Chapter 11 Greasy Boss

The next morning, when it was dawn, Myron Curtis was no longer by her side.
Luann Weaver went downstairs after freshening up and happened to see John going upstairs.
John greeted her with a gentle smile, "Madam, you're awake. The young master is waiting for you."
"Are you dining together?" Luann Weaver nodded.
She sat across from Myron Curtis and glanced at him. The embarrassing scene from last night still lingered in her mind. "You're up early."
"Mhmm."
Neither of them spoke much and finished their meal in silence.
Luann Weaver glanced at the time. "I have to go to work."
"I'll give you a ride." Myron Curtis picked up the car keys that were already prepared.
"Actually..." Before she could finish her sentence, Myron Curtis had already walked out of the living room with large strides.
Luann Weaver had no choice but to pick up her bag from the couch and put it diagonally across her oversized clothes before catching up to him.
They quickly arrived near the company, and Luann Weaver didn't want others to gossip, so she said, "Just drop me here."
"What time do you finish work? I'll come pick you up."
Luann Weaver's hand, which was opening the door, paused slightly. "I'm not sure if I'll have to work overtime, I'll let you know later."
Myron Curtis handed her his phone. "Your number." After adding it to his contacts and WeChat, Luann Weaver finally got off the luxury car.
Unbeknownst to her, this scene was all captured by a BMW behind. Juliet Weaver's jealous gaze watched as Myron Curtis drove away in the Maybach, her red lips lightly biting her lower lip.
"The person who gave my sister a ride to work should be yesterday's boss, right?"
Wilber Gilbert wore a displeased expression. Especially after realizing that Luann Weaver, after leaving him, was not as destitute as he had imagined, and instead found a man wealthier and more influential than him, it felt like a thorn had pierced his heart, making him uncomfortable.
How could a woman like her attract a man's attention, even to the point of blindness?!
"My sister is so lucky, first having a good boyfriend like Wilber, and later marrying into the Curtis family."
"Now, she even has a caring boss taking care of her. It's really enviable," Juliet Weaver sighed.
Wilber Gilbert snorted coldly, "A woman who plays both sides and treads two boats like her only disgusts me!"
Juliet Weaver's soft and boneless hand gently stroked his chest. "Just forget it, Wilber. After all, you two have been together and had feelings for each other for two years. Otherwise, my sister wouldn't have come to work at your company after marrying someone else."
Mentioning this, the center of Wilber Gilbert's eyebrows jumped harshly. "That damn woman, I originally wanted to save us both some shame, that's why I didn't dismiss her myself!"
"Don't worry, as soon as I get back to the company, I'll immediately kick her out!"
In Juliet Weaver's slender, fox-like eyes, a trace of imperceptible shrewdness flashed by. "Wilber”
"Do things leaving a margin."
"When we get married, we will definitely show respect to my sister."
"If we make the relationship very tense now, it will be awkward in the future."
Juliet Weaver showed a faint smile, casually mentioning.
"I heard that there is a long-standing collaboration project in the company, and the other party is the owner of the Jeff Group group."
"If my sister takes action, it will surely be successful."
Wilber Gilbert looked at her firmly, and the corners of his mouth, which were drooping just now, gradually lifted up.
The owner of the Jeff Group group is a middle-aged man, and his only requirement for cooperation is to be good-looking.
Wilber Gilbert already had some calculations in his heart.
Yesterday, Luann Weaver embarrassed him in front of so many people and took away a lot of his money.
He would definitely not let her off!
Luann Weaver entered the company and conscientiously nestled in her own little corner.
After confirming her relationship with Wilber Gilbert, she started working at his company.
Though she said she was working, she didn't even have a proper position and was just a gofer.
Six hours out of the eight-hour workday were spent slacking off, while the remaining two hours were for sleeping.
Everyone in the company was puzzled as to why she was hired.
Luann Weaver never explained, nor did she ever mention in front of others that she was Wilber Gilbert's girlfriend.
Because Wilber Gilbert once said it like this to her.
"Luann, the company strictly prohibits office romances."
"As the boss, if I violate the rules, I won't have any credibility in the company in the future."
"Please understand, don't go around spreading it, okay?"
Therefore, except for her closest friends and family, no one knew about her being together with Wilber Gilbert for two years.
It's a pity that some people's trust is really not worthy.
Luann Weaver opened her computer and randomly clicked on a news article.
The news reported about the marriage of the Curtis family's young master, but it didn't mention anything about the background of the bride's family, not even their last name or first name.
Presumably, the Curtis family intentionally wanted to conceal it.
"Knock, knock -"
Luann Weaver heard the sound of someone knocking on the table and looked up.
She met Wilber Gilbert's gloomy stare.
He threw a folder at her, speaking to her like a stranger.
"Conclude this project for me."
Luann Weaver opened it and quickly scanned through it, realizing the name of the other company.
"The person has already been arranged."
"8 p.m., South Mountain Hotel, Room 3001."
Weaver had no doubts.
Wilber Gilbert was already prepared to answer her question "why do we have to go to the hotel for cooperation", but she nodded and continued to gaze at the computer.
Wilber Gilbert's fingers slowly clenched, and a sense of unwillingness surged in his heart.
After being together for over two years, their love ended so easily, without any emotional reaction.
She was even more unfamiliar to him than a stranger!
Juliet Weaver was right, there were too many men around her, so how could she care about him!
The sky quickly darkened.
Before leaving the company, Luann Weaver sent a WeChat message to Myron Curtis.
[Let's discuss our cooperation later, you don't need to wait for me to have dinner.]
Myron Curtis replied instantly.
[Okay.]
Stopping at the entrance of room 3001, Luann Weaver swiped the room card to open the door.
As soon as she entered, there were rose petals all over the floor, leading all the way inside.
A greasy, pot-bellied man with his hair slicked back rushed out, shining eyes fixed on her.
Luann Weaver showed no expression.
"Mr. Jeff, let's talk about the cooperation."
"Sure, sure!"
Mr. Jeff smirked, eagerly rubbing his hands.
"Beautiful, as long as you please me, I'll agree to any conditions!"
Luann Weaver threw the contract onto the table.
"Mr. Jeff, why don't we sign the contract first?"
"Why rush? The night is still young, I'm here, are you afraid I will run away?"
Rarely have I seen such a beautiful woman, even more stunning than female celebrities on TV!
Mr. Jeff was excited, his hand holding the wine glass trembled.
He handed it over.
"Come, let's have a drink."
Luann Weaver reached out and took a sip, finishing it in one gulp.
"Can we sign now?"
Mr. Jeff hesitated for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"Beautiful, you can hold your liquor!"
"Let's sign, I'll sign now!"
