Chapter 438 Amicable Breakup

Juliet raised an eyebrow, totally unfazed by Wilber's threats. She even smirked, "What are you gonna do? Divorce me?"

Wilber was trembling with panic.

The guy laughed out loud. "Does he even dare to divorce? If he does, no woman would ever marry him."

"Shut up!" Wilber grabbed a brick and went berserk, smashing it at the guy. Even after knocking him out, he kept hitting him a few more times, careful not to cause any fatal injuries.

Juliet suddenly stood up and tried to stop him. "Are you out of your mind? Do you have to ruin my future to feel better?"

Wilber sneered as he forcefully grabbed Juliet's hand, his nails digging into her like sharp blades, causing her face to turn pale with pain.

He begged frantically, "Juliet, I forgive you. Leave the entertainment industry, okay? Let's go back to a simple life like before. You don't need to do anything, just enjoy yourself every day. I'll do whatever you want, okay?"

Juliet yanked her hand away. "Wilber, you maniac! Let go!"

Wilber growled, "I'm not letting go. I've already forgiven you. Why can't you just settle down? Juliet, if you push me, I'll make sure you get nothing. Cheating during marriage and still want to run away with the money? Even if you sell the 30% shares, it's still marital property. You have to give it back to me."

A drop of sweat rolled down Wilber's forehead. Juliet stared at him for a long time, then suddenly let out a low laugh. "Cheating? No, this is just an amicable breakup."

Wilber stood there, dumbfounded. He didn't get what she was saying.

Juliet spoke slowly and clearly, "You didn't really think I'd stay with you, did you? There are so many amazing stars and powerful men in the entertainment industry. Why would I choose to be with you in my prime? That's not happening."

She laughed. It was a familiar expression to Wilber, but now it was full of mockery.

Wilber asked, "You're lying to me, right? We signed a marriage agreement, how could..."

"The marriage agreement is fake," Juliet interrupted him, "I had someone print it out casually, it has no legal effect at all."

It was like something exploded in Wilber's head. All his thoughts and rationality were blown away. There was a brief ringing in his ears, accompanied by Juliet's words.

She continued, "How can this 30% share be considered marital property? Micah willingly transferred it to me, so it's naturally mine alone."

Wilber's mouth hung open, his body swaying, even the hand holding Juliet loosened. "You weren't like this before."

Hearing Wilber's words, Juliet looked disgusted. "How dare you bring up the past? I turned out like this because of you. Since we're here, I might as well spill it all. I was with you because you were rich and easy to fool. I seduced you without breaking a sweat. Wanna know why? My mom told me the company was short on funds, and my dad might send me to the Curtis family to get some cash to keep the business afloat. Myron is violent and ugly, and there was no way I was marrying him. You were my ticket out."

Wilber was just a pawn in Juliet's game to avoid marrying Myron.

"I thought marrying you wouldn't be so bad, no worries about living. But I didn't expect you to still have feelings for Luann. Did you really think I was so broad-minded? Broad-minded enough to forget everything you said to me and keep living with you like nothing happened? Wilber, you brought this on yourself. You can't blame anyone else. You deserve to have no kids in this life." Juliet got more and more agitated, her face flushed with anger, her voice growing more intense.

Wilber muttered, "Kids." That was his last hope.

"Speaking of kids, let me kindly tell you one more thing." Juliet tidied her messy hair, keeping her ladylike image, "I already aborted that child. I didn't want to, but I couldn't be sure if the kid was yours. So it was better to make it disappear. Do you think I did the right thing, Wilber?"

Wilber roared, all his rationality shattered in that instant. He remembered how happy he was when he found out Juliet was pregnant and how he took care of her.

Wilber grabbed Juliet's collar and slapped her face repeatedly. With each slap, he cursed viciously. "You are such a bitch. How can you be so cruel?"

Juliet's mouth bled from the beating, but she still laughed.

Wilber kicked her to the ground, viciously kicking and hitting her. Each blow was without mercy. He realized Luann was right; Juliet never had any genuine feelings for him from the start.

He stood up, looking at her lying on the ground, beaten black and blue, barely alive, and gritted his teeth. "Juliet, I won't let you have it easy. I'll make sure you can't survive in the entertainment industry and completely ruin your reputation!"

Juliet wasn't worried at all because she was sure Wilber couldn't provide any evidence. So she dared to tell him everything so recklessly. No matter what he said, he couldn't stir up any trouble.

Wilber didn't want to stay in the villa for another second. He rushed out, taking deep breaths of fresh air. He decided to take back everything Juliet took from him.
