Chapter 411 Visiting Madison

Willow slept until four in the afternoon before slowly waking up. The curtains in the room were still tightly drawn, but a dim bedside lamp was on. She sat up, her groggy mind gradually clearing. She looked around but didn't see Mitchell. It seemed like Mitchell had come to call her to eat at some point, but she was too sleepy to respond properly and couldn't open her eyes, so she didn't get up.

Willow lifted the blanket and got out of bed, then put on her slippers and walked out of the room. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Mitchell sitting on the carpet in the living room. There was a laptop on the small table in front of him, and he was wearing headphones, looking serious, seemingly in a meeting. Willow walked over quietly and sat on the small sofa next to him. She saw that Mitchell was indeed in a video conference with three other people, two of whom were foreigners, and Mitchell was speaking English the entire time.

Willow quietly sat on the small sofa beside him, watching him intently. Mitchell looked really charming when he was working seriously. Because he was wearing headphones, Mitchell didn't realize that Willow had woken up. Fortunately, the meeting was almost over. After about ten minutes, Mitchell took off his headphones and exited the video conference. When he turned his head, he saw Willow smiling at him. He was momentarily stunned. Then, his face broke into a doting smile. He stretched out his arms, pulled her into his embrace, and pressed his forehead against hers, asking, "When did you wake up? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Just a little while ago. I saw you were busy," Willow replied shyly, her face slightly flushed. Even though they had done much more intimate things, she still blushed easily.

"Alright, I just had a meeting. Are you hungry?" Mitchell asked.

They sat facing each other, wrapped in each other's arms, enjoying the sweet and warm moment. As soon as Mitchell finished speaking, Willow's stomach growled. They both laughed, and Willow lowered her head in embarrassment. Mitchell picked her up from the carpet and walked towards the dining table.

Willow let out a small scream, wrapping her arms tightly around Mitchell's neck, afraid of falling. Mitchell held her securely, smiling at her with a playful grin.

The food Mitchell had prepared earlier was on the dining table. Willow looked at the dishes. "Mitchell, have you eaten yet?"

Mitchell shook his head. "Not yet. I don't have an appetite eating alone."

"Then you must be starving after a whole day," Willow said, feeling guilty. She had been asleep and didn't feel hungry, but Mitchell had been up early and working.

Mitchell, sensing her thoughts, immediately said, "I'm really not hungry. I had some milk after getting up." He then placed her on a chair. "You sit here for a bit. After we eat, we'll go to Matthew's place to see Madison."

Willow suddenly remembered that she had told Matthew they would visit Madison today, and it was already past four in the afternoon. "I'll call Matthew first. It's so late already," she said, getting up to find her phone.

Mitchell pulled her back to the chair. "Don't worry. I called Matthew this morning and told him we'd come by in the evening."

Hearing this, Willow couldn't help but smile and peck Mitchell on the cheek. "Mitchell, you're so wonderful."

Mitchell affectionately patted her head. "Silly girl."

After finishing their meal, they set off for Madison and Matthew's place at six o'clock sharp. Since Madison got pregnant, their family had moved to Nelson Mansion. William was overjoyed every day, not only because Madison was pregnant again but also because the Nelson Mansion had become much livelier since they moved back. Quentin and Hannah's laughter filled the house daily, and other people often came to visit Madison. There were guests almost every day, and the dining table was always full. William's hearty laughter could be heard frequently.

When Willow and Mitchell arrived at Nelson Mansion, Madison and her family had just finished dinner. Patrick was also there today. When they arrived, Patrick was in the backyard playing with Quentin and Hannah, who were excitedly trying out the skateboards Patrick had brought them as gifts. As soon as dinner was over, the two kids couldn't wait to drag Patrick to the backyard to play.

Matthew and Mitchell were chatting with William in the living room. They were all familiar to William, who treated them like his own family and cared deeply about Mitchell and Willow. When he found out that Mitchell and Willow were together, he repeatedly said "good" and was extremely happy. Not only did he start preparing a wedding gift for Willow, but he also reminded Matthew to prepare one as well. However, Willow was unaware of all this; she didn't know that William and Matthew were already preparing for her marriage.

Patrick had been part of a skateboarding club in college, so he was skilled in various tricks and techniques. The gift he brought for the two kids today had them clapping and cheering non-stop as he taught them how to skateboard. Their eyes were filled with admiration as they exclaimed in unison, "Patrick, you're amazing!"

Patrick was beaming with pride.

Madison led Willow to the backyard to find Patrick and the two kids. As they walked, Willow smiled and asked, "Madison, how are you feeling? Are you uncomfortable? I read online that some people experience severe morning sickness during pregnancy and even need to go to the hospital."

Madison was less than three months pregnant at this point, so her belly wasn't showing yet. However, knowing that Madison was pregnant, Willow felt that she radiated a maternal glow, appearing even more gentle than before. Madison also seemed to have gained a bit of weight.

"It's fine. This baby is much easier than when I was pregnant with Quentin and Hannah. It's truly an angel baby. Maybe it's because it's still early, but I haven't had any morning sickness, and my appetite is great. Valerie's cooking suits me perfectly. I've gained quite a bit of weight since moving here a month ago," Madison said with a smile.

Indeed, being pregnant with one was much easier than being pregnant with two at the same time. When she was pregnant with Quentin and Hannah, she had a poor appetite and even lost some weight in the early stages, along with experiencing morning sickness. Now, with so many people at home taking care of her and Matthew often skipping work to stay home because he was worried, she didn't have to do anything. Sometimes, when she was sitting and watching TV in the evening and got thirsty, Matthew would immediately get up and ask what she needed as soon as she stood up. Madison found it both amusing and exasperating.
