow.

"Auntie Patricia, I'm not dieting. I've just been busy. You'll see how much I can eat later," Danielle replied. She had indeed been very busy lately and hadn't intentionally lost weight; it was just from being overworked.

Everyone gathered around the table to enjoy the Mexican food. Jessica had prepared a wide variety of ingredients, making the meal even more sumptuous than at a restaurant.

Everyone had a great time.

Jessica had never been a fan of Mexican food before, especially spicy dishes. But tonight, after following Willow's ingredient list and trying a bite, she got hooked, eating while sipping her drink.

Danielle was amazed, never expecting Jessica to have such a potential for spicy food. It seemed Mexican food would become a regular at their home.

Jessica praised Willow as she ate, "Willow's recommendation was spot on. Mexican food is perfect for winter; it warms me right up."

She took another sip of her drink, and everyone laughed.

That night, Willow lay in bed, feeling a bit stuffed from the Mexican food. Even after a half-hour walk with Mitchell and Danielle, she still felt full.

When Mitchell came out of the shower and saw her lying stiffly on the bed with a frown, he panicked, thinking something was wrong with her stomach. He rushed to her side, asking anxiously, "Honey, what's wrong? Is your stomach hurting?"

He bent down to pick her up, ready to take her to the hospital.

Willow quickly stopped him. "No, put me down first."

Mitchell paused, asking suspiciously, "Really? Is there nothing wrong?"

"Really, I just ate too much tonight and feel a bit stuffed," Willow explained, feeling a twinge of bashfulness.

Mitchell sighed in relief, gently placing her back on the bed. He pinched her nose affectionately and said, "You really scared me."

Then, he looked down at her stomach, saying, "Looks like the baby is a great eater, just like you."

Willow burst into laughter. It was clearly her who had eaten too much, but Mitchell insisted it was the baby. He really knew how to make her happy. She was only a little over two months pregnant and already eating so much. She worried that when her belly grew bigger, she might gain a lot of weight.
