Chapter 117 A Skillful Tactic
"Myron, Myron, wait for me!"
Eddy called out from behind Myron, but his steps were taken in a slow and graceful manner, like that of an ancient woman, elegant and poised.
Seeing Myron opening the car door to get in, Eddy couldn't help but feel anxious.
He took a big step forward, his face pale.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch... I must be swollen!"
Eddy's legs went weak and he fell forward.
Thud!
He used both hands to push against the car body, encircling Myron in his embrace, creating a safe distance between the two.
Cold sweat dripped from his forehead onto his chin, quickly fading away.
Eddy let out a sigh of relief. "Phew..."
It was so close.
Just a little bit more and he would have collided with Myron, getting beaten up by him.
"Uh..."
A slightly awkward voice sounded from behind.
It was the crisp tone of a young girl gossiping.
"Did I come at the wrong time again?"
Accompanied by the clicking sound of cameras.
Eddy turned around and the dazzling flashlights reflected in his pupils.
"Hehe, I'll take this picture and show it to Luann, let her see your true faces."
Eddy's mouth twitched. "No, please don't..."
Myron got into the car with a solemn face.
Eddy held onto the car door tightly, turning his head back with a kind tone.
"Don't act recklessly. If you send out this picture, it will obviously ruin Myron and Luann's relationship, won't it?"
Holly reached her hand out. "Then what about my bag?"
"It's in my car, go get it yourself! Here are the keys!"
Eddy threw the keys over, afraid that Myron would run away. He was in a hurry.
Eddy hastily got into the car.
"I'll drive, you just sit back and relax," he said with a smile.
The black Maybach drove on the main road.
Silence filled the car.
Eddy cleared his throat and shook his leg uncomfortably.
"Don't be bothered by that girl. She doesn't understand anything and is always daydreaming."
Myron raised his cold eyes without any warmth and stared at him, "Do you have any feelings for her?"
"Well... I like anyone who looks good, you know." Eddy raised an eyebrow, with a suggestive meaning.
"But speaking of which, I happen to be going to the Chinese medicine hall to get some medicine. You can come with me."
"It's not a good sign to have a nosebleed all the time."
Eddy pressed the brake and stopped at a red light.
He picked up his phone, tapped on it, and showed it to Myron.
"Look, Baidu says that nosebleeds could be a symptom of an incurable..."
"Get lost!"
Myron swatted the phone away under the seat.
Eddy hurriedly bent down to pick it up but couldn't reach it no matter how much he tried.
The honking behind them urged them.
Eddy's head got stuck inside, and his muffled voice floated up.
"Look, irritability, unstable emotions, indifference, they're all signs of mental illness!"
Myron coldly smirked.
He grabbed the back of Eddy's neck.
"Ow, ow, ow, let go!"
"My bad, my bad, I was just talking nonsense..."
Eddy struggled to retrieve the phone, rubbed his sore neck, and couldn't help but mock, "You're too violent, no wonder Luann doesn't like you..."
"What did you say?"
Eddy weakly set the navigation to the Chinese medicine hall they usually went to.
"I'm doing this for your own good. Last time when I saw your grandma, she mentioned that you always have nosebleeds..."
He earnestly advised, like persuading a disobedient child.
"We should seek treatment for our illnesses early, don't let it be delayed."
Myron clenched his teeth, tightened his fist, and made a crisp sound with his knuckles.
A chilling air seeped out through his pores and rushed towards Eddy, completely enveloping him.
Eddy shivered and forced a smile.
"It's good to have a humanoid air conditioner in summer. It's so cold that I feel like turning on the heater..."
Myron's inky eyes carried a dangerous glint, with hidden turbulent waves like a midnight beast, as if he could tear Eddy to pieces in the next second.
The car soon came to a stop.
"Let's go, let the old Chinese doctor take your pulse."
"I happen to need to get some medicine for my mom too, so stop talking nonsense."
Eddy's mother had a weaker constitution and had been taking medicine for years. He came here every month.
Myron got out of the car.
Inside the Chinese medicine hall, Eddy skillfully went to find someone to prepare the herbs.
When Myron wasn't paying attention, he quietly pulled the young assistant boy aside.
"Go, go, go, call your master and have him see my friend."
Myron sat on the side, playing with his phone. Soon, an elderly Chinese doctor approached with a kind smile, showing no hint of danger.
"Are you here to see a doctor?"
Before Myron could speak, Eddy had already seized his wrist, firmly pressing it down, not giving him any chance to escape.
"Yes, yes, he has been having frequent nosebleeds!"
"I'm afraid he has some incurable disease, so I brought him here for you to take a look!"
Eddy considerately took out a handkerchief from his pocket and placed it on Myron's wrist.
The hand of the old Chinese doctor came down.
He half-closed his eyes, feeling Myron's pulse.
Occasionally, he wrinkled his brows.
Occasionally, he looked puzzled.
The ever-changing expressions on his face made Eddy's heart race.
"What's wrong?"
"No cure?"
"How much time does he have left?"
Only then did the old Chinese doctor open his eyes, shake his head, and look at Myron.
"Recently married, right?"
Eddy looked surprised, "You can tell that?"
"And you don't have a good relationship with your wife?" the old Chinese doctor asked again.
Eddy was dumbfounded, his eyes widened in astonishment, "Amazing, you should give up being a doctor and become a fortune teller!"
The old Chinese doctor glanced at him speechlessly, "I didn't ask you."
Reluctantly, Myron gave a faint nod.
Eddy scratched his head, "What's wrong with him exactly?"
"Nothing," the old Chinese doctor said cheerfully, "Just pent-up emotions."
"Pent up... ha!" Upon hearing this, Eddy almost burst into laughter.
He forced back his amusement, clenched his fist against his lips, concealing the mockery that was about to burst out.
The old Chinese doctor calmly continued speaking, completely oblivious to the fact that Myron's face was growing darker.
"Young people have strong tempers, it's normal."
"But if you keep igniting the fire without extinguishing it, it might have some impact on your health in the long run."
Eddy coughed lightly, his shoulders slightly shaking, "Should I prescribe something to cool him down?"
"No need, this kind of thing can't be resolved with medicine. You should also stop overthinking things; don't you still have two hands?" the old Chinese doctor replied.
Myron's face turned completely dark.
He stood up abruptly and walked towards the exit.
Eddy hurriedly followed, laughing so hard his stomach hurt.
"Brother, you're too straightforward, aren't you?"
"Did you forget your specialty?"
The thoroughly darkened sky obscured the scorching heat of the summer.
A cool breeze blew away the anticipation.
Juliet stepped out of the car, moving her legs that were still sore even when she was resting.
"Brother Winterson, you've worked so hard practicing driving all afternoon."
Ally sat in the back seat, with her legs resting on the front seat's back, swinging her feet.
"When my brother was abroad, he was a famous race car driver."
"This time coming back, it's his first race in the country, so he naturally has to prepare well."
"You have no idea how influential my brother is. Originally, not many people were going to come to this race."
"But as soon as my brother signed up after coming back, all the tickets were instantly sold out!"
Juliet gazed at the racing cars speeding on the track, her eyes filled with admiration.
After standing there for an afternoon, she didn't actually catch a glimpse of Robert Winterson.
But that roaring temperament was enough to mesmerize her! The sound of brakes was particularly piercing in the dark night.
Ally casually threw her phone and immediately put on her shoes.
"Did they stop?"
"It seems... it seems like it!"
Ally hurriedly ran over.
Juliet picked up the towel and mineral water that she had prepared in advance and followed closely behind.
The door opened, and a tall figure walked out. The man took off his helmet, vigorously shook his sweaty hair, and fixated his calm gaze like still water.
"How did you get here?"
Ally smirked and pushed Juliet from behind. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Juliet twisted her foot as if she was about to fall and pounced towards the man.
