Chapter 312Undecided Outcome
Luann's gaze wandered.
"No, she just talked nonsense."
"Besides, she didn't even know I was Avoida at the time, isn't that logical?"
Myron stared at Luann for a moment, then suddenly pulled her, closed the car door and fastened the seatbelt for her. Then he started the car without saying a word.
The night scenery outside passed by quickly
Luann tugged at Myron's sleeve in a pleasing manner, "Don't be so stingy. Men should be more generous."
He remained silent.
"Darling?"
"Husband!"
Myron's expression seemed to fluctuate slightly.
Luann continued, "I promise, nothing will happen between me and Emma!"
A sharp braking sound echoed in the quiet night.
Luann thought they had arrived, but when she looked to the side, she realized they seemed to have entered a narrow alley where only one or two dimly flickering streetlights were around.
"Where are we?"
Before she could finish her sentence, Luann felt a sudden push against her backrest, and the seatbelt on her body snapped open.
In the cramped car, a strong male scent filled the air.
It made her head rush, feeling a bit dizzy.
"Don't mess around."
Luann's hands pressed against Myron's chest.
Under the thin shirt were his strong heartbeat and muscles.
She couldn't help but touch...
The interior lights in the car went out, and Luann couldn't see anything.
She could only feel Myron's breath getting closer, his hoarse voice ringing in her ears.
"Do you like it?"
Luann swallowed nervously and can’t respond effectively and clearly.
Myron chuckled softly.
"Then you can like a little more..."
"Don't..."
If someone passed by the alley entrance at this moment, they could vaguely see the parked car, which was subtly swaying.
The mansion was brightly lit.
Adolph lazily lounged on the sofa, twirling a sharp scalpel on his slender fingertips at a lightning speed, as if he could pierce through someone in an instant.
Car sounded outside. Then followed by a notification.
"Williams is back."
Adolph didn't move.
The crisp sound of shoes landing on the ground, stopped at the entrance.
Abrupt silence.
Adolph seemed to casually turn over, only to hear a sharp crack as the sofa material where he had just lay revealed its stuffing.
If Adolph had been hit, his skin would have been torn.
"Williams, it's not good to bully patients, right? I broke several ribs, and still not healed. I can't move without bandages." Adolph chuckled.
Williams had changed into slippers, sitting calmly opposite Adolph.
As if nothing had happened just now.
"Williams, you look pale, what's wrong?" Adolph provocatively said.
Williams calmly replied, "Do you think I'm like you? Think about flirting with the girl next door when you were adolescent."
"Don't mention it. After that, the girl was so scared she moved away." Adolph waved his hand, "Was the mission successful this time? All done?"
"Yes."
Adolph noticed the bloodshot eyes in Williams, indicating he had been working tirelessly without rest for days, rushing back.
"I won't take on any more tasks for a short while," Williams said.
"Fine, take a break." Adolph smiled.
"By the way, go to the Upper West Side," Williams added.
Adolph's smile faded, "Williams, Luann married Myron with the approval of Lord Jones."
Williams mocked, "Do you think I don't know what his means? He would never allow Luann to be with another man."
Adolph spoke frankly, "But the matter is settled. Regardless of how, it was him who brought Luann close to the Curtis family."
"As for how to proceed and how to achieve one's goals, that's Luann's personal choice."
"Neither you nor I, including Jones, have the right to interfere."
"You know this, Williams. Otherwise, you would have taken Luann back on the spot."
Williams closed his eyes, looking somewhat tired and annoyed.
"I won't sit idly by."
He had watched over Luann for so many years, seen her grow up. He wouldn't just hand her over like that.
Adolph said, "Rest assured, when Luann completes the task, she will naturally come back. Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Is that so?" Williams's gaze turned cold, "But I think her feelings for Myron are not light."
Adolph fell silent.
He had witnessed the entire process through Benjamin's pinhole camera, and Williams guessed it in just half an hour?
Or did Williams pretend not to know about it?
"No way!" Adolph looked shocked, "Wasn't Myron said to be extremely ugly? Luann, who has been guarded by the two of us since childhood, should have high standards! Could it be that she got tired of handsome men and changed her taste? "
Williams smirked, "You actually know."
Adolph covered his mouth. Okay. The more he said, the more mistakes he made. He better keep quiet.
"How long is the task father gave Luann?"
"I don't know." Williams stood up. "I'm tired; I'm going up to rest."
Adolph teased, "Not waiting for Jones to come back?"
"Adolph, do you really think I'm stupid?" Jones was clearly not at home. That was just an excuse Adolph used when he called.
After saying that, Williams went upstairs in big strides. Adolph shook his head, muttering "You're so clever in other matters, why don't you realize that Luann doesn't like you at all?" After a pause, he called, "Benjamin, come in." Benjamin walked in from outside.
"Randy Torres, should we inform Luann?"
Adolph slapped Benjamin on the head. "What's the meaning of informing her?" "Let me tell you, Myron is not a simple man either."
"Look, he's second." Adolph tossed the tablet aside, replaying the afternoon's award ceremony.
"If they really start fighting, it's hard to say who will win."
"Besides, Jones said only the man he approves can marry Luann."
"It's time to unravel the secrets on Myron." "If he can really beat Williams, Jones won't say anything."
Benjamin was stunned, then raised his thumb after a moment, saying, "Impressive."
