After leaving the karaoke bar, Myron lined up to buy milk tea for Luann.
Luann sat on the corner sofa, watching him approach.
"Try it."
"Their new product."
Myron stuck the paper straw into it and handed it to Luann's lips.
Luann took a sip, and her eyes brightened.
"It's delicious."
"Do you want to try?" Myron nodded, "Okay."
Naturally, he took the milk tea that Luann had just drunk and shared the same straw without any disgust.
"It's really good."
Leaning against the back of the chair, Luann lazily said, "It's almost autumn, I have to take this opportunity to eat more ice cream."
Myron immediately understood and got up.
"I'll buy it for you."
"It has to be matcha flavor!" Luann added happily.
Myron smiled gently and casually touched her hair.
Luann was extremely happy when she tasted the ice cream cone, her eyes bent like apricot kernels. "Where shall we go later?"
Myron lowered his head and checked the nearest movie tickets on his phone, "What genre of movie do you want to watch?"
"Something scary."
Myron's hand paused.
"Then we can only watch the midnight show. It starts at 11 o'clock."
"It's only five o'clock now."
Luann said slowly, "Then what should we do now? We can't just sit here all day."
"We can have dinner later. There's a bookstore nearby, we can go there. We can look at books and then go to a pet cafe to take some photos for you."
Luann decisively nodded, "Sounds good."
Myron let out a barely noticeable sigh of relief.
Luckily, he had done some research early in the morning, checking where girls liked to go and what they liked to do.
Otherwise, Myron would truly have been clueless about Luann's questions.
Putting away his phone, Myron looked up and gazed at her without blinking.
Luann was eating ice cream and asked, puzzled, "What's wrong? Do you want some too?"
In the depths of her pupils, Myron's outstretched hand reflected.
Gently, he wiped away the ice cream at the corner of her lips with his fingertips, then took it and lightly licked it.
"Very sweet."
Luann's face turned red and she glanced around anxiously before biting her lip and saying, "Can you be more discreet outside?"
"Are you saying that we can be carefree once we get home?" Myron asked with a low, magnetic voice, chuckling.
"No, no, not at all," Luann stuffed the remaining ice cream cone into his hand, stood up in frustration, and walked away with her milk tea. "I won't argue with you, I can't win."
Myron hurried to catch up.
While they were in the bookstore, Myron bought movie tickets and showed Luann the trailer.
"Will you be scared?" Luann asked, looking up after watching it.
Myron raised an eyebrow and asked, "What?"
"Horror movies."
"No, I won't," Myron said, pausing for a moment. "And I haven't seen one before."
Luann tilted her head as if she had discovered a new world, and a mischievous light slowly flickered in her eyes.
"If you haven't seen one, then today you might need to refresh your understanding of movies."
Myron furrowed his brow slightly, indifferent. "It's nothing but fake stuff that fools kids and plays tricks."
Luann laughed, "Don't speak too soon."
Myron stood there, his figure outstanding and tall, like a pine or cypress that could not be defeated by anything.
Luann hummed softly in her throat, casually took a history book from the bookshelf, and sat down at a nearby table to leisurely read it.
Myron silently took two steps back and messaged Eddy.
[Have you seen horror movies before?]
Eddy quickly replied, [Of course, they're great for getting close to girls!]
Myron was extremely puzzled, [What do you mean?]
[Are you kidding, sir? Did you time travel from the 1960s? Horror movies are so scary, that girls will definitely shiver, scream, and cling to you!]
Eddy crossed his legs, seeming to have realized something.
[Are you and Luann going to watch a horror movie?]
Myron: [Ok.]
Eddy suddenly became interested and sat up straight.
[This is a great opportunity to enhance your relationship as a couple. I suggest you book a private screening, so it'll only be the two of you, which will create a more terrifying atmosphere.]
[Luann looks delicate and weak, she'll definitely be scared by the horror scenes.]
[Show her your masculinity, it might make her fall for you even more!]
Myron glanced at Luann.
He nodded thoughtfully.
Indeed.
A fragile girl like her surely didn't have a strong capacity to handle it.
Myron continued to book movie tickets.
It was originally a midnight show and there were not many people watching.
Myron quickly bought all the seats and nodded in reassurance.
He felt inexplicably excited.
Luann lowered her eyebrows and her loose ponytail fell gently on her back, giving her a gentle and mild appearance.
Her slender fingers occasionally flipped a page, making a slight rustling sound.
Myron walked to her side and sat down.
Eddy put away his phone and looked to be in a good mood as he glanced around.
He looked at the woman in the kitchen, busy arranging the takeout, and couldn't help but ask, "Holly, do you want to watch a movie later?"
Holly peeked her head out from the kitchen, "A movie? What movie? Is it a horror film?"
Her words pleased Eddy, and he nodded.
"Yeah, do you like watching too?"
"I love it!"
Eddy raised an eyebrow and couldn't wait to finish his meal. He sat on the sofa with Holly, which was covered with a new sofa cover.
They pulled up all the curtains in the house.
Only the faint light emitted from the TV screen.
Holly pulled out a large box of snacks from under the coffee table, as well as a popcorn bucket that was almost as tall as her.
Eddy was stunned.
"What's this?"
"Popcorn."
"I know it's popcorn, but why is it so big? Can we finish eating it?"
"Don't underestimate my stomach."
Holly obediently sat on the sofa, hugged a pillow, and looked excited.
"Have you found one?"
Eddy nodded.
He selected one.
Holly looked disappointed, "Huh, what's so interesting about this? It's not scary at all."
Eddy was taken aback, "Have you seen this before?"
"Yeah, this one is really boring. Don't watch it, the person who watches it will doubt their own intelligence." Holly snatched the remote control from Eddy's hands.
While feeling insulted, Eddy had a bad premonition.
He had watched this film three or four times, and each time it gave him quite a scare.
But from Holly's tone, it seemed like she wasn't afraid at all.
