Chapter 284 Myron's Grievance

Myron and Eddy chatted about company matters in the room for a while.
Eddy said he was hungry.
Myron had yet to eat since he left home.
He asked, "What's on the menu today?"
Eddy chuckled and said, "It's past dinner time; my chef at home has finished work."
"Let's go out for a meal."
Myron glanced at his balance silently. "What do you want to eat?"
Eddy looked at him in surprise when he heard the question.
Eddy sneered. "You're showing some humanity today, actually asking me."
"Isn't it always the same place?"
Myron remained composed.
"At least we're brothers." Eddy chuckled and put his arm around Myron, who shrugged him off without hesitation.
Myron asked, "Are you sure we're brothers?"
Eddy complained, "No shoulder or hug?"
"How about going out for grilled meat!" Myron changed the subject.
This one should be cheap.
"You are not my brother. Who are you?" Eddy teased.
"Myron will never say go out to eat grilled meat!"
"Didn't you say it was not clean?"
Eddy has known Myron for so many years. When had he ever set foot in such a place? He only saw the guy going in and out of fancy places or high-end restaurants.
Myron couldn't possibly tell him it was to save money.
He replied, "We shouldn't discriminate against any kind of food."
Eddy patted his shoulder and sighed. "It is not easy for you to say such a word. You have finally grown up; I know a great grilled meat place. Let go!"
"Okay." Myron nodded.
Eddy drove and quickly brought Myron to the location.
There were only a few people, and the environment was quite clean, with people constantly cleaning and wiping tables.
Even Myron, who was meticulous, couldn't find much to criticize.
Eddy took out two napkins and wiped the chairs in circles. Then he said, "Sit."
Myron sat down.
"You're rarely willing to eat grilled meat, but it looks like I'm going to have a good meal today." Eddy held the menu in one hand and a pen in the other, jotting down notes on paper.
"Let's start with fifty skewers of grilled meat, one plate..."
Myron saw that the price for the grilled meat was three dollars.
If they continued like this, Eddy could easily spend all of Myron's living expenses for eight days in one meal.
Myron couldn't help but say, "Order less."
"Why?" Eddy asked wonderingly.
"It's too late; it's not good to eat too much." Myron paused. "And I'm not that hungry either." However, his stomach was already growling.
Eddy didn't doubt his words, nor did he think about being stingy.
After all, in his mind, they were not short of money.
"If you're not hungry, then don't eat later; I can finish those dishes myself."
Myron felt like he had dug himself into a hole.
Eddy added two bottles of beer.
"You're driving." Myron reminded him.
"Aren't you not hungry? If you're not eating, sit and drink some water on the side. You can drive back later." Eddy said nonchalantly, pouring himself a glass and taking a sip before Myron could object.
Myron looked down in silence, feeling a bit aggrieved.
He was really having a hard time.
The grilled meat soon arrived, glistening with oil and emitting a tantalizing aroma.
Eddy picked up a skewer decisively and started eating.
"Delicious!"
"Flavorful!"
"Do you want to try one?" Eddy advised.
Myron reluctantly picked up a piece.
The next moment, his eyes lit up.
Eddy asked, "How is it? Delicious, right?"
"But you're not hungry, so eat less to avoid feeling uncomfortable later." Eddy said as he discreetly moved the grilled meat closer to himself.
During this meal, Myron felt extremely frustrated.
Not only could he only watch and not eat, but he also had to help with the bill.
The more Myron thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt, deliberately delaying a bit when paying the bill.
He patted his empty pockets and furrowed his brow.
"I forgot my wallet."
Eddy took a final sip of beer. "Use your phone to pay."
Myron pretended to check. "My phone is out of battery."
Eddy pulled out a small mobile power from his pocket. "Here, charge your phone."
"I haven't eaten anything; why should I pay?" Myron protested.
Eddy paused for a moment, slightly surprised by his reaction.
"Come on, it's only two hundred dollars, not even as expensive as a piece of fabric on your shirt."
Myron reluctantly paid the bill.
As they got into the car, Eddy tried to open the door but found it stuck.
"Hey, let me in." Eddy shouted.
Myron said coldly, "Take a cab back yourself."
"Myron, are you okay today?" Eddy asked.
Myron's face turned cold. "Don't come looking for me these days, and don't call me."
"Why?" Eddy was puzzled.
Myron retorted, "I can't stand seeing you!"
After saying that, Myron stepped on the gas and sped away.
Eddy took a few steps back, his face filled with confusion. He murmured, "Myron, what's with the mystery?"
Angry and frustrated, Myron slammed the car door and tossed the keys to John.
John looked at his angry figure, puzzled.
It had been a long time since Myron had been this angry.
John thought, 'What had happened?'
As he entered the house, he saw Luann sitting on the sofa, watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn.
His anger dissipated, and the inner grievance was magnified countless times. Myron sat next to her and hugged her tightly.
Luann sniffed lightly. She asked, "Went out for grilled meat?"
"Didn't get to eat," Myron said gloomily, resting his face on Luann's shoulder.
Luann's lips curved slightly. "Went to smell it?"
Just as Myron was about to suppress his anger, it surged again as he recounted Eddy's behavior.
Myron said firmly, "I'm going to end my friendship with Eddy."
Luann sat up straight, looking at him.
"Why?"
Myron recounted everything that had just happened, venting his frustrations.
His sharp eyes softened slightly, whether from anger or grievance, and his messy hair at the front lifted slightly from resting on her shoulder.
This version of Myron looked particularly adorable.
At first, Luann could barely contain her amusement, but by the end, she burst into laughter.
Seeing her laughing like that, Myron's expression darkened.
He muttered, "I'm upset, and you find it amusing?"
"No." Luann suppressed her smile, but the corners of her mouth couldn't stay down. "I remember I left you tens of thousands; how could I leave you with only a thousand?"
Myron's pupils contracted slightly.
"But there was only one thousand..."
Luann reminded, "Do you only have Apple Pay? What about your credit card?"
Myron hurriedly checked.
"There really is..."
Luann couldn't stop laughing.
"Myron, you're so cute, you crack me up. Haha!"
"Stop laughing!"
"I can't help it!"
The laughter abruptly ceased.
Kissed by Myron's cool lips, not a sound escaped.
