Chapter 248 Temporary Creation
Lily shook her head.
Seeing this, Grace's heart sank to the bottom of the abyss.
A deep sense of unwillingness emerged.
Why?
She was Vito Curtis's granddaughter, yet he treated her so cruelly and ignored Wilber?
"If this happened to Luann, Grandpa would definitely be angry!"
Grace gritted her teeth and growled, tears streaming down her eyes.
"My dear daughter, your grandfather is also in a difficult position with this matter. Moreover, if we dwell on it, it was you who made the first move," Lily said calmly, understanding why Vito Curtis didn't deal with Wilber.
"But mom!... He... He did that kind of thing with me!" Grace widened her eyes in disbelief, unable to understand why even her own mother was siding with an outsider.
Lily reached out and gently pressed Grace's temples.
"Mom knows."
"Let's... let's just treat it as... being bitten by a dog."
Disappointment filled Grace's eyes even more.
"What do you mean?
"You're not on my side anymore?"
Lily quickly said, "Mom just thinks that if this matter gets bigger, it won't be good for your future..."
"Future? Is my future more important to you than me as a person?" Grace said with annoyance, finishing her sentence and trying to get out of bed.
"You have a needle in your hand, don't move!" Lily exclaimed in surprise.
Grace pulled out the needle with one swift motion.
"If you all won't help me, then I'll do it myself!"
Lily grabbed her shoulder.
"Grace!"
"Calm down!"
"I know you're angry, but your body hasn't recovered yet.
"Can we talk about it later, please?
"Mom will never let you suffer unjustly. Mom will definitely help you get revenge!
"Wilber, Luann, Myron, none of them can escape!"
...
On the comfortable large bed,
Luann lay in Myron's embrace, half-closed her eyes, and rested her face against his shoulder as she listened to his magnetic voice telling a beautiful fairytale.
Listening, she unintentionally fell asleep.
Myron laid Luann down, tucked her in, and was about to lie down himself when his phone suddenly rang. He quickly hung up before the second ring.
He quietly left the room before calling back.
"Myron, thanks to you, Holly completely ignored me this time," Eddy said.
Myron furrowed his brow, "Why?"
"I really didn't expect it. You always seem quiet and serious, but I never thought you were this kind of person," Eddy complained.
He used to kindly recommend these things to Myron.
It was really unnecessary!
The more Myron listened, the more confused he became, "What are you talking about?"
"That DVD, it's yours, right?"
Myron sensed something and pushed the door open slightly, looking at the nightstand.
The DVD was gone.
"You took it?"
Eddy sighed, "To be precise, Holly took it."
"You and Luann... you guys... are really something," Myron said.
Myron didn't know what was on the DVD. He had never played it, so he didn't understand the meaning of Eddy's words.
Myron shook his head, not dwelling on it, and went back to his room, embracing his wife to sleep.
Dawn arrived.
Luann woke up.
The person beside her was still asleep.
Luann rarely woke up earlier than Myron. She quickly tidied up and had a simple breakfast before heading to the company.
When Myron woke up, the bedding beside him was already cold.
He asked John, who said, "It seems like the Mrs. was in a hurry. She left early in the morning."
Myron knew Luann must have something important to do, so he also went to the company.
But as soon as he reached downstairs, he saw Luann hurrying out.
"Luann."
"Huh?"
Luann stopped in her tracks, surprised to see him, "Why are you here?"
Myron walked up to her and reached out to tidy up the messy hair caused by her hurried run.
"Do you have something worrying you? Do you have something urgent?"
Luann gritted her teeth. Since Myron had already guessed it, there was no need to hide anything.
She simply said, "I have to submit three artwork pieces within three days, or else I'll miss this year's competition."
Otherwise, she wouldn't have woken up so early, quickly finished her work, and skipped a day at the office.
"So, you're now going to..."
"Find inspiration!"
Myron nodded, "Okay, let's go buy a canvas together."
The two quickly bought the necessary supplies and went straight to the park.
Luann planned to paint a landscape. She set up the canvas and stood in the sunlight.
And then...
She spaced out.
Myron sat on a chair.
Luann stood there for an hour.
He watched her for an hour.
Just then, a commotion came from not far away.
Myron looked over and saw that someone had set up a drawing board and there were several students around.
"Oh my god, the professor's drawing is amazing!"
"He's a genius! Please, let me have his autograph!"
"Professor Ross is incredible. Not only did he rank 50th on the global art list, but he also mentored Ann, who won 10th place last year!"
"Ann? Is she the one whose photo is on our school's wall?"
"Yes, that's her! Ann, the daughter of the White family! After graduating from college, she went abroad for a few years and became so talented!"
"The gap between people is just too big!"
"Hey, I heard that Ann is having an art exhibition, and she will also come to the school to give a speech!"
"I really want to see what she looks like. I heard she's very beautiful, hehe."
The person known as Professor Ross appeared to be in his fifties, with slightly graying hair at the temples. He wore glasses and was focused on his drawing.
The people around him were chattering, which was a bit distracting.
Professor Ross suddenly coughed.
This startled everyone and they fell silent instantly.
Myron shifted his gaze and noticed that Luann had started to draw.
He looked at Luann's focused expression while drawing and couldn't help himself from opening his sketchbook and sketching as well.
Professor Ross had been drawing for over half an hour when he suddenly shook his head and said, "This scenery isn't that good, we need to move to the side."
"Professor, I think that spot over there is good!"
"Yes, that spot is right by the lake."
"I'll help clear the person from that spot, so the professor can have it!"
An eighteen or nineteen-year-old boy quickly ran toward Luann and unexpectedly tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hey, can you move over a bit?"
