Chapter 371 Climbing the Mountain

Mother Nelson and Father Nelson had already changed into their climbing gear early on, wearing very professional mountaineering outfits, which indicated that the two of them often went climbing. Mother Nelson looked at Willow and Mitchell in their matching outfits and praised generously, "Mitchell's outfit looks good, handsome and refined, just like those students in college."

Mitchell didn't expect Willow to wear white clothes. When he saw Willow standing at the door, he was also stunned. Hearing Mother Nelson's praise, he felt a bit embarrassed. Walking over to Willow, he quietly held her hand, smiled and looked ahead, following behind Father Nelson and Mother Nelson as they walked out the door together.

Willow was still very shy in front of her parents, trying to break free from his hand. Mitchell held on tightly and she couldn't break free. Glancing sideways, Mitchell looked ahead with a smirk, deliberately avoiding eye contact, just not letting go.

Father Nelson and Mother Nelson exercised regularly, so their pace was more agile than Willow and Mitchell's. The two of them quickly climbed ahead, leaving Willow and Mitchell far behind. Mitchell could keep up, but Willow was a bit out of breath. Mitchell slowed down his pace, accompanying her as they slowly climbed up. When they reached the mountaintop, they were half an hour behind Father Nelson and Mother Nelson.

Mitchell took the initiative to attribute the slow climbing to himself. "I don't exercise much; I should learn more from you in the future." Father Nelson and Mother Nelson looked at Mitchell, who wasn't even out of breath, and Willow panting heavily beside him, and smiled knowingly without saying a word. Anyone with keen eyes could tell who lacked exercise.

At the mountaintop, they enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the city. The busy work in Horizon City usually made them forget everything, but standing here, it seemed like they didn't need to think about anything.

There were many people at the top of the mountain, many of whom had come early in the morning to pray. Everyone entered in turn, and Willow and Mitchell also went in to pray. After they finished praying, they both smiled at each other, knowing without words that their prayers were related to each other. After all, wishes lose their power once spoken aloud.

At noon, Father Nelson and Mother Nelson took them to eat nearby. The vegetarian dishes here were exquisitely delicious, which surprised Willow and Mitchell. They ate a lot. Listening to Mother Nelson's introduction, they learned that the vegetarian food here was famous and attracted many visitors.

Climbing the mountain, praying, and eating vegetarian food made the day very fulfilling. In the evening, Mitchell said that Father Nelson had climbed the mountain all day and it was too tiring, so he insisted on cooking. Finally, the kitchen was left to him and Willow. Willow helped with washing the vegetables, and Mitchell displayed all his cooking skills that he had practiced before, intentionally adding some chili peppers following the cooking style of Seaspring Valley City, making a table full of dishes.

When the dishes were ready, the four of them sat at the table. Mitchell nervously handed the utensils to Father Nelson, asking him to taste the first bite. Willow and Mother Nelson both looked expectantly at Father Nelson, waiting for his evaluation, with Willow feeling nervous for Mitchell. Father Nelson picked up a piece of meat, chewed it thoughtfully, paused for a moment, then smiled and nodded. "Not bad. I didn't expect Mitchell to have this skill."

Mitchell breathed a sigh of relief imperceptibly, and Willow relaxed too, smiling at Mitchell as they shared a relieved smile.

The meal was enjoyable, and Father Nelson, in high spirits, brought out the half bottle of wine left over from last time. He and Mitchell drank together. As the wine bottle emptied, Father Nelson drank a bit too much. Mother Nelson helped him back to the room early to rest, leaving Willow and Mitchell at the table.

The wine didn't really make Mitchell drunk, but as he looked at Willow sitting beside him with a radiant smile, her gentle voice sweetly asking, "Mitchell, how are you?" he felt as if he was intoxicated by her smile. Grinning, shaking his head, and nodding, he looked at Willow foolishly.

Willow thought he was a bit tipsy, so she quickly cleaned up the tableware. Originally, she planned to help Mitchell up to the attic, but realizing there was no bathroom there for him to shower, she led him straight to her room. Mitchell didn't say anything, his eyes looking a bit dazed, following Willow to the room and obediently sitting on the bed.

Willow closed the curtains at the window and then turned to ask, "Mitchell, can you go take a shower?" Mitchell hesitated for a moment and nodded. Willow remembered that his change of clothes was in the attic, so she said, "I'll go get your pajamas for you," and then ran up to the attic.

Mitchell's pajamas were neatly folded at the head of the bed, which Willow saw as soon as she entered. After getting the pajamas, she remembered that he needed to change his underwear too. Mitchell's underwear should be in the suitcase.

Opening the suitcase, Willow inexplicably blushed, finding Mitchell's underwear in a bag inside the suitcase. She hurriedly grabbed a pair of black underwear and tucked it into the pajamas, then quickly ran downstairs. Back in her room, she saw Mitchell still sitting on the edge of the bed. Willow walked up to him with the pajamas in her arms and handed them to him. "Mitchell, go take a shower."

Mitchell looked at Willow with eyes that seemed to sparkle like stars, and Willow met his dark gaze, her heart skipping a beat. She nervously handed him the pajamas wrapped with underwear, urging him to go shower quickly.

Mitchell slowly got up from the bed, stumbled for a moment, then sat back down. Willow hurriedly went up to support him, and the two of them fell onto the bed together.

Willow ended up in Mitchell's arms.

The wine her dad brought out had a strong kick, and Mitchell was starting to feel a bit tipsy. Willow, with a red face, hastily propped herself up, anxiously asking, "Mitchell, can you manage to shower by yourself?"
