Chapter 497 Learning a Lesson

As soon as they stepped out the door, Williams couldn't help but take a swing at Myron.

However, this time, Myron didn't hold back. After dodging a fierce blow, he kicked Williams squarely in the chest.

If it weren't for the fact that Williams was Luann's brother, Myron wouldn't have shown any mercy and could have knocked him out cold.

Even now, he held back a bit.

A metallic taste surged up Williams' throat.

Williams forced it down with a gulp, but a bit of red still seeped from the corner of his mouth.

Pain.

Excruciating pain.

The pain made cold sweat bead on Williams' forehead.

Adolph watched gleefully from the side.

Williams had been strutting around the Miller family for years; it was about time someone put him in his place.

If Myron really was the mastermind behind RH, then Williams' skills were laughable!

Adolph silently touched his own ribs.

Finally, someone else could share his pain.

Let's see if Williams would still dare to be so arrogant when mentioning Myron in the future.

Williams wiped away the blood forcefully, his eyes dark and predatory like a wolf's.

He gritted his teeth in fury.

Just as he was about to challenge Myron again, Luann stepped between them.

But her stance unconsciously leaned towards Myron.

"Enough, how long are you two going to keep this up?"

Adolph nodded.

"Yeah, we can't afford infighting right now. We need to work together and find a solution."

"How can a useless guy like him work with us? He can't even protect his own wife, what kind of man is he?" Williams spat, his eyes filled with malice and hostility as he looked at Myron.

Adolph thought to himself, "This Williams is really asking for it!"

Myron smirked coldly.

"If you're so capable, why don't you take a trip to RH?"

"You think I won't?" Williams glared at him.

Their eyes locked.

Sparks flew.

A fierce tension crackled between them.

"I want to see who the real boss behind RH is!" Williams said, and he actually started walking out, not looking back.

Adolph adjusted his glasses.

He said to Myron, "That's just how he is. Don't take it to heart. You've had a long trip back, you should go rest."

"Alright."

Once inside, with the door closed, Luann asked, "Are you angry?"

Jones and Williams hadn't treated him well.

Myron shook his head, gently stroking her hair. "Not at all. This is an easy problem to solve. Since they never intended to discuss our marriage seriously from the start, I don't need to show them much respect."

That's why Myron had Barlow come over.

Luann pouted slightly.

On one side was the man she loved, on the other was the Miller family that had raised her.

She really didn't want to see them at odds because of her.

But now, it seemed the situation had become very simple.

"Don't worry, leave everything to me. I won't make things difficult for the Miller family, and I won't mistreat Jones."

Myron seemed to sense Luann's worry and reassured her.

"Mm, I believe you."

Luann wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest.

The car sped down the road.

Williams floored the gas pedal, his chest heaving with unspent rage.

Entering RH's jurisdiction, he didn't slow down at all.

In front of a large surveillance screen, several people in black clothing immediately spotted him.

"Mr. Bartlett, someone has broken in."

Barlow, leisurely sipping coffee at a desk, looked up.

"Mr. Bartlett, the license plate is from the Miller family."

"Mr. Bartlett, should we intercept?"

Barlow said calmly, "No need, let's see what he wants."

Soon, the car stopped at the auction house entrance.

RH had fixed open hours each year. When there were no auctions, only RH staff patrolled the area in shifts.

As soon as Williams stepped into the RH auction house, his burning anger seemed to douse by half.

He shouldn't have been so impulsive.

This was RH, not a place he could mess around.

"Where's Mr. Bartlett? I want to see him." Williams raised his chin arrogantly, his eyes cold and commanding.

The staff member was polite, bowing slightly. "Sorry, do you have an appointment?"

"Tell him to come down and see me," Williams said slowly, "I have something important to discuss with him."

The staff member looked troubled.

"Sorry, if you don't have an appointment, Mr. Bartlett doesn't see outsiders."

Williams took a deep breath and stepped forward.

He was blocked.

"Sir, Mr. Bartlett doesn't see visitors. Please leave within a minute."

Williams' eyes turned cold, and he flicked his fingers.

Before the staff member could react, a black needle pierced his neck.

The next second, he lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground.

The sudden commotion drew all the nearby guards, who looked at him warily.

It was said that RH's guards were top-notch, not as skilled as RH's private forces, but more than enough to maintain daily security and deal with troublemakers.

Williams leisurely stretched his wrists and ankles, his tone arrogant.

"I really want to see how good RH's people are."

The guards exchanged glances.

The next second, most of them stepped back, leaving only one.

It seemed they wanted a one-on-one fight.

Williams stepped forward, launching the first attack.

Every punch and palm strike seemed to compress the air, creating strong gusts and whooshing sounds.

However, after ten minutes of fighting, neither had gained the upper hand.

What shocked Williams the most was that his proud skills were evenly matched with this guard!

Barlow watched their fight with interest from the surveillance, shaking his head.

"With skills like that, you think you can take someone from our boss? I don't know where you get your confidence."

"Alright, stop wasting time. Everyone, give him a lesson."

"Oh, and don't hit his face. He needs to attend the banquet our boss is hosting in three days."

As soon as he finished speaking, the guards' earpieces relayed the order.

They swarmed him.

Even a skilled fighter can't fend off many.

Williams was soon beaten to the ground, unable to fight back.

Half an hour later.

Williams' battered body was thrown outside.

His eyes were closed, fingers twitching unconsciously.

Unwilling!

So unwilling!
