Chapter 299 The Battle Armor Arrives
When Willow returned with two bottles of water, she handed one to Mitchell and kept one for herself. She tried to avoid looking at Mitchell's upper body because every time she did, she couldn't help but blush, her heart racing, and she might even get a nosebleed.
Fortunately, they had already played enough and were planning to return to the hotel to change clothes. They walked toward the hotel, each holding a bottle of mineral water. On the way, Willow received a call about her delivery.
Feeling guilty and nervous, Willow sneakily glanced at Mitchell walking beside her. "Could you... just help me put it at the front desk, thanks." She awkwardly asked the delivery guy to leave the package at the hotel front desk. Just as she hung up the phone, she heard Mitchell's voice, "Who was that?" Willow was so startled that she almost dropped her phone.
"It's the delivery guy. Daniel sent me something. I asked him to leave it at the hotel front desk." Willow replied evasively.
Mitchell furrowed his brow slightly, "Sent something? Is there something you forgot to bring? It's easier to buy it here rather than having it sent over." Mitchell thought Willow had forgotten something and found it inconvenient to have it sent over.
"I... I don't know what it is. Probably some food." Willow explained even more nervously.
Throughout the journey, Mitchell's figure and appearance attracted many glances. Willow noticed several bold girls on the beach openly staring at him. Girls kept looking at him as they left the beach and walked toward the hotel. Willow's mood inexplicably plummeted. She looked down at her own figure, feeling extremely insecure. If Mitchell wasn't interested in someone like Laura with her curves, he definitely wouldn't be interested in her.
She walked with her head down, lost in her thoughts. Puzzled by her sudden change in demeanor, Mitchell hurried to catch up. As they entered the hotel, Mitchell stopped Willow, "Wasn't there a delivery?"
Willow was momentarily stunned, then realized she didn't know what Daniel had sent her, probably something she couldn't show. She nervously went to the front desk to collect the package. Fortunately, it was wrapped in an outer package, hiding its contents. Mitchell saw her coming back with a bag and remarked, "What delicious thing did Daniel send you? It doesn't look like food." Willow hesitated, unable to come up with a reasonable explanation. "I... I don't know. Let's talk about it later when we get back." She then discreetly hid the package behind her. Mitchell observed her actions but didn't expose her, assuming it was a small secret between the girls that he shouldn't know about.
At the room's door, Mitchell asked Willow, "What do you want to eat tonight? Let's change and go together."
"How about seafood noodles? I found a highly rated place online." Willow suggested a simple pasta for the evening after days of indulgence.
"Sure, let's change first." Mitchell was agreeable to whatever Willow proposed, and seafood noodles sounded good.
After Willow entered the room, she was dumbfounded and opened the package Daniel had sent. This was the so-called battle armor Daniel had mentioned.
She took out the two pieces of 'battle armor' Daniel had sent her. One looked like a school uniform, but the skirt was extremely short, hardly resembling normal clothing. The other piece was even more outrageous, made of thin, almost transparent fabric. Looking at them, Willow's face flushed; she could never wear such clothes.
She hastily packed them into her suitcase, her heart pounding in her chest. As she paced back and forth in the room, her phone beeped with a Facebook message from Daniel.
[Willow, have you received the things your sister sent you? Good luck. Tonight will determine everything. Seduce him.]
Willow couldn't help but think of the strange clothes and how they related to Mitchell not wearing a shirt in the afternoon. Her heart started racing again at these odd connections.
[These clothes are really strange. Where did you get them?] Willow replied, puzzled by Daniel's choice of clothing.
[I shamelessly asked for the store address, went to buy them for you overnight, don't disappoint my sincere efforts.] Willow was speechless, wondering who would buy such clothes.
[I really can't wear them, they're too strange.] Willow felt Daniel's plan was simply unworkable.
[Don't waste them. Do you know how much that little fabric costs? It cost me hundreds.] Daniel continued to persuade her.
[What! Why did you spend hundreds on two pieces of fabric? Can they be returned? I'll return them.] Willow was shocked by the unexpected expense.
[They can't be returned. I washed them for you before sending them so that you can wear them with confidence.] Her good friend's actions dumbfounded Willow.
[Oh well, stop worrying about the money, focus on how to win over my brother, and let me know when you have good news.] Willow felt like the clothes in her suitcase were now as hot as a potato.
After changing and tidying up, Mitchell knocked on the door. They went near the hotel to have seafood noodles and returned. On their way back, Willow asked him, "Mitchell, when are we going back to Horizon City?"
"What's wrong? Do you want to go back?" Mitchell asked in return.
"Not really... I just don't want to delay your work." Willow replied.
"It's all good. If you want to go back, we'll go back. We'll play a few more days if you want to play a few more days." Mitchell looked at her indulgently.
"Let's play for two more days then. Tomorrow, I plan to visit a museum that is recommended online. It seems to be quite popular." Willow smiled as she spoke.
"Okay."
After they returned to the hotel, Willow took a shower and paced back and forth in the room, engaged in intense inner struggles. After much contemplation, she took a deep breath, walked to her suitcase, opened it, and took out the school uniform set, then walked into the bathroom.
