Chapter 368 Notebook

After unpacking all the deliveries, Willow looked up and saw the courtyard filled with things. Mitchell's parents had prepared some collectibles, which looked very expensive. Mitchell's preparations were both expensive and thoughtful, all things that her parents liked. Willow was dazzled by all of this.

Mother Nelson carried a lot of ingredients just bought from the market and was startled when she walked into the courtyard.

"Why are there so many things!"

Mother Nelson looked at the yard full of things and carefully made her way to the door. "Why did you buy so many things?" she asked.

"Mom, these are all gifts prepared by Mitchell and his parents for the meeting. Mitchell said it's inconvenient to bring them on the plane, so he sent them over. I just received the express delivery and found out about all this." Willow was also puzzled by so many things. If she had known that Mitchell was sending so much over, she would have definitely stopped him.

"Where should we put all this?" Mother Nelson quickly took the groceries back into the kitchen, then came out again. Staring at the pile of things in the yard for a while, she called Willow to help organize and put them in their rooms. The attic was originally a storage room, but after it was cleaned up for Mitchell to live in, there was no place to put these things, so they had to temporarily store them in their rooms.

Mother Nelson muttered as she tidied up, "Your dad will be so happy to see so many things he likes." Mitchell's family had prepared a lot of things; it showed that their daughter was valued. Mother Nelson gladly accepted these gifts. Their family was not short of money, and they only had one daughter, so when she got married, the dowry would be returned twofold. These gifts were all tokens of love from the children.

Willow placed her crystal ball on the nightstand, carefully arranging it for a long time, smiling as she looked at it before leaving the room.

Just as Mother Nelson and Willow finished organizing the things in the yard and brought the newly bought ingredients into the yard, the two of them brought out two small stools and sat in the yard to tidy up. At this moment, Mitchell got up, with slightly messy hair, coming down from the attic, and as soon as he stepped outside, he saw Willow sitting in the yard and walked toward her.

Mother Nelson saw him and smiled. "Mitchell, you're up. Why not sleep a little longer? Willow's dad likes to drink when he's in a good mood. I'm sorry he got you drunk right after you got off the plane."

Mitchell sat down on the steps next to Willow, very close to her, with a faint smile on his face. His handsome features softened in the sunlight, and his deep voice captivated her as he said, "Mr. Nelson rarely gets in the mood, and a few more drinks won't hurt." Then he casually picked up the vegetables and started to sort them, his movements natural as if he did it regularly.

Mother Nelson happily watched Mitchell. No wonder Willow had liked Mitchell since she was young; everyone liked him in this way.

Father Nelson seemed to hear the voices outside and also got up, sobering up a bit as the alcohol wore off. Looking at the many things that had appeared in the room and not sure what was going on, he walked out and saw everyone in the yard. "Why are there so many things in the house?" Mother Nelson looked up and said, "They were all gifts from Mitchell and his parents."

"We are family. You shouldn't bring gifts when visiting us; it's a waste of money. Don't do it next time," Father Nelson said sternly, but he was smiling happily.

Mitchell nodded. "Okay, Mr. Nelson, I'll come empty-handed next time."

Though he said so, Mitchell would always bring some gifts for Father Nelson and Mother Nelson every time he followed Willow back to Seaspring Valley City.

Many hands make light work, and all the ingredients were sorted out. Mother Nelson asked the two to rest while she and Father Nelson prepared dinner. Willow took Mitchell back to her room, picked up the crystal ball on the bedside table, and smiled at Mitchell. "Mitchell, when did you prepare this gift?"

Mitchell stood in front of her, his eyes smiling, his lips curled. "Do you like it?"

Willow vigorously nodded. "Yes, I love it."

"Good to hear." Mitchell had it customized two months in advance. The piano piece inside was one he had played and recorded, and he had handcrafted the figurines himself. So, this gift was actually prepared personally by him, and he sent it here to give Willow a surprise.

Willow played with it lovingly, truly surprised and delighted, extremely happy.

Mitchell looked around the room, which was clean and neat; the cartoon bedsheets were very much in line with Willow's preferences. "Did you used to stay here when you came back?"

"Yes, my parents decorated and arranged the room based on how it was in my room in Horizon City, and they even brought all my old stuff here," Willow said happily. It was almost an exact replica of how she used to live in Horizon City.

Mitchell nodded. No wonder it felt familiar to him. When he used to live in the big courtyard, he had been to Willow's room, and it really was exactly the same. Hearing Willow say that all her old stuff had been brought here, Mitchell curiously stood up and looked around the room.

Finally, he stopped in front of the bookshelf, where many books were quite old, probably textbooks from Willow's school days that her parents had kept. Suddenly, Mitchell saw a familiar notebook. He reached out and pulled it out. He remembered having a similar notebook before, with many hand-drawn sketches and designs, but he couldn't find it later. Did Willow also have one?

Seeing the notebook in Mitchell's hand, Willow hurriedly rushed up to snatch it and hid it behind her. She blushed and lowered her head without saying a word. Because her actions were too obvious, Mitchell looked at her with a smile. "What's wrong? Is there something in there that I can't see?"

Willow stepped back. "No..." Her clear denial only amused Mitchell further. He kept smiling at her without any intention of backing off. Willow felt even more embarrassed under his gaze; she held the notebook to her chest and said firmly, "Anyway, you just can't see this notebook, but everything else is fine."

"Alright," Mitchell said with a smile. Although he was quite curious, since Willow treasured it so much, he respected her privacy.

Willow froze in place. In fact, this notebook originally belonged to Mitchell...
