Chapter 391 Childish Liam
Rachel couldn't help but shout. Then, nervously, she wrapped her hands around Nicholas' neck.
Nicholas carried her towards the bed and then placed her on it. "You sleep on the bed. I'll sleep on the couch." When he prepared to head to the couch, Rachel sat up and grabbed his hand. "The couch is too small. I'll sleep on the couch." Nicholas pressed her shoulders down. "Be good." Rachel wanted to say something more, but Nicholas deliberately said with a smirk, "Or we could sleep together."
Rachel quieted down immediately and lay on the bed obediently. Nicholas stood by the bed, looking at her, and only after tucking her in the sheet did he turn to leave. Rachel listened to the sounds behind her, knowing that Nicholas had laid down on the couch. She opened her eyes, feeling her heart beating more prominently in the dark. She covered it with her hand, afraid it would be discovered.
Nicholas, being tall, indeed found it uncomfortable to sleep on the small couch, with his legs hanging off the edge. But he lay there with his eyes open because Rachel was sleeping on the big bed in the room, not because of discomfort. After lying on the couch for a while, Nicholas got up to get a bottle of cold water from the fridge, feeling too hot.
Just as he got up, he heard Rachel's voice. "Nicholas."
Nicholas paused. "Did I wake you?"
"No. Are you having trouble sleeping? Why don't you sleep on the bed?" Rachel said softly, clutching the blanket. Her voice got smaller, but in the quiet night, Nicholas heard it all. Nicholas walked to the bed and gently called, "Rachel."
Rachel covered her face with the blanket, too shy to speak.
Nicholas curled his lips slightly, lifted the blanket, and got into bed. Rachel felt the mattress sink behind her. After a while, she felt a warm breath surrounding her like a fire. She tensed up, lying stiffly without daring to move. Nicholas turned to her and pulled her into his arms, his deep, husky voice softly calling from behind her, "Rachel, are you asleep?"
Rachel responded softly. Nicholas' hot lips landed on her back, and she couldn't help but moan. Nicholas seemed greatly encouraged, kissing her patiently and gently, his hands slipping under her nightgown.
The night had already descended, and the room was filled with endless tenderness and romantic scenery.
When Liam came out holding Ophelia, the driver had just pulled the car up to the hotel entrance. Liam had called his driver as soon as he left the bar. Ophelia had gained some popularity recently, so they couldn't just take a cab home. Since he couldn't drive, he had to call the driver.
Ophelia, drifting off , kept leaning against the car window and looking outside, which made Liam extremely frustrated. He pondered, 'Could the glass window be more comfortable than my shoulder?'
As the car passed a dessert shop, Ophelia's eyes lit up, and she asked the driver to stop.
"Stop."
The driver pulled over. Liam frowned slightly and asked with concern, "What's wrong? Are you feeling sick? Do you want to throw up?"
"I want to buy some cupcakes," she said and opened the car door to get out. Liam quickly opened his door and followed her, walking briskly to her side and grabbing her hand to bring her back to the car. He said, "Indulging in a midnight snack? Aren't you afraid of gaining weight? If Shirley finds out, she'll scold you."
Shirley was Ophelia's agent, known for being tough and strict with her. Midnight snacks were completely forbidden, but Ophelia always disobeyed.
And she was about to buy something in her bathrobe. Was she trying to make headlines tomorrow?
Ophelia turned to Liam and said with a stunning grin, "You can't tell Shirley. I'm hungry."
Looking at her adorable grin, Liam deliberately put on a stern face and said, "Stay in the car. I'll go buy it."
"Okay, I want a strawberry one." Ophelia curled up in the leather back seat, starting to make demands.
"How would I know if they have strawberry cupcakes? I'll buy whatever they have. You should be grateful to have something to eat," Liam said as he closed the car door and walked towards the cake shop.
In no time, he came back with a box in his hand. He got in the car and handed it to Ophelia. Ophelia took it with a smile and asked, "Is it strawberry cupcake?"
Liam pressed his lips and said, "You're lucky. It was the last strawberry cupcake." In fact, when he got there, the last strawberry cupcake had just been bought by two girls ahead of him in line. Boldly, he had the audacity to buy it from them. Even though he said he would buy whatever was available, he didn't want to disappoint her.
Ophelia opened the box and was delighted upon seeing the strawberry cupcake. She puckered her lips and leaned forward to kiss Liam on the cheek. Liam awkwardly blushed, and the bit of frustration he felt from being ignored earlier was replaced by happiness from the kiss.
Ophelia was genuinely a bit hungry. She had only been drinking and hadn't eaten much. After a nap, she was half-sober, and her stomach started growling. She eagerly started eating the cake. Her cheeks puffed out, and her lips were covered in cream. She quickly finished the cupcake.
Watching her, Liam couldn't help but reach out and pull her over. He then leaned down and kissed her, licking all the cream off her lips before letting go. He licked his lips and said, "It is pretty good." Ophelia, weakened by his kiss, leaned softly against his chest. Liam, with one arm around her, was finally satisfied.
Liam, who was jealous of the car window, was indeed very childish.
Ophelia, full and content, quickly fell asleep, leaning against Liam. When they got home, it was Liam who carried her upstairs. Looking at Ophelia sleeping soundly on the bed, Liam, in a fit of frustration, gently pinched her nose. Ophelia frowned, swatted his hand away, mumbled something, and turned over to continue sleeping. Liam didn't have the heart to really wake her up. He started to untie her bathrobe to make her more comfortable.
The moment the bathrobe came undone, he froze, his Adam's apple involuntarily bobbing. The uniform she was wearing made her look both pure and alluring. Liam, completely unprepared, was thoroughly captivated.
