Chapter 27 The Young Mrs.

Wilber Gilbert scanned Luann Weaver, who was sitting calmly on the sofa.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were here, so I didn't bring anything for you," Luann said, meeting his gaze with a particularly bold look.
"It's okay," he replied. "It also saves me the effort of throwing out the trash," Wilber Gilbert's expression changed slightly.
Mike Weaver immediately scolded, "Juliet! Stop fooling around. We have guests at home, so go make tea!"
Brianna interjected, "Let me go instead. Juliet just got back, why do you always make her do everything?"
Juliet let out a soft hum and promptly pounced into Wilber Gilbert's embrace, coquettishly saying, "Wilber, why did you take so long? I missed you so much."
Wilber Gilbert gently touched her hair, smiling warmly. "It's all because of Mr. Jeff's matter. The contract got ruined by Luann, so I have to go see him and discuss cooperation again."
Mike Weaver's eyebrows furrowed deeply. "What got ruined?"
Wilber Gilbert shook his head lightly. "It's nothing, just some company matters."
Mike Weaver turned to Juliet and said, "Juliet, tell me."
Juliet looked pitifully at Luann and exaggeratedly said, "It's because my sister doesn't understand anything about work and she angered a boss who wanted to collaborate with Wilber. I had to step in to mediate."
"We already had the contract in hand, but my sister blamed me for stealing her thunder and ruined the contract..."
The more Mike Weaver listened, the angrier he became. "Luann Weaver! You truly are so immature!"
"And you, Wilber Gilbert! Why did you let her stay in your company even though you've already broken up?"
Juliet pouted with her red lips. "Dad, don't blame Wilber. It was my decision," she said. "My sister doesn't know anything. Besides Wilber's company, where else would she be wanted?"
Wilber Gilbert tried to defuse the situation. "Let's just forget about it, it's a small matter."
Brianna came out of the kitchen and placed the tea on the coffee table. "Stop standing and come sit, Wilber Gilbert."
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Juliet pulled Wilber Gilbert to sit directly across from Luann Weaver.
"Wilber, I want to eat grapes," she said, as Wilber Gilbert smiled and handed her a grape. Little did he know, Juliet insisted, "No, no, I want it peeled."
"Alright, alright, I'll peel it for you."
The two of them were immersed in their own little world, Mike Weaver watched them with a smile on his face.
"It's so sweet, sister, you should try some too."
Luann Weaver gave her a faint glance and secretly sighed that she had the foresight to have already eaten.
Seeing that she didn't say anything, Juliet Weaver felt a sense of satisfaction in her heart.
She wanted to make Luann Weaver uncomfortable.
She wanted Luann Weaver to see how her ex-boyfriend now dotes on her, Juliet Weaver!
Soon, the servant announced that dinner was ready.
They fed each other, looking like a pair of lovey-dovey lovers.
Unable to resist, Mike Weaver asked, "Wilber Gilbert, when should I invite both our families for a meal and discuss your wedding date?"
Wilber Gilbert's hand holding the chopsticks tensed slightly, but then he smiled and said, "There's no hurry for that."
"Why no hurry? The additional dowry money has already been given, and it's time to decide on the wedding date," Mike Weaver insisted.
Juliet Weaver nodded eagerly, her eyes shining.
"Yeah, Wilber, it's been a long time since I've seen Auntie."
There was a hint of unease on Wilber Gilbert's face, and his left hand on the table unconsciously grabbed a tissue.
After being together for two years, Luann Weaver was particularly familiar with this little gesture of his.
Whenever he felt nervous, helpless, or needed an excuse, Wilber Gilbert would do this.
"Uncle, I think... if I'm going to marry Juliet, I have to give her the best."
"The previous wedding house... actually doesn't belong to Juliet and me."
"I plan to sell it and buy another one."
"As for the wedding, I will also decorate it with care."
"After everything is settled, I will arrange for you to meet my parents."
"How about that?"
Mike Weaver reluctantly nodded, obviously not satisfied with Wilber Gilbert's answer.
However, the Gilbert family was a decent family for the Weaver Family, and he couldn't force him.
He didn't want him to feel like Juliet couldn't get married!
"Well then."
Wilber Gilbert's shoulders relaxed slightly, and he quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Wilber, this is for you."
Juliet Weaver handed him an invitation to Vincenzo Norman's piano performance as if presenting a treasure.
"Do you have time? Let's go together."
Wilber Gilbert nodded without even looking at it. "Sure, as long as you like it, I'll accompany you."
"Ugh, you're so annoying."
Just then, Wilber Gilbert's phone rang.
He answered and said a few words, then apologized with a look of regret, "Sorry, Uncle and Aunt, something urgent has come up that I have to take care of."
"Okay, I have to leave now," said Wilber Gilbert.
Mike Weaver paused for a moment and hurriedly said, "Juliet, quickly accompany Wilber Gilbert."
"Alright."
Juliet Weaver held onto Wilber Gilbert's arm and walked out.
Seeing this, Luann Weaver also put down her chopsticks and stood up.
"I've finished eating, I should head home now."
Mike Weaver slammed the table and had an unhappy expression on his face.
"Where are you going?"
"You're leaving even before the elders finish eating? Don't you have any manners after living with the Weaver Family for four years?"
"Who gave you the courage?"
Luann Weaver was about to speak when a sharp and dominating voice came from the entrance.
"I gave her the courage!"
Luann Weaver's gaze slightly trembled as she looked over in surprise.
There, Myron Curtis walked over with his shirt and trousers, taking long strides.
His scarred face, without a mask, looked terrifying with his gloomy and silent eyes. Just one glance from him was enough to send chills down one's spine.
He approached Luann Weaver and reached out his long arm, pulling her into his embrace.
"She's my woman, it's not your turn to teach her a lesson!"
His words revealed a hint of fierceness and murderous intent.
Mike Weaver was stunned by his dominance.
It was Brianna who reacted first, elegantly standing up and extending her hand. "You must be Mr. Curtis, right? Hello, I'm Luann's stepmother."
Myron Curtis responded with a faint "Hmm."
Brianna didn't feel embarrassed at all and naturally withdrew her hand, resting it on Mike Weaver's shoulder.
"Dear, greet Mr. Curtis."
Mike Weaver hastily stood up, a thick smile appearing on his face. "Mr. Curtis... Mr. Curtis has arrived..."
This face was even scarier than the rumors!
"Mike Weaver."
However, Myron Curtis didn't show him any respect.
His voice was as cold as ice that had been freezing for thousands of years, emotionless as he sternly warned Mike Weaver.
"The Missus of the Curtis family's heir isn't someone you can bully."
