Chapter 379 Facing the Sea
Luann popped open the box and her jaw dropped. "Heart Island? You bought me a freakin' island? And it's in my name?"
Myron just grinned. "You dig it?"
"Are you kidding? This is insane!" Luann's eyes were practically sparkling. "You really went all out, huh?"
This island was super rare and untouched, so it must've cost a bomb. But Myron didn't care. If Luann wanted something, he'd get it for her, even if it meant grabbing a star from the sky.
"So you guys totally set me up!" Luann realized when she spotted the drone.
"Won't happen again." Myron laughed.
Luann pouted, a bit miffed. "So those pics with other chicks were fake?"
"Totally."
"And the perfume?"
"I know you hate that brand, so I doused myself in it before coming back."
Tears glistened in Luann's eyes. "Myron, you really know how to pull off a stunt. Go think about what you did."
Myron knew she wasn't really mad. He gently took her hand, his rough fingers intertwining with her delicate ones. "Alright."
They wandered through a sea of lavender, the scent hanging in the air.
"This place shouldn't be able to grow lavender, right?" Luann bent down and saw the trick. The lavender was in pots, not planted in the ground. This must've taken forever to set up.
Since the last proposal flopped, Myron had been planning this. He even skipped Fashion Week to haul the lavender here.
Holly had mentioned Luann loved lavender. When she was little, Williams had planted a ton in their garden for her.
With rose petals underfoot and endless lavender around, Luann wished she could snap some pics.
"If I'd known it was a proposal, I'd have dressed up more!" Luann looked at her plain white shirt and black pants, feeling a bit like crying.
At least a long dress would make her feel more like an angel.
Myron gently fixed her wind-blown hair. "If you want, we can come back tomorrow for pictures."
Luann nodded excitedly but then asked, "Are we staying here until tomorrow? I didn't bring any clothes."
Myron just smiled.
They walked a bit more and found a huge estate with a five-story villa.
"Huh? Why is there a house?"
Lush bamboo formed a natural roof, creating a cozy, hidden spot.
Walking inside, the coolness was a refreshing change.
A winding path led to a babbling brook with colorful fish swimming freely. Artificial rocks nestled quietly, with clear water flowing down. Tall trees provided shade, making the red pavilion a cool spot during the day. Soft lights every few feet added to the serene vibe, making it feel like an escape from the city's hustle.
Inside the villa, the black marble floor was spotless, and luxurious crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, giving the place an elegant feel. The house was fully decked out.
Luann quickly took the elevator to the fifth floor and stepped out onto the balcony. The view of the lavender sea was perfect, and the night waves roared in the distance.
"So beautiful!" Luann felt a warmth on her shoulder.
Myron came up behind her, draping a thin blanket over her and planting a kiss on her hair. Seeing her delight, he was over the moon. He had poured so much effort into this island, designing every detail himself.
Luann turned and hugged Myron. His warm embrace gave her a sense of security. She looked up, her hair flowing down her back.
He held her gently, and they stood there, the most beautiful scene in the world.
"Myron, thank you." Luann stood on tiptoe and kissed him.
This kiss unleashed all of Myron's love. To surprise her, he had restrained himself the day before, barely speaking to her and coming home late. Now, he didn't have to hold back. He pressed her against the wall, cradling her head.
The kiss deepened, and the atmosphere heated up. Luann gently pushed him away, whispering, "Let's go inside, not here."
Myron's Adam's apple bobbed, and he scooped her up, carrying her to the nearest room. He tossed her onto the bed.
"Why is this a waterbed?" Luann's panicked shout was cut off.
A tall figure loomed over her, and the scent of male hormones overwhelmed her. The bedside lamp fell, flickering before going out.
Moonlight streamed through the window, illuminating Luann's flawless face. A light sweat appeared on her forehead, and Myron wiped it away.
Their deep love felt like a leaf drifting on water. The night was still young.
