Chapter 88 Reflecting on Oneself

Eddy thought Luann was indeed beautiful. But she already had someone in her life. He knew Myron's methods and daring to offend him and vie for someone with him would be ensuring his death.

Holly raised an eyebrow, completely oblivious to what was wrong, lost in her own speculations.

“What if not?” she asked.

Eddy felt a deep sense of powerlessness. Combining it with the nonsense Holly had said when they first met, he immediately understood everything.

“You’re overthinking. I don’t like her.”

Holly furrowed her brows, surprised that this guy dared to act like this.

“Just admit it!”

“Besides, I’m not someone who blabs. I won’t tell Myron about this.”

Eddy didn't want to take the blame for this. He smiled with a friendly tone.

“You seem to have misunderstood. Luann and I really have no relationship.”

Holly's face was full of disappointment.

More than that, it was anger!

She couldn't believe that the pretty boy Luann had set her eyes on didn't have the courage to admit their relationship!

How could a person like this be worthy of Luann?

“Are you kidding me? Have you no blood running through your veins? How can you pretend so well!”

“Just admit it, it won’t hurt!”

Eddy's eyelid twitched. He looked at the woman's flushed face out of anger and Holly, who was trying hard to raise herself up on her toes to seem more imposing, and he couldn't feel any irritation.

He even found it quite cute.

"Why should I admit something that hasn't happened?"

Holly smirked in anger.

"Fine!"

"Then let me ask you!"

"If you don't like Luann, why did you go watch her piano performance?"

Eddy spoke without thinking, "Well, it's because..."

He almost blurted out Myron's name.

That was close...

He almost revealed a shocking secret.

Eddy's tone was natural. "I also really like Narman, so I went to listen to his last performance when he retired. Any problem with that?"

Holly was stunned. "His name is Vincenzo Norman! Vincenzo Norman! How can you claim to like him when you can't even remember his name?"

"Don't make useless excuses. Other things can be fake, but tickets can't be fake, right?"

"The ticket you have is the same as mine, they are both insider tickets!"

"If you didn't know Luann or Vincenzo Norman, how could you possibly get one?"

After exchanging tickets with Eddy, Holly realized the problem.

She didn't think much of it at the time.

It wasn't until this meeting that she discovered this earth-shattering secret!

Eddy was speechless.

The ticket given to him was indeed from an insider.

But...

It was given by Myron!

Now, Eddy couldn't defend himself.

"You've been exposed. You have nothing to say now, right?"

Eddy: "..."

On the way back, Eddy sighed frequently.

Myron's hands paused on the keyboard several times, finally unable to endure it any longer.

"Are you choking on something?"

Eddy choked in his throat, rolled his eyes at him, and sighed heavily.

"I'm just curious why there is such a unique person in this world with such a peculiar way of thinking..."

Myron took a sip of water and returned his gaze to the screen.

Seeing that he didn't respond, Eddy turned his head to look at the two people behind him.

He saw Holly half-reclining comfortably in her chair, with a small TV in front of her playing a video, and earphones in her ears, wearing a serious expression.

Eddy couldn't help but ask Luann, "What is she watching?"

Luann flipped through a magazine and glanced faintly. "The Harem Chronicles."

Coincidentally, Holly whispered a comment at this moment, "This person has no shame! How dare a mere guard try to steal our emperor's woman? Doesn't he know his own boundaries?"

Eddy: "..."

Thank you.

I was included in the joke.

Seemingly sensing Eddy's embarrassment, Luann spoke calmly.

"Ignore her. She has watched it many times already."

Eddy clicked his tongue. "Isn't she tired of it? She must have memorized the whole plot by now."

Luann smiled lightly and casually flipped a page with a hint of helplessness.

"For her, every re-watch allows her to imagine new content."

Eddy nodded thoughtfully. "Indeed."

Myron, who was listening to the conversation on the side, furrowed his brow in confusion.

After getting off the plane, Myron took Luann home.

Before the car reached the front door, Luann saw an elderly person standing in front, frail and eagerly looking around.

When the old lady saw them, a heartwarming smile appeared on her face.

Luann opened the door, got out of the car immediately, limping.

"Grandmother, why aren't you waiting inside?"

The old lady wore a loving smile and held her hand.

"I missed you, wanted to see you as soon as possible."

John chimed in, "Madam knew early on that the young master and madam were coming back. She didn't sleep well all night and got up before dawn to prepare a table full of food."

Luann's heart warmed, filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Grandma."

"No need to be polite with me."

Myron stepped forward, about to support Luann. Then, a sharp slap resounded. "Butler John, you support Luann, not that guy."

The old lady’s expression changed drastically, immediately turning serious. "You're so useless, you can't even protect your own wife! What use are you?"

Myron rubbed his nose and remained silent.

After washing her hands, Luann sat at the dining table, looking at a spread of dishes, all of which she liked.

"Luann, you need to replenish yourself since you’ve been. Have a bowl of soup first."

"It has some medicine in it, good for your body."

Luann lowered her head, and the aroma of the soup instantly enticed her nostrils. The taste of the medicine wasn't overpowering, but perfectly balanced.

Myron sat beside Luann, picked up his chopsticks, and was about to pick up a piece of meat. Grandma’s chopsticks immediately intercepted, stopping his action. "You still have the nerve to eat?" "Go, go, go, stand in the corner and reflect!"

Myron frowned and was about to speak. Luann hurriedly said, "Grandma, this has nothing to do with Myron, and we didn't go together either."

"Don't blame him."

Grandma hmphed in a sullen manner, secretly feeling sorry for Luann. Besides, she knew Myron's personality well enough that even if she scolded him ten or eighty times, he would act as if he didn't hear.

However, Myron suddenly put his chopsticks down, hung his head with a hint of grievance, and walked silently to a corner of the dining room, standing there.

John rubbed his eyes in confusion. What's going on? When the young master just got up, he seemed... pitiful?

Luann saw this and immediately said, "Grandma, you're misunderstanding Myron."

Regardless of the situation, Myron came rushing over when she was injured, stayed overnight at the hospital, sleeping on a small couch, and tirelessly bought food.

But now, because of her scolding, he was punished, made to stand in a corner. How could she bear it?

However, Luann didn't notice the slightest hint of discomfort on Myron's face as he stood there being punished.

The corner of his lips curved up, full of satisfaction...
