Chapter 321 Never Remarry
The sudden surprise made Vito beam with joy.
"Good! That's my granddaughter-in-law!"
Randy couldn't take his eyes off Luann, eagerly awaiting her response as if he expected a reward.
A new painting meant it was the only one in the world!
Such an honor would make others green with envy, scheming on how to sneak into the Curtis family and steal the artwork!
"Do I get one too?"
Luann blinked innocently, her eyes clear as rippling water, bright as the stars in the sky.
"Mr. Torres, I might not have that much energy."
"And I paint rather slowly."
Randy, though disappointed, understood.
"I get it. Artists like you might spend months racking your brains for an idea and then months more painting it."
Vito stifled a laugh, coughing lightly.
He had watched the entire live broadcast.
"In front of Luann, that was not an issue at all!"He muttered.
Luann smiled, her eyes curving, "Yes."
Diana, who had been silent, seemed to have reached her limit. She stood up, grabbed her bag, and said hurriedly, "Dad, I won't stay for dinner. I'm leaving now."
Watson's expression was somewhat conflicted but quickly returned to calm.
"Dad, there's still some work at the company I need to handle, so I won't stay either. Enjoy your meal."
"Oh, Myron, Luann, I'll bring your congratulatory gift in a few days."
Luann waved at him.
Once outside, Watson hurriedly chased after Diana.
But when Watson grabbed Diana's arm, she shook him off forcefully.
He grabbed her again, only to be shaken off once more.
"Diana! How long are you going to keep this up!"
Diana looked at him deeply, her eyes full of disgust.
Watson took a deep breath, calming himself.
"Can we both calm down? Let's talk in the car, okay?"
Diana's tone was resolute and cold. "I have nothing to talk about with you."
"Diana!" Watson gritted his teeth, "We're at the Curtis family. Don't make me cause a scene!"
"Watson, do you have any decency? I've been with you for so many years, and I never knew you were this kind of person," Diana said, striding forward.
Diana's high heels clicked crisply on the stone steps.
Watson hurried to catch up, circling around Diana, saying,"Listen to me, let me explain."
"I have my reasons too!"
Diana let out a cold laugh, "Reasons? Your reasons are probably for that unborn child of yours, right? You really are thoughtful."
Watson covered her mouth with his hand, looking around.
"What are you doing! We're already divorced. Do you have to ruin me completely to be satisfied!"
'If others found out about this, his plans would be completely ruined!'
Diana bit his hand.
"Ah! Lunatic!" Watson raised his hand in pain.
Diana lifted her chin without hesitation with indifferent gaze .
"Hit me! If you have the guts, hit me in the face!"
Watson's features twitched slightly, clearly furious to the extreme.
He flung his hand forcefully, got in the car, and drove off.
The car sped down the road, nearly causing an accident.
When Watson arrived, he used his fingerprint to open the door but found it wouldn't open, so he rang the doorbell and knocked it.
After about ten minutes, the door finally opened.
A woman with a protruding belly, disheveled hair, rosy cheeks, and clad in a nightgown, emerged, breathing unevenly.
"Changed the password?"
"No, I locked it from the inside. Why did it take so long to open the door?" Watson pushed his way in, glancing around the tidy living room.
The woman had a fleeting look of panic on her face, but she hid it well.
"I was sleeping, and you know how restless your son can be! I can't sleep well."
"I finally managed to doze off, and then you came knocking and woke me up."
She playfully rolled her eyes at Watson.
Watson sighed deeply and pulled her onto the sofa.
"I'm sorry."
The woman said, "Didn't you say Vito called you all back? How come you're out so soon? It's been less than an hour, right? And you didn't tell me you were coming over to stay tonight, so I didn't have the maid prepare dinner for you."
"I decided to come over at the last minute," Watson paused, "You know about Myron's situation, right?"
The woman snorted.
"Of course, with all the commotion he and his wife caused, I can see it on any electronic device like phone, TV and computer. This afternoon, I even saw it playing on the big screen outside the mall." Her tone was tinged with jealousy.
Watson felt a tinge of melancholy and said, "I didn't anticipate things turning out this way."
The woman pouted, "So what are you going to do about it?"
Watson hesitated, "I don't know."
The woman pushed him away, "What do you mean ? Are you planning to remarry Diana and let Myron back into the company?"
"Watson, let me tell you, if you dare do that, I'll get an abortion with our son tomorrow, whether you believe it or not!"
Watson quickly tried to soothe her, "No, baby, don't get so worked up!"
"If I wanted to remarry her, would I be here right now?"
The woman snorted.
Watson sighed, "I came here because I wanted you to comfort me, not to blame me."
The woman pouted, "I'm just too anxious and you know how much I've suffered for you."
Watson rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on.
His affair with this woman started because Myron was no longer useful and couldn't bring him any benefits within the Curtis family.
So he thought of having another child, hoping to get a share of Vito's inheritance.
But now, Myron had become successful again and he had divorced Diana.
If Myron returned to the company, with his intelligence, he might win Vito's favor and get most of the inheritance.
'What would happen to his unborn child then?'
All his carefully laid plans would be in vain.
That was why Watson had opposed Diana's suggestion to let Myron return to the company.
"Alright, don't worry too much," the woman said, wrapping her arm around Watson's, "Our son and I would always be with you.So don't worry."
"Okay."
Watson shook his head, not wanting to think about these troubling matters anymore.
He touched the woman's rounded belly and couldn't help but tease, "You said our son keeps you up every night?"
"Yes."
"That little rascal, let me teach him a lesson!"
The woman quickly pressed her hand against his chest and said, "I can't have sex with you now, because I need to be careful not to hurt the baby."
"It's okay because I'll be gentle."
With that, Watson picked her up and headed upstairs.
But before they reached the bedroom, the woman said urgently, "Let's go to the room next door."
"Why?"
Her eyes darted, "It's boring to be in the same place every day. I want something new."
"You're quite the playful one."
Shortly after they entered the room next door, the master bedroom door quietly opened from the inside.
A man, wearing only his underwear, slipped away.
