Chapter 480 She Unfollowed

Emma has been a bit idle these past few days.

There's only one reason.

She stopped being a fan.

The reason was simple. That day, she and Ernest ran into Luann at The Vintage Mirror by chance, and the three of them went to a bar together. During the night, she got drunk and went out to use the restroom, only to accidentally see Ernest cornering Luann.

After sobering up, she thought about it for a long, long time.

Something just didn't feel right.

So she simply stopped being a fan of Ernest, and thus had no shows to follow.

She started playing games every day.

But Alvin was also out of reach.

However, Emma wasn't the least bit panicked. After all, Alvin, afraid of being hunted down by Joshua, had temporarily moved out of his house.

Little did she know, Alvin was suffering somewhere abroad at that very moment.

His left arm felt a bit numb.

Emma turned over.

The bed above was a bit unstable, creaking loudly with every movement.

It was rare to get some rest.

Although Luann had arranged for her to attend a new school, she was still nominally Myron's student. So every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evening, she would rush over to Myron's place during her lunch break to learn some painting techniques.

It was inevitable to be tormented.

With Myron gone, Emma felt a sense of freedom.

A message suddenly popped up on Facebook.

It was from Ernest.

She rolled her eyes and pretended not to see it.

But Ernest sent a lot of messages.

"Are you there?"

"What are you doing?"

"Emma, do you have time?"

"Can we talk?"

"I don't have work these days and really want to take a break. Would you keep me company?"

"Are you taking a nap?"

"I hope I'm not disturbing you?"

If it were any other time, Emma would have been overjoyed and started responding with "It's okay, it's okay."

But now, she typed a string of sharp words.

"If you know I'm napping at this time, why send so many messages? So annoying!"

After that, Emma decisively blocked Ernest.

"Sorry, can we talk later?"

Ernest realized Emma had blocked him and thought to himself, "This isn't good."

Emma let out a long sigh and got out of bed.

A voice sounded in the dorm room: "Emma, are you going to the cafeteria?"

"Finally, someone in our dorm is moving! Can you bring me back a burger?"

"Can I get some pasta?"

Emma froze halfway down the ladder.

"I'm just going to the bathroom."

The other students were a bit disappointed.

As soon as her feet touched the ground, her phone vibrated.

Emma answered with a harsh tone, cursing, "Can you have some decency? I don't want to say certain things out loud, but you force me to make it awkward for everyone? Don't you get it after being blocked?"

The other side was silent.

After venting, Emma felt a bit smug.

Looks like her cursing skills were still top-notch.

See, she had silenced Ernest!

After a while, a clear voice came through.

"Emma, I don't think I've done anything to upset you recently, have I?"

Emma was stunned.

She looked at her phone.

"Oh no! It's you!"

Lionel was even more confused, "So you weren't cursing at me just now?"

"Of course not!" Emma felt a bit melancholic, "It's a long story."

"Why don't you tell me in detail? I'm already at your school. Want to grab a meal together?" Lionel chuckled, his voice gentle.

Emma's feet twitched in surprise.

"What? Why are you at our school?"

Lionel sighed, "Didn't you ask to borrow my study materials last week? We agreed I'd come by today."

Emma slapped her forehead, "Oh right, my bad memory! Wait for me, I'll be right there!"

After hanging up, three heads popped out from the remaining beds.

"Is it that Lionel again?"

Emma nodded, quickly grabbing some clothes from the wardrobe and changing.

"Emma, are you really going to wear that?"

Emma looked at herself in the full-length mirror in the dorm. A hoodie and jeans, perfect.

"Yeah, what's wrong with it? It's not dirty. I just washed it the day before yesterday."

A roommate said, "But you're meeting a guy. Shouldn't you dress up a bit?"

"Exactly, and I feel like you and Lionel are pretty close. He comes to see you every week even though he lives so far away!"

"Hey, Emma, do you think he might have feelings for you?"

Without thinking, Emma responded.

"No way, our relationship is purely platonic. Don't overthink it."

Her roommates were a bit disappointed.

Emma said, "I'll bring you guys something to eat when I get back."

"Okay~"

Leaving the girls' dorm, Emma couldn't help but shiver.

"I think I underdressed."

But time was tight, so Emma didn't dare delay and ran off.

She soon saw Lionel.

He was sitting on a bench under a tree, with many girls 'casually' walking by, trying to catch his attention.

"Have you been waiting long?" As soon as Emma ran over, she heard the girls sigh, as if lamenting that such a handsome guy already had a girlfriend.

Lionel smiled lightly and reached out to tidy her slightly messy hair.

"Not long. What do you want to eat? I'll take you."

Emma thought for a moment.

"Why not eat at school? It's close."

"I remember you don't have classes on Wednesday afternoons, so going a bit farther shouldn't be a problem." Lionel's eyes curved gently.

Emma chuckled.

"I don't have classes, but you do. You need to hurry back after eating, right?"

Lionel nodded slightly, "It's fine. Let's go to that restaurant near the school gate. Don't you love their pizza?"

At the mention of food, Emma's eyes lit up.

"Let's go!"

The two walked side by side. Just as they reached the school gate, they saw a crowd gathered around something.

Emma curiously muttered, "What's going on?"

Before she could finish, a tall, sunny figure emerged from the crowd and spoke under many people's gazes.

"Emma, do you have time? Can we talk?"

Emma froze, looking at Ernest in disbelief.

Oh my god.

Ernest had tracked her down here!

She didn't notice that Lionel's brows furrowed instantly, and he unconsciously took a step forward, blocking half of her body and looking at Ernest with hostility.
