Chapter 490 "Save me, please"
The crowd was somewhat uneasy and wary.
"Miss, did you enter the wrong room?"
The bidding was a serious matter.
Although it had ended, it still couldn't be seen by those unaware.
The guard at the door said, "She presented an invitation for the bidding, representing..."
"The Miller family?" someone interjected.
"The Miller family?" Myron's expression paused slightly, as if he had realized something.
Luann was a bit stunned; she wasn't sure when it was leaked that the company was owned by the Miller family.
But she still said, "Yes, so the bidding has ended, right?"
Everyone nodded in unison.
They looked at her as if she were a monster.
Having a young Myron was already shocking enough, but this girl looked like she hadn't even graduated from college!
Luann silently glanced at Myron, whose face was a bit gloomy.
"So, you're the one who won the bid?"
Myron stood up without a word, walked straight to Luann, and took her hand to leave.
The crowd was in chaos.
"What's going on? Are they going to argue over the bidding? Should we try to mediate?"
Andrew kindly reminded, "No need, let them handle their own marital issues."
"That's good, that's good. Wait, what did you say? Marital issues? They're married?"
"No way! How are we supposed to compete now? Ah!!"
Whether it was MLO Company or the Miller family, they both dominated the business world.
If these two joined forces, wouldn't they monopolize everything?
Two anxious footsteps followed closely.
Myron used some force, directly pulling Luann in front of him, his hand firmly on her shoulder, encircling her completely.
"What's going on?"
Luann innocently spread her hands, her big, dark eyes blinking.
"I don't know either, I'm just as confused. Can someone explain what's happening?"
Myron closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"So you didn't come here to find me?"
Luann exclaimed, "I never said I was coming to find you."
Myron said, "I thought you saw the address I sent you, so I didn't rest all night and flew straight here."
"What?" Luann asked, then quickly took out her phone to check.
The address Myron gave her was indeed the same as Adolph's!
"I went to sleep right after talking to you last night. When the alarm went off in the morning, I dozed off again. When I woke up and realized I was running late, I hurriedly took a cab and didn't check my phone."
Luann didn't tell him that she had groggily called out Myron's name in her sleep that morning.
Myron let out a somewhat helpless sigh.
Luann scratched her head.
"So, you were the one secretly competing with me for partners?"
Myron reluctantly nodded.
Luann continued, "You were also the one blocking my shipping channels?"
Myron nodded again.
"You deliberately launched products at the same time as me to affect my company's sales?"
Myron spoke with difficulty, "I think we should look forward and not dwell on the past."
Luann couldn't help but laugh.
"No wonder, no wonder last time you and I ended up in the same city. After I sprained my ankle and you took me to the hospital, Adolph called to say the president of MLO Company didn't show up. So that's what happened!"
Luann suddenly understood!
She and Adolph had been guessing and worrying about MLO Company's intentions, but it turned out they were just caught up in other matters!
"Is this considered a marital conflict?"
Luann couldn't stop laughing, as if something had hit her funny bone.
Myron didn't expect that his biggest business rival was actually his wife all along.
"Former rivals becoming partners overnight," Luann mumbled, "This is like a drama."
Myron gently patted her hair.
"If I hadn't overslept, maybe we could have competed face-to-face." Luann stood on her tiptoes, "Hmph, let's not talk about this. I'm starving. Take me to eat."
"Okay."
Myron immediately took Luann to a nearby restaurant he liked.
They had just sat down when Adolph called.
"Luann! How did it go? Did you win the bid?"
Luann yawned, resting her chin on her hand, her eyes on the menu.
"No."
Adolph's excited tone instantly turned into that of a comforting big brother.
"Not winning isn't a big deal. One failure doesn't mean anything. At least now we know the ugly face of MLO Company's boss. From now on, our fight will be out in the open, which is good for us."
He analyzed methodically.
Luann nodded, "Adolph, I have you on speaker."
"So what? I didn't say anything inappropriate." Adolph was unconcerned.
At that moment, a somewhat gentle voice came through.
"Adolph, hello."
Adolph laughed, "Myron! Take good care of my sister. If she comes back looking thin, I won't forgive you! But how did you two meet? Luann just got there yesterday, right? Are you in the same city?"
Myron's voice was soft, "Yes, as the boss of MLO Company, I had to personally attend this bidding."
Something seemed to fall on the other end.
"Hello? Hello? Oh, Luann, my signal is bad. I can't hear you. I'll hang up now. Bye!"
Luann smiled, "You scared Adolph."
Myron said indifferently, "He's just a coward, not my fault."
Luann could already imagine Adolph's panicked state.
As she expected, Adolph's scalpel had fallen to the ground, nearly stabbing his shoe.
"MLO Company is actually Myron's company. This is unbelievable." Adolph slapped his own face a few times, "So annoying! I need Luann to save me, or I'm doomed!"
An hour later, Adolph tentatively messaged Luann.
[Is he still there?]
Luann replied, [No, he's handling other matters.]
Only then did Adolph call.
"Luann! I'm begging you! Save me! You don't want to see me die miserably, right? Who will make your favorite roast chicken then?"
