Chapter 467 Culinary Showdown

Luann heard the commotion over here.

She glanced over.

Instead of reprimanding Adolph for his actions, she looked a bit worried and said to Elodie, "Take some time to go to the hospital for a check-up."

Adolph was a top-notch expert in medicine; hardly anyone with a problem could escape his eye. So Adolph's words were certainly not meant to tease Elodie.

"Okay, I'll do a thorough check-up once I get back to the States." Elodie nodded and responded politely.

Only then did Luann smile with relief. She then asked, "Adolph, how did you know I would come here?"

Adolph smiled and tried to put his arm around her shoulder, like as they were close as children.

However, before his hand could make contact, Myron grabbed his wrist.

"Myron, you have some nerve. Do you really think that just because my sister likes you, I won't dare do anything to you?" Adolph warned.

Myron stared at him coldly. Their eyes met like clashing swords, as if they had already exchanged hundreds of blows.

"Be cautious, I might surreptitiously report you. Remember, you have yet to meet the Miller family's expectations."

"The Miller family?" Elodie's beautiful eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"That powerful and mysterious Miller family from Unionia?" Myron spoke coldly.

"I'm here for that very reason." Myron continued.

Williams was like a ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment; they had to find a way to deal with him.

Adolph smirked, "Alright, you've got some guts."

He gave a meaningful look and then answered Luann's question, "I got word from Sunflower that you were coming back to handle this personally, but you didn't contact us, clearly not wanting to meet us."

"And when you bought this house, you praised it several times, saying you liked the quiet surroundings." Adolph continued.

"So I took the liberty of coming over."

"I was just worried my dear sister might go hungry. After all, in this remote area, you can't even order takeout." As he spoke, he walked towards the fridge.

When he opened it, it was filled with all sorts of necessary vegetables.

"It's been a while since you had your second brother's cooking, right? Let me show off a bit; I've recently learned a few new dishes." Adolph voiced.

With that, Adolph walked into the kitchen and naturally put on an apron. Just as he was about to show off his skills, Myron followed him in.

Adolph chuckled, "Please take a seat. You're a guest. I should take good care of you."

Myron, expressionless, said, "This is Luann's home, which makes it my home too, so you should be the guest."

Adolph raised an eyebrow, his crimson tongue sweeping over his molars.

"Please, no formalities." Adolph commented.

Myron had no intention of engaging with him and directly took out tomatoes and eggs from the fridge.

Adolph seemed to have found Myron's vulnerabilities. He leaned lazily against the counter, the menacing-looking kitchen knife in his hand appearing exceptionally nimble.

"Myron, you wouldn't be trying to fool Luann with just this, would you?"

Myron's hand paused, with his brow furrowed slightly.

"What are you making?" Myron asked.

Adolph exclaimed, "I am capable of preparing numerous dishes. Why don't you step aside and allow me to proceed first?"

Myron was reluctant to let Adolph take over the kitchen.

But he also had his doubts.

'Can Adolph, a doctor, really cook well?' Adolph thought with skepticism, stepping aside and quietly waiting for Adolph's performance.

Adolph slowly bent down and took out some prepared fish fillets from the corner.

He placed some flour in a shallow dish and evenly coated the fish fillets, ensuring they were covered with a thin layer of flour.

He began frying the fish.

After handling the fish, Adolph started preparing the shrimp.

With a sharp toothpick, he easily pierced the shell of the shrimp and pulled out the entire vein.

Myron fell into deep thought.

He had met a formidable opponent.

When it came to cooking, Myron admitted he lacked some talent.

Adolph glanced at him sideways, the silver-rimmed glasses reflecting a blinding light under the kitchen lamp.

"Myron, don't just stand there. Come help peel the shrimp so Luann can eat them easily." Adolph said.

Myron reluctantly walked over, reaching out.

The feel of raw shrimp was completely different from when they were cooked.

Myron didn't know how to describe it. It made him uncomfortable.

Under Adolph's vigilant supervision, Myron successfully peeled the shrimp.

He never thought that the same hands that never trembled when negotiating billion-dollar deals would falter in a small kitchen.

"I recently learned a new dish with matsutake mushrooms and chicken broth," Adolph said.

Myron struggled to find his voice, "All meat dishes?"

Adolph met his gaze, scoffing lightly, "I assume you'd handle the vegetarian dishes."

With that, Myron nodded, "Alright, I'll do it."

"Then you go prepare the ingredients first." Adolph replied.

Myron took out some vegetables from the fridge.

By the time he was done, Adolph had almost finished his dishes.

Adolph, with great consideration, left the kitchen, affording Myron some space.

Myron picked up the knife with a calm demeanor. Only he knew how nervous he was inside.

Adolph's show of strength was clear and obvious.

Today, he couldn't afford to lose face here. Myron decisively sought outside help and called Eddy.

Eddy answered, "Hello? Are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm cooking. Can you help me out?" Myron replied.

Eddy chuckled, "No way, Are you so broke you have to cook for yourself?"

"Luann's brother is here, and he's made a lot of dishes." Myron continued.

Eddy immediately sat up straight, "This is a silent declaration of war. Don't worry, I'll definitely help you."
