Chapter 466 Adolph
Hearing these highly suggestive words, Luann blushed, then glanced unintentionally at Elodie and Mira.
Fortunately, neither of them thought much of it and didn't catch the deeper meaning in Myron's words.
Luann cleared her throat.
"Do you two want to take a break? We started pretty early." Luann cleared her throat, saying.
When Mira was about to speak, Elodie beat her to it. "Used to getting up early, not tired. You guys rest." Elodie replied.
Luann nodded and decided to sleep first and get up at noon to let Elodie rest.
Mira swallowed the words she almost blurted out. She took a small mirror from her bag and looked at the faint dark circles under her eyes.
Actually, Mire and Elodie had just finished shooting a night scene last night, which ended at four in the morning.
By the time they got home, it was already five. After a shower and breakfast, it was about time. Actually, they hadn't slept all night. It was a routine for them.
Elodie might look glamorous and famous on the surface. But behind the scenes, she also put in a bit more effort than the average person.
Mira quietly watched Myron bustling around, covering Luann with a blanket, pouring water, and preparing many of her favorite snacks.
He adjusted the air conditioning to the perfect temperature, making sure the airflow didn't blow directly on Luann.
Mira sighed inwardly,' Elodie is right. Myron's tenderness was reserved only for Luann.
Luann slept until eleven and she woke up feeling refreshed.
Myron heard the movement and looked up from his magazine. The air was unusually quiet. Luann sat up awkwardly.
"Actually, I sleep pretty soundly. You don't have to be so reserved." Luann embarrassed.
Elodie waved the schedule in her hand, "A bit of peace and quiet is nice." She didn't like noisy chatter; it was a bit annoying.
Luann scratched her head, a bit embarrassed. Myron walked over, sat on the edge of the bed, and gently gathered her hair into a soft low ponytail with his long, slender fingers.
Mira exclaimed, "Oh my God, Mr. Curtis, you're so meticulous. Anyone would think this was a scene from a romance drama."
'Is this what other people's boyfriends are like?' Mira was full of envy.
Myron picked up the water that had been kept warm in a thermos and brought it to Luann's lips."It's still not good enough." He said softly
He always felt he should be even more attentive and better to Luann.
"Let's get ready for lunch," Myron didn't dwell on the topic.
After lunch, Luann voluntarily gave up her spot for Elodie to rest.
This time, Elodie didn't hesitate and lay down to sleep immediately. Luann curled up in a reclined chair, happily watching a show.
"Your phone is ringing," Myron handed her the phone.
Luann opened it to see a bunch of messages from Alvin:
[Oh, My alarm didn't go off. It didn't go off.]
[I specifically set a six o'clock alarm last night.]
[Luann, can I still make it if I come now?]
[Why aren't you replying, Luann?]
The messages were from ten o'clock. Due to the occasional lack of signal at high altitudes, there was a delay in receiving them.
Luann sighed and replied: [Come by yourself later. I'll send you the address then.]
Alvin replied instantly: [Luann, you finally responded! Okay!]
The private jet traveled at a swifter pace. Upon their arrival in Unionia, Luann proposed, "Let's crash on my residence. I possess a domicile."
She knew that if they stayed at Myron's place. By the time they left, everything in the house would either be moved out or sprayed with disinfectant.
After all, Myron was somewhat of a fastidious cleanliness aficionado.
On the plane, he hadn't touched anything Elodie and Mira had handled.
When they got off the plane, Myron said a few words to the pilot.
"Alright, thanks," Elodie said.
Two cars drove to a secluded area. Luann's villa was nestled halfway up a hill, very quiet, though getting supplies might be a bit inconvenient.
They soon arrived home.
Luann entered her fingerprint.
"Hmm? Why won't it open?" Luann confused.
The fingerprint was correct, yet the door remained shut.
As Luann kept trying, a lock clicked from inside.
Then the door opened. Before Luann could see clearly, she was enveloped in a hug.
"My dear Luann, I missed you so much," Adolph said. Adolph had just embraced Luann's tender form. Before he could feel her warmth, someone grabbed him by the back of the neck and pulled him back.
Adolph was displeased.
"You must be Myron, right?" Adolph voiced
"Can you be a bit more polite? After all, I'm your brother-in-law." Adolph continued.
Myron's face was cold. It was a marvel that he hadn't assaulted Adolph.
"Luann, what manner of man have you found? He regards me as if I am indebted to him."
"Your taste is off."
"How about I call a few guys over for you to choose from?" Adolph chattered.
As Adolph said this, he glanced at Myron, seemingly on purpose to provoke him.
Luann intervened and said, "Adolph, can we come in first?"
Adolph stepped aside. As Myron walked past, he subtly bumped Adolph's ribs, making him wince.
In the living room, Elodie took a quick look at the decor, finding it fresh, clean, and particularly cozy.
She extended her hand to Adolph, "Hello."
Adolph adjusted his silver-rimmed glasses, his gaze lingering on Elodie's face.
Mira was a bit annoyed and thought, 'Can it be that Luann's handsome brother is actually a pervert?'
'Even if Elodie was beautiful, he didn't need to stare so blatantly, right?' Mira pondered.
As Mira was prepared to say something, Adolph spoke with purpose, "Haven't been resting well lately? You appear rather unwell. Take a couple of days to catch up on sleep and recuperate. Otherwise, you might collapse."
The dark circles that makeup couldn't hide, and the bloodshot eyes.
Mira immediately retorted, defending Elodie, "Excuse me, Sir, it is quite discourteous to utter such an ominous remark without any preamble."
