Chapter 338 Never Betray

The sky was gradually darkening.

A low-profile car was parked at the entrance of the restaurant.

A long, slender hand with calloused knuckles gripped the steering wheel, a silver pinky ring gleaming.

Williams hung his head low, his fringe obscuring one of his eyes.

After a moment, he looked up, his expression silent and grim.

"Gone."

'No problem. As long as he followed Luann, it was possible for him to meet Myron alone one day. I wasn't in a hurry.' Williams thought.

"Sarah!"

Under the dim light at the entrance, Holly was searching for Sarah nearby.

"In a couple of days, we need to set up some lights here. It's too dark!"

Holly couldn't help but complain, circling around several times but finding nothing.

"Sarah, where did you run off to again? There's food at home, but you didn't eat it. You're really making me worry," Holly muttered.

She sighed deeply and had to return to the house.

As soon as she closed the door, she sensed something was off.

'Why was there a silhouette on the couch?' Holly thought.

Holly remained calm and collected. Instead, she grabbed a nearby broom and charged at the figure, aiming for the head.
"Eddy, you sneaked into my house in the dark again! Did you lure Sarah away too? Watch how I deal with you today."

However, the figure dodged her attack.

"Dare to dodge?"

Holly was about to strike again when the person spoke up.

"Holly."

Holly froze, the broom dropping from her hand with a clatter.

"Williams?"

Williams turned his head to look at her.

His face showed little emotion, yet it exuded an overwhelming sense of pressure.

It was suffocating.

"We have met for long," Williams said softly.

Holly forced a laugh, scratching her head and saying, "Yeah, it's been a while! What brings you to the Upper West Side? Did you complete your mission? Didn't Jones assign you a new one? Why didn't you let me know you were coming? I could've picked you up!"
As Holly spoke, she retreated backward.

At the same time, her hand quietly reached into her pocket, intending to alert Luann.

'Williams was here!

He must know about Luann and Myron!

'It was bad!' Holly thought.

When Holly was young, she found Adolph annoying and always bullying her, while Williams occasionally stood up for her.

But as she grew older, she realized Williams was actually the one who kept his true intentions hidden.

'His protection only extended to when Luann was around.

It was just for show in front of Luann.' Holly thought.

Compared to Williams, who always wore a fake smile and remained unreadable, Adolph, who seemed mischievous but genuinely cared for her and Luann, felt more approachable.

"Are you planning to call Luann?"

Williams easily saw through her intention.

"Perfect, it's been a while since we siblings have met."

"Call her over, let's have a gathering." Williams said.

Holly froze, unable to move, blinking nervously. "It's too late. Luann must be asleep!"
"When did she start sleeping at ten? Don't you guys often stay up all night?"

Holly laughed awkwardly, "People grow up and become mature. I don't stay up late anymore, and I need to sleep too! Williams, why don't we talk about this tomorrow?"

Williams remained silent, staring at her intently.

Holly kept swallowing nervously.

Just as the tension reached its peak, the doorbell rang.

Holly's heart skipped a beat.

'Who else could it be at this hour other than Eddy?' Holly thought.

Eddy's voice came from outside, "I brought you a late-night snack. Can you let me in?"

Holly was about to speak when her throat was suddenly constricted.

She didn't even see how Williams moved. In the next second, she was pinned against the cold wall.

His silver pinky ring-adorned fingers gripped her neck, not too forcefully but enough to silence her.
Holly opened her mouth wide, desperately wanting to shout.

'Run!'

Williams's expression remained indifferent.

"It seems you care a lot about that man?"

"The one outside, is he your new gigolo?"

He loosened his grip slightly, giving Holly a moment to speak.

"No, I don't know him well."

Williams responded , "Not well, so if I get rid of him, you wouldn't be sad?"

Holly's pupils contracted sharply.

"Williams, don't do anything rash. He's Luann's friend. If you hurt him, Luann will definitely be mad at you!"

Williams let out a light snort from his nose.

His smile indeed had a hint of madness.

"One friend is enough for her."

"The outside world is too dangerous. It's not something she should be involved in."

"Holly, I've been quite good to you. Is this how you repay me?"

Holly managed to squeeze out a sentence from her throat.

"You shouldn't think this way. Luann is an independent person. She has her own thoughts and should have her own life. Why should she sacrifice herself for the Miller family? Why should she be trapped in the Miller family for life? You always say you love Luann. Is this how you love her?"

"Your feeling to her is no different from imprisonment. Do you think it's what she wants?"

A cold light flashed in Williams's eyes.

"Do you know what you're saying?"

Holly's tone was firm.

"I'm very clear-headed right now."

The doorbell continued to ring persistently.

Eddy pressed his ear to the door, listening to the faint sounds inside.

"Holly, I know you're home and not asleep. Open the door."

"Could it be you've hidden some man?"

Holly felt a massive headache.

'Why did Eddy have to come and get involved now?'

Williams laughed.

"Don't you want to contact Luann?"

"I'll give you the chance."

"Within three minutes, dial her number and get her here."

"Otherwise, the man outside will disappear from this world by tomorrow."

Holly gritted her teeth, wanting to curse out loud.

"Can you be rational?"

"Two minutes left," Williams said calmly.

"What? I only said one sentence!"

"One minute," Williams didn't seem interested in hearing her nonsense.

Holly fell silent, deflated like a punctured balloon.

"I won't betray Luann."

"Never."

"Don't expect me to call her. It's useless."

"And I don't want to owe anyone's life."

"If you really kill him, just send me along too. That way, in hell, we can still be companions."
