Chapter 217 Deciding to go to Pinecrest City together
Matthew came back to the kitchen, carrying a plate of freshly made pizzas.
Mrs. Sterling looked delighted, like a child. She couldn't wait to pick up a pizza and grab a bite. She quickly finished one.
"It's delicious, even better than the ones sold outside." Mrs. Sterling couldn't resist reaching her hand back into the plate, ready to eat another.
Matthew poured her a glass of milk. The pizza was a bit dry, and the milk matched perfectly.
The aroma of the pizzas in the kitchen lured everyone. Quentin and Hannah loved them, often nagging Madison to make them. Today, each of them had two slices. Mrs. Sterling had two, Mr. Sterling had three, and Dorian had five. He still seemed unsatisfied, saying, "Madison, I'll take some with me when I go back."
Madison served the last pizza. "Of course, no problem. Dorian, are you leaving already?" Madison felt a bit reluctant when she heard that Dorian was leaving.
"Next week, I have to go back before I lose my job," Dorian joked.
"So soon! Have you already bought your plane ticket? Mom, Dad, are you going back with Dorian?" Madison bombarded them with a series of questions, feeling excited.
Mr. Sterling quickly reassured her, "Next Saturday, there's still plenty of time." Mrs. Sterling, on the other hand, pouted, looking unhappy. "Darling, I don't want to leave our daughter yet. Let Dorian go back first." Mrs. Sterling didn't want to return to Pinecrest City just yet.
"Mr. Sterling had already told his parents that he and Dorian would be returning home together the following Saturday, and the plane tickets had already been purchased. He didn't want his dear to be unhappy, but he also felt uncomfortable leaving his parents alone at home for too long.
Mrs. Sterling was not unreasonable. She understood that their parents were getting older and that it wasn't suitable for them to be outside for too long. Although she didn't want to leave and separate from their daughter, whom they had just reunited with, she agreed, "Okay."
While Quentin and Hannah were eating pizza, they listened to the adults' conversation. When they heard that they were leaving, Hannah asked with her eyes rolling, "Where are you going?"
Dorian had a bright smile on his face. Unable to resist, he reached out and pinched Hannah's chubby cheeks. "Hannah, we're going home."
"Where is Uncle's home? Isn't it here? Is it far away?" Hannah continued to ask, her big eyes blinking.
"If we take a plane, it'll be quite fast." Dorian had extraordinary patience with Hannah and answered all her questions. He even thought that if he were to get married and have children, he would want to have an adorable girl like Hannah, and of course, a well-behaved and clever boy like Quentin would be great, too. But he first needed to have a daughter.
"Hannah wants to go too." Hannah suddenly announced loudly.
Although she had only spent less than two days with Dorian, the bond of family made them close. Children have the simplest feelings; they like anyone who is kind to them. Feeling the love from Dorian and the Sterling couple, they naturally liked Dorian and the Sterling couple.
As soon as Hannah's voice fell, everyone at the table froze. Mrs. Sterling and Mr. Sterling were naturally ecstatic. Actually, when they were discussing the return date, Mrs. Sterling wanted to ask Madison if she would be willing to go back to Pinecrest City with them to visit home.
However, she hesitated because Madison was already married and didn't want to impose. Now that Hannah had suggested going back together, they were naturally delighted. It would be best if their daughter and son-in-law could come along, but if they didn't have time, letting Quentin and Hannah go with them to play for a few days and see William would also be nice.
Dorian didn't mind whether Madison went back or not. He respected her opinion, as no matter where she lived, she was still his sister, and that wouldn't change. However, their parents and grandfather certainly looked forward to it.
Madison looked at her parents, who were looking at her with expectation on their faces. She turned her head and glanced at Matthew, who gave her a reassuring look. With just one look, she understood. He told her that he will be with her no matter where she goes.
Seeing that no one was speaking, Hannah tilted her head and asked Madison, "Mom, can I go back with Uncle and Aunt?"
Madison turned around, glanced at her parents, and then looked at her daughter. She finally smiled and nodded firmly. "Of course you can."
"That's great, Mom. Quentin wants to go, too." Hannah didn't forget that Quentin also wanted to go together. She hadn't been separated from Quentin since she was young.
"Yes, I'll go with my younger sister," Quentin, sitting next to them, also expressed his willingness to go to Pinecrest City. He wanted to follow his younger sister and take care of her.
Mrs. Sterling became excited upon hearing her daughter's agreement to bring Quentin and Hannah back with them and grabbed Mr. Sterling's arm. "Darling, our daughter said yes, Quentin and Hannah can return with us." Before Mr. Sterling could speak, Madison immediately spoke again: "Dad, Mom, Matthew, and I will also go together."
After Madison finished speaking, she smiled and glanced at Matthew. Matthew also smirked and responded, "Quentin and Hannah's kindergarten will be closed next Saturday. Let's go to Pinecrest City first and then take them to the beach."
Upon hearing their daughter and son-in-law's words, the Sterling couple couldn't speak due to their overwhelming joy. Mrs. Sterling only knew to grab Mr. Sterling's arm, and he nodded repeatedly, saying, "Yes, yes, yes, we'll go back as a family together."
Dorian smiled and raised an eyebrow, looking at Matthew. This guy is all right!
Since they decided to go together, Mrs. Sterling immediately urged Madison to book tickets for the same flight time as them, and she finally felt relieved.
Mr. Sterling immediately announced in the group chat that Madison's family was going to Pinecrest City. The group chat was flooded with hundreds of messages eagerly awaiting Madison's arrival.
