Chapter 475 Replacing the Spokesperson
The door closed.
Only Elodie and Mira were left in the ward.
Without any warning, Mira started wailing.
Elodie paused as she was about to sit on the bed.
"Why are you crying?" Elodie asked.
Mira wiped her tears, "Elodie, I think Ms. Weaver is so nice, beautiful, and kind."
After a pause, Mira suddenly asked mysteriously, "Elodie, are you also envious of Ms. Weaver?"
Elodie nodded without any hesitation.
Luann had all the qualities every woman wanted, plus a husband who treated her so well, and she was very accomplished herself.
Naturally, Luann was admirable and enviable.
"If you ask me," Mira's expression suddenly became somewhat meaningful. She looked around as if afraid of being overheard, then leaned closer to Elodie, "You should make a move."
A look of confusion flashed across Elodie's cool face.
"Figure it out," Mira said seriously and earnestly, analyzing, "Ms. Weaver has even neglected Sunflower for us. What does that mean?"
Elodie cooperated, "What?"
"It means she already considers us friends." Mira slapped her thigh.
Then she felt the pain and grimaced as she rubbed it.
Elodie asked indifferently, "So what?"
"Since she considers us friends, doesn't that mean she already trusts us and sees us as part of her life?" Mira asked.
The more Elodie listened, the more she felt something was off.
Mira continued to chatter, "So our opportunity has arrived. Strike first, you know?"
Elodie had a stern face and asked, "What exactly are you trying to say?"
Mira enunciated each word, "If you don't pursue Ms. Weaver now, when will you?"
Elodie was puzzled.
Mira patted her hand, looking very concerned.
"Elodie, do you know the best way to admire someone?" Mira asked.
"It's to bring her to your side, make her yours, then you won't have to envy her," Mira commented.
Elodie lay down on the bed, turning her back to her.
Mira walked around to the other side, looking at her seriously and gravely.
"Besides, it's been so many years. You've participated in hundreds of variety shows, movies, and TV dramas, right?"
"Have you ever had any scandals with other male celebrities?"
Elodie said, "I can achieve that level of popularity with my own ability; I don't need to create scandals."
"Alright. Stop hiding it from me." Mira had a look of 'I've seen through everything.'
"I think you clearly like girls."
"This is a heaven-sent opportunity, Elodie, you must cherish it."
Elodie pulled the blanket over her head and shouted, "Get out."
Mira tugged at her, "Oh, Elodie."
"I'll give you three seconds, or I'll call to get a new assistant."
Mira pouted and stomped her foot, "You're just angry because I hit the mark."
Luann returned to Sunflower after taking Elodie to the hospital.
The staff responsible for the shoot hadn't left yet.
They looked at each other, voicing their doubts, "Boss, without a suitable new spokesperson, what about this quarter's promotion? Should we postpone it?"
"No, postponing will cost the company a lot of money. The new product just launched, and we need heavy promotion now. How can we mess up at such a critical time?"
"So what do we do?" Everyone was talking anxiously and worriedly.
Choosing a spokesperson for Sunflower wasn't something done casually.
They often spent a lot of time, sometimes months, to find the right one.
Someone weakly suggested, "Isn't it simple? Just let our boss do it."
As soon as this was said, all eyes focused on Luann.
Luann frowned slightly, "I..."
"Boss, you have the capability! Trust in yourself."
"Yeah, Boss, as the owner of Sunflower, you should step in and help with the endorsement."
"Boss, you don't want to see us without a spokesperson this quarter, do you? That would be too tragic."
Luann sighed helplessly, "You probably had this speech prepared long ago, didn't you?"
"Alright, I'll come in early tomorrow. Prepare everything needed for the shoot. Now, let's call it a day. Everyone go home early."
Seeing Luann agree, everyone was overjoyed.
When she got home, Luann was surprised to find Myron hadn't returned yet.
Adolph was sitting on the couch eating grapes.
Hearing the noise, he glanced at her, "Where's Myron?"
Luann shrugged lightly, indicating she didn't know, either.
Adolph patted the spot next to him.
Luann sat down.
She heard his lowered voice.
"This mission is extraordinary."
"Any slight mistake, and it will fall into someone else's hands."
"Do you understand?" Adolph cooed.
Luann blinked.
Just as she was about to speak, Adolph interrupted her again.
His face was serious, and behind his silver-rimmed glasses were deep eyes.
"This time, the location is a city called Inspira City. We have to leave in a couple of days. Prepare all the necessary documents and materials, and don't be careless." Adolph voiced.
Luann's hand fell on Adolph's shoulder, asking, "Wait, Adolph, what are you talking about? What mission?"
The carefully built atmosphere was instantly broken.
Adolph was stunned.
"Huh? Didn't you see the message I sent you?" Luann exclaimed and took her phone out of her bag.
"It was on silent," Adolph replied.
She hurriedly opened it and saw that an old piece of land in Inspira City was up for bidding.
"So that's it, got it," Luann said confidently.
"Got what? We must be very careful. The person from that company didn't come last time for some unknown reason and voluntarily gave up. But I think he must have some bigger scheme and plan. Otherwise, why would he give up such a big profit? So I think this time, he is determined to win." Adolph reasoned.
Luann nodded, "But I have to shoot for Sunflower these two days, so I might handle it a bit later."
