Chapter 78 The King of Jealousy Appears
A surging undercurrent filled the air between the two men.
Tensions reached its peak in an instant.
Their intertwining gazes gathered like electric currents in the sky.
Adolph stood tall and straight.
Well now, this is the wildest he's ever seen.
No worries.
He loves people who are wild like this.
Because he will make those who are wild experience what despair feels like.
Adolph scrutinized Myron from top to bottom.
With that outfit and style, it's either a luxury brand or custom-made; he must be a wealthy man.
Looks like the bar's sales today are going to reach new heights!
And so, Adolph waved his hand.
"Bring out my treasured wine!"
The waiter trembled.
"Boss, are you sure?"
Boss?
Myron furrowed his brow.
No wonder, perhaps this guy is just like Eddy, experienced in matters of the heart, which is why he easily seduced an innocent and naïve girl like Luann.
"Sir, if I lose, I'll pay for this bottle of wine."
"And if you lose, you'll pay."
"What do you think?"
Myron nodded coldly.
Soon, the waiter poured the wine and instructed those around to step aside.
Eddy immediately recognized the exceptional quality of this wine and couldn't help but contemplate.
Seems like this person isn't simple either.
But he truly has his eyes on mercilessly fleecing Myron!
Unfortunately, those who once held such thoughts have paid a painful price.
"Oh my, am I seeing things? This is the renowned Velvet Elixir, right?"
The waiter smiled and nodded, "Yes, this bottle was produced in 1935, and its selling price exceeds tens of millions."
The onlookers couldn't help but sigh; they didn't expect a simple game of dice to involve such stakes.
Truly astonishing!
Soon, more and more people gathered around.
Everyone wanted to see who would win.
The waiters confidently declared, "Our boss has been in this business for over ten years and has never lost once."
"That's right, it seems like we can finally sell this bottle of wine that has been stored for years! It's not easy!"
"Our boss was worried every day that no one would buy this wine, but it seems we found someone to extort... ahem! A good customer!"
Both sides began simultaneously, with Adolph full of confidence.
Having managed the bar for so many years, he had never lost.
However.
This time.
He was defeated by Myron.
Watching as Myron's slender fingers clutched the lid of the dice cup, lightly shaking his fingers, the sound of collision resounded, the speed so fast that it left afterimages, like a string of flowers swiftly spinning.
Adolph's temple twitched.
Why did he have a foreboding feeling in his heart...
When Luann came out of the restroom, she couldn't find Adolph.
She headed straight for the place with the most people and indeed spotted Adolph.
Adolph had already taken off his mask, his face flushed and his neck thick, either from anger or intoxication.
"Lost again?"
"How is this possible!"
"You're cheating!"
Adolph widened his eyes in disbelief, unable to believe what he was seeing.
He forcefully let out a belch infused with alcohol, his mouth twitching.
Myron's long legs were crossed, completely contrasting with his irritated stance. His words carried arrogance.
"Do you accept defeat?"
Just as Adolph was about to speak, he noticed Luann standing nearby, watching the scene.
He immediately shouted,
"Darling!"
"Someone is bullying me!"
Luann's face was full of disdain.
Just as she took a step back, Adolph grabbed her tightly.
"Come and help me!"
Myron's pupils suddenly contracted.
Adolph's grip was strong, causing Luann to stumble and fall straight into his arms.
Before she could regain her balance, her other hand was seized by icy coldness.
The next second, she was pulled into Myron's embrace.
"Sir, pulling a woman like this is very impolite." Myron intentionally lowered his voice and changed his tone from before.
Listening to the words coming from above, Luann felt a sense of familiarity.
Adolph immediately became anxious, his eyes turning cold and his aura plummeting.
"I'm pulling my sweetheart, do you need to interfere?"
"Take your dirty hands off her!"
"Don't touch her!"
"Luann, come here."
Without hesitation, Luann struggled free from Myron's hold, glaring at him with discontent.
This smelly man dared to take advantage of her?
"Stop drinking, look at what a mess you've become."
Luann looked at Adolph unhappily and slapped his cheek forcefully.
Adolph let out a belch and leaned on her fragile figure, his chin resting on her shoulder, drunk and dazed.
But in Myron's eyes, this scene immediately infuriated him. Without thinking, he grabbed Adolph by his collar and threw him out.
All the waiters stepped forward, focused on Luann.
They were waiting for her command.
"What are you doing?!"
The sudden turn of events startled Luann, and she stared angrily at Myron.
Facing such a gaze, Myron felt a twinge of pain in his heart.
Was she really scolding him so fiercely for another man?
"Miss Luann, don't you recognize me?"
Myron spoke calmly.
"We recently met at the teacher's place."
Luann looked at his masked face in astonishment, gradually recognizing him from her memory.
"You are... Curtis?"
Seeing Myron nod, Luann's anger escalated instead of subsiding.
"Sir, even if we know each other, do you really need to meddle this much?"
Luann helped the slightly dizzy Adolph up and handed him over to the nearby waiters to take him to rest.
"Let's talk in private."
After Myron finished speaking, without giving Luann any chance to react, he turned and walked away.
Leaving Eddy standing there alone, unsure of what to do next.
At the entrance of the slightly quiet private room.
The two stood facing each other.
"I remember, Miss Luann...
"Luann is already married, and it seems that this man is not her husband," Myron's tone carried a provocative tone.
Luann didn't expect Curtis to be so nosy.
They only had a chance encounter, and they were unlikely to meet again in the future.
But now, not only did they coincidentally meet, but her second brother pushed her as well.
In her heart, her eldest brother, second brother Holly, and the family head were the people she wanted to protect the most and were closest to her.
"Sir, I am truly grateful for everything you did for me at the music sanctuary."
"But that doesn't mean that you can meddle in my life."
Moreover, Luann did not intend to let outsiders know about the family head's affairs.
Listening to Luann's icy words, Myron calmly said, "I'm just curious, what would your husband's reaction be if he knew you were so close to other men?"
"That's his business, not yours!" Luann coldly retorted, her gaze filled with a dangerous glint.
After saying this, she turned around to leave.
However, Myron grabbed her wrist with a firm grip.
He gave her a push on her shoulder, causing her to lose her balance and fall backwards, her graceful spine leaning against the cold tiles. Her wrist was pinned to the side of her head, unable to move.
The man in front of her was pressing and his mint breath lingered around her nose.
"What if I said I want to interfere?"
