Chapter 359 Disturbed Her

Diana thought, ‘If I leave the Curtis Family, we won't have any chance to fight for the inheritance. I don't care about money, but Myron and Luann still need to live their lives.’

She turned to Myron, saying, "When are you getting a job? You're a grown man; you can't expect your wife to support you. That second-place award was just luck. You need to surpass Luann to protect her."

Diana admitted Luann was impressive but also knew the more dazzling someone was, the harder they were to keep.

Myron clearly liked and protected Luann, but even strong women wanted to be protected sometimes. If one person always depended on the other, the balance would shift, and the gap would widen. Moving forward together would become impossible.

Diana understood this well and didn't want to see Luann leave Myron someday. She genuinely liked Luann.

"You have a good foundation. Go intern at another company and work hard."

Luann smiled, knowing Diana still saw Myron as someone who couldn't stand on his own.

Myron coldly replied, "Got it."

Seeing Myron agree, Diana felt relieved. "Alright, I'll head out."

Luann tried to keep her. "Mom, stay for dinner."

"No, I have something to do. Maybe another day," Diana said, walking out in her high heels.

She drove home but at an intersection, a pregnant woman walked towards her car. Diana honked, but the woman didn't move.

The sound of sudden braking echoed.

Through the windshield, Diana saw a young woman, probably in her twenties, with a bit of baby fat from pregnancy, standing fearlessly in front of her car, smiling.

Carol Martinez signaled Diana to get out of the car.

Diana pulled over and slowly got out.

A hint of jealousy flashed in Carol's eyes.

Diana, though not young, was well-maintained, with a serene and elegant charm. Carol, with only a pretty face, couldn't compare.

"You're pregnant. Stay home. If I hit you, how will you marry Watson with that child?"

Carol's eyes widened in surprise. She adjusted her hair. "You know about me?"

"Why else would I divorce Watson?" Diana's tone was calm.

Carol smiled arrogantly. "Since you know, you should understand why I'm here. You've divorced Watson, so move out and make room for me."

Diana calmly replied, "You've got it wrong. He's the one who doesn't want me to leave."

Carol laughed mockingly. "Are you kidding? Watson always says you're the most boring woman. He wanted to divorce you even before he met me! How could he not want you to leave? I'm pregnant with Watson's child, a Curtis Family child! I deserve to be his wife!"

Diana responded, "Are you done? If so, I'll leave."

Seeing Diana so calm, Carol grabbed her arm, almost digging her nails in.

"Stop pretending! You're really upset inside, aren't you? Too embarrassed to cry in front of me, right? Cheer up. Men like young and beautiful women. At your age, how many men would still be interested in you?"

Diana said coldly, "Let go."

"I won't!"

Diana said, "Then I'll call Watson."

"Go ahead! Call him!" Carol wasn't afraid. "Even if Watson comes, he'll side with me!"

Diana shook off Carol's hand and called Watson. "What do you want? What else is there to talk about?"

Diana interrupted, "Within ten minutes, take your woman away. She's bothering me."

Watson was silent but arrived quickly.

As soon as Carol saw Watson, she cried and threw herself into his arms. "Honey, stand up for me. Your ex-wife just yelled at me and said nasty things. You have to teach her a lesson."

Watson looked troubled. He knew Diana's personality—cold and indifferent, sharp with words to those she didn't like. But now wasn't the time to make a fuss.

"Why did you come out? Didn't I tell you to stay at home?" Watson scolded Carol. "My son is nearby. She must be here to see him. If you didn't come over, would she have yelled at you?"

Carol looked at him in disbelief. "You dare to scold me! You scold me for your ex-wife!"

Watson quickly covered Carol's mouth and dragged her to the car. "Stop it! Get in the car! We'll talk at home!"

But Carol bit his hand. "I don't care! Today I want you to make a clear choice. Do you choose me or her? If you choose her, I'll jump off the roof with our unborn son right now!"

Watson suppressed his anger. "What do you want? Haven't you caused enough trouble?"

Carol's tone was vicious. "Watson, I see it now. You don't want to take responsibility, do you? When you were with me, you promised I'd be your wife. But so much time has passed, my belly is so big, and the Curtis Family doesn't know about me. Not a word about your divorce has come out. How can I trust you?"

"Lower your voice!" Watson was anxious. "We'll talk at home!"

Carol continued to make a scene. "Try leaving! I'll run into the street and get myself killed, believe it or not!"

Watson felt a headache, growling, "Then tell me! What do you want?"

Carol pointed at Diana. "I want her to apologize to me!"
