Chapter 451 Call Me Honey
Willow, with her wide-awake eyes, looked at Mitchell, puzzled, and asked, "What?"
Mitchell continued to look at her with a smile and then seriously said, "Did we get married?"
Willow nodded.
Mitchell then asked, "After getting married, aren't we couple?"
Willow hesitated, her face starting to blush, but she still nodded.
Finally, she heard Mitchell's hoarse voice. He coyly said, "Then shouldn't you call me 'honey'?"
Willow's face, which was already a little pink, turned completely red. She buried her head in Mitchell's chest. Calling him 'honey' felt a bit embarrassing since she had always called him 'Mitchell.' Calling him 'honey' made her feel a bit awkward.
Mitchell knew Willow was shy and didn't rush her. He patiently waited for her to speak.
Willow hid in his arms for a while, feeling awkward, before slowly raising her head. She didn't look into his deep eyes but rather at a dark spot in the room. Her face was still red, and her small mouth moved slightly before she softly and timidly called out, "Honey."
Though her voice was very low, in the quietness of their first night as a legally married couple, he heard it clearly. Her calling him 'honey' was like a torch igniting him, a catalyst for his emotions, setting Mitchell on fire.
He suddenly flipped over, propping himself up above Willow, and then unexpectedly pressed his lips against hers. It was a long, tender, and lingering kiss.
Willow couldn't match his endurance and almost ran out of breath.
Mitchell released her lips, smiling foolishly at her with a grin.
He then lowered his head again, starting to kiss her from her brows and eyes, kissing with extreme tenderness, as if drops of water could fall from his kisses, moving downward...
Willow's indistinct murmurs made him even more excited. Tonight, she was also unusually proactive. The room's temperature seemed to rise, and the two of them, like two flames, clung to each other, wanting to meld into each other's bones.
In a daze, she heard Mitchell's hoarse voice whispering in her ear, "Honey, I love you."
For a moment, her mind went blank, as if she had reached heaven.
In a daze, she also softly murmured, "I love you too."
Mitchell looked at her cute expression, smiled, and got out of bed to get a warm towel to wipe her body.
In fact, all those subtle and reserved expressions can't compare to a straightforward, passionate and heartwarming 'I love you.'
The wedding date was approaching, and the wedding dress that Madison had designed and had handmade for Willow was ready.
Originally, Rachel had picked it up and left it at the studio for Willow and Mitchell to retrieve themselves.
However, Madison, not feeling at ease, had Rachel bring it home for her to inspect first. So, Rachel picked up the dress from the master tailor and drove straight to Nelson Mansion.
Willow received a call from Madison near the end of her workday, telling her that the main wedding dress had arrived and asking her to go to Nelson Mansion to try it on. So, after work, she dragged Mitchell to Nelson Mansion.
After bringing the wedding dress back, Madison carefully inspected it. She had to admit that the master tailor's craftsmanship was truly impressive.
The stitching was even more delicate and neat than machine stitching, with no visible traces, and it perfectly matched her design sketch.
After Rachel arrived at Nelson Mansion, the two of them went to her second-floor studio, which Matthew had specially set up for her to draw and use the sewing machine.
Now, wherever she went, she had a separate room to work in, whether it was a villa or Nelson Mansion. Even the small house at Springside Villa had a space for her.
This was what she appreciated most about Matthew—his unconditional support for everything she did, including what he considered a trivial hobby. He had never once told her to stop. Perhaps a happy and lasting marriage is like this, giving each other mutual respect and trust.
Rachel put the wedding dress on a mannequin for Madison to check the fit and details. With so many layers, it was more intuitive to see it worn this way, as it was hard to see the effect just by looking at it.
The wedding dress was quite heavy, and Rachel found it tiring to carry it alone for long periods because it had a large skirt and a long train. The outermost layer was made of a sparkly, sequined material, like a river of stars, glittering brightly.
The off-shoulder design showcased beautiful collarbones, and the chest was adorned with hand-sewn diamonds, shining brilliantly. Madison's design inspiration for this part had come from the concept of 'the Milky Way'.
After hanging up the dress, Rachel couldn't help but exclaim, "Oh my God, this is so beautiful. Seeing such a gorgeous wedding dress makes me want to get married."
"If you want to get married, Nicholas will definitely start planning the wedding immediately. When you get married, I'll design one for you too," Madison teased with a smile.
"For a wedding dress designed by you, Madison, I'll definitely wait until after you have the baby and are well-rested before getting married," Rachel said with a smile.
"I can still draw sketches now, don't worry about me," Madison said with a smile, checking the dress while holding her belly.
"I wouldn't dare let you draw sketches now. Mr. Nelson would definitely blacklist me," Rachel said, following Madison closely and protecting her.
Madison's belly was getting bigger, and everyone was being extra cautious.
"He wouldn't dare," Madison said confidently with a smile.
"I don't know if Mr. Nelson would dare, but I can't bear to see you working so hard," Rachel replied sweetly.
Madison smiled warmly at her, feeling a deep sense of happiness.
Willow was about to call Mitchell to tell him about picking up the wedding dress when she saw that Mitchell had messaged her on Facebook while she was on the phone with Madison.
He said he was still in a meeting with Matthew and would be late getting off work, and he told her to eat something to tide her over. He promised to take her out for a nice meal after the meeting.
Willow quickly replied on Facebook, telling Mitchell about going to Nelson Mansion to pick up the wedding dress and asking him to meet her there.
After work, she hurriedly took a cab to the old mansion.
Madison had shown her the design sketch of the wedding dress before, but seeing it in person still filled her with a sense of anticipation.
Which girl didn't dream of a wedding dress?
Some say that while marriage might not be every girl's dream, a wedding dress certainly was.
