Chapter 101 Myron's Confession

Despite being 1.8 meters tall, Wilber had a thin build. Spending long hours working in the office without exercising, his physical condition naturally wasn't great.

In contrast, these sturdy men were even more robust, their presence alone overpowering Wilber.

When Holly heard their words, she became even more frightened.

She huddled behind Wilber, desperately trying to shield herself.

"If you don't leave now, I will call the police!"

With a threatening tone, Wilber took out his phone, attempting to call 911.

But before he could dial, one of the sturdy men slapped him hard.

The phone flipped in the air and dropped unceremoniously to the ground.

Then it was stomped on.

The sound of the screen shattering was crystal clear.

Wilber's hand stung painfully.

Yet, he could only helplessly watch as his phone was destroyed, unable to do anything.

In an instant, a thin layer of sweat formed on his back.

The cool summer breeze, mixed with the hot sweat through his thin clothing, generated a chilly sensation and raised goosebumps.

Wilber could only protectively step back with Holly as he looked at the imposing figures, urging him to leave.

Subconsciously, he felt that the best thing to do now was to abandon Holly and leave quickly.

But his reason told him that if he could truly save Holly, he would undoubtedly capture her heart through this ordeal!

"Hehe, I advise you to leave now!"

"Otherwise, my brothers' fists won't show any mercy."

Tears welled up in Holly's beautiful eyes, her petite body trembled in fear. Her sweet and charming voice carried both fear and determination.

"Wilber, you go first, don't worry about me!"

Wilber turned his head, looking at Holly's teary and pitiful appearance, his heart aching terribly.

With a resolute tone, he defended her passionately.

"What nonsense are you talking?"

"How could I possibly leave you alone?"

"I'll hold them off while you run away."

"Leave here and call the police immediately, understand?"

Holly desperately shook her head, sobbing softly.

"No... I can't just watch them attack you like this..."

Wilber portrayed himself as a tender-hearted man.

"There's no time to hesitate anymore, otherwise none of us will escape!"

"As long as you're safe, I don't care even if they beat me to death!"

With those words, he charged towards the big men without looking back.

Roaring angrily.

"Run!"

Caught off guard by his sudden attack, the sturdy men momentarily couldn't react.

Holly quickly ran, agile and decisive, unlike what she had just said.

"You little punk, don't blame us for being impolite!"

The sturdy men glanced at each other, without any mercy, they started to kick and punch Wilber.

In the chaos, someone's foot struck Wilber's stomach.

Causing him to double over in pain.

His body, already feeling unbearable pain, suffered even more severe blows as he fell to the ground, pale from the agony, without any chance to resist or struggle.

In the abandoned alley, the long-neglected street lamp made a buzzing sound, flickering with intermittent light.

Wilber was thrown under the lamplight, and his legs were beaten by someone.

"Brother, that's enough."

"Miss Holly instructed us not to cause any casualties, just teach him a lesson."

The burly man moved his mouth and spat forcefully at Wilber.

Then they left.

As they exited the alley, a luxury car was silently parked there.

The car window rolled down.

Holly was fixing her makeup in the mirror.

She glanced sideways upon hearing the commotion, took out a bag from the passenger seat, and threw it over.

"Thanks, Miss Holly."

Holly smiled warmly.

"You're welcome."

After saying that, she waved her hand, started the car, and drove away.

...

The dim room had no trace of light.

The curtains were drawn, and the windows were tightly closed, creating an airtight enclosure that was suffocating.

Myron pushed open the door.

He frowned.

The light behind him illuminated a hazy path in the room.

Just as he was about to search for the switch on the wall, a cold hand suddenly grabbed his wrist.

The next second, the door slammed shut.

Before Myron could react, he was forcefully pushed against the wall.

He didn't resist at all. The moment he was grabbed, he recognized the familiar fragrance on Luann's body.

Why would this woman suddenly throw herself at him?

In the quiet air, only the sounds of their intertwined breaths could be heard.

Luann's hand supported her against the wall, suppressing her voice, and she asked, "That person in the hotel that night, it was you, right?"

Myron's pupils contracted slightly.

Ten seconds passed.

Finally, Luann heard him softly respond, "Yes."

She asked again.

"What about you?"

"Did you know it was me?"

Myron answered, "Yes."

Luann fell silent, all her words stuck in her throat, not knowing how to continue.

Without waiting for her response, Myron couldn't help but explain, "I've been looking for you."

Luann murmured, "So, you already knew on the day we got married that we had... that kind of relationship?"

"Yes."

Luann continued, "So that's why your attitude towards me suddenly changed, taking me to buy things, giving me a black card, and protecting me?"

Myron pondered for a moment.

"Yes."

Luann was wondering why, since this marriage was insisted upon by the old lady, there were no preparations for anything related to women in the house.

It must have been that Myron was resistant to this matter and did not welcome his wife's arrival.

But on the second day after getting married, with just a few words, the old lady convinced Myron to take her to purchase necessities and even helped her tidy up Wilber and Juliet.

So, it was because of this...

"No violence”

"I was going to tell you, but I just didn't know how to start," Myron said calmly as he firmly grasped the woman's chin in the darkness.

Luann looked up in surprise, but couldn't make out his facial features.
However, she could sense keenly that Myron was looking at her.

"Originally, I planned to find that person and marry her, take responsibility for her," he paused. "I'm sorry, if I had known it was you, I would have definitely arranged a grand wedding for you."

"I apologize for this unexpected marriage."

"But don't worry, I will make it up to you in the future."

As Luann listened, she felt something wasn't right. She took a step back, evading his hand.

"Wait... wait a minute..."

Why did things suddenly become so complicated?

She only wanted to obtain the Curtis family's secrets and then find an excuse to divorce Myron and report back to the family head!

Why did Myron's words at this moment make her feel a little uneasy?

"I don't want to wait anymore."

Myron's hand wrapped around her slim waist, taking control and pressing her against the wall.

With a deep, husky, and magnetic voice, he spoke softly into her ear.

"Mrs. Myron Curtis, how long do you plan to keep pretending?"

"Can't you feel that I've already fallen for you?"
