Chapter 123 Food Preferences

Joshua was brimming with confidence.

He turned his head to look at the woman who hadn't started designing on the paper yet, a smile of imminent victory forming on his lips.

"No one has ever dared to provoke me so recklessly."

"Luann, I will make you lose miserably!"

"I will make you lose face forever in this company!"

Sensing the suppressed emotions within Joshua, Luann suddenly glanced sideways.

Her disheveled hair fell around her small, pale pink ears, and strands of soft hair landed on the paper, accentuating her fair complexion.

Her slender fingertips twirled the pen, but then suddenly paused.

"Why are you staring at me? Do you want to copy my design?"

Joshua quickly averted his gaze.

Copy her design? Even if it were placed right in front of him, he wouldn't give it a second glance!

Luann rested her chin on her hand, and the pen began to casually move on the paper.

Mr. Curtis and the others sat together, unable to see but wildly guessing.

"She's drawing so fast..."

"She doesn't need to think first?"

"She's just scribbling! I bet it won't turn out to be anything interesting."

Evan rolled his eyes and said, "She's probably giving up and going all out!"

After speaking, he couldn't help but think of mocking Myron again.

"Myron, why on earth did you bring your wife here for no reason?"

"Are you trying to ruin our company?"

Before he could finish his sentence, Mr. Curtis covered his mouth tightly with his hand.

Myron's cold and stern gaze was ever-present.

Mr. Curtis removed his other hand from the cane.

"Don't look at us, look at your wife!"

Evan broke free, extremely displeased.

"Mr. Curtis, you are becoming more and more unreasonable!"

"All I did was speak the truth. Do you have to react this way?"

Bang!

The tightly closed door was forcefully pushed open.

Alvin, with disheveled hair, appeared before everyone's eyes.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I'm late..."

He sullenly walked to a corner and sat down, looking very aggrieved.

It took him almost an hour to walk back, and he had to hitchhike and got cheated out of two hundred dollars when getting out of the car.

The long wait became a bit unbearable, and the people refrained from speaking so as not to disturb the couple's design work.

Evan even fell asleep with his head on the table.

When he woke up, he felt dizzy.

"Is it already dark?"

Mr. Curtis gently reminded him, "You only slept for twenty minutes. The competition has just started, and it has only been an hour and fifty-three minutes."

Evan rubbed his face in frustration, completely pinning his hopes on Joshua.

"I remember Joshua took five or six hours to design a blueprint. "

"Let's see how he is doing. I remember one time he spent a whole three days to hand in a design..."

"So, we have to wait here for a day?"

Myron spoke coldly, "You can wait until Luann finishes her design first."
Everyone fell silent.

Wait for her?

Forget it...

With just one resume as blank as paper, a woman who has never studied design, can she really draw something? It's impossible!

Evan was impatient, not like these people who hid their thoughts.

Without thinking, he shouted, "If she can draw before Joshua and draw better than him, I will worship her as my teacher on the spot!"

This statement was so loud that everyone in the conference room heard it.

Luann's hand trembled, finishing the last stroke.

She lightly smiled, her almond-shaped eyes half-covered, her emotions hidden like the moon behind flowing clouds.

"I dare not accept you as my disciple."

Evan's eyelids twitched violently.

Luann got up and calmly said, "I'm finished."

"Finished?"

Joshua, not far from her, widened his eyes, his initial reaction being that Luann must be cheating!

He pointed at Luann and shouted, "Don't get too close to Myron! Get out! Get out!"

Luann innocently raised her hands, "But I am a contestant."

Mr. Curtis frowned and said, "Luann, just sit at the back and wait."

"Okay."

Luann obediently sat down.

However, Joshua couldn't calm his restless heart.

How did Luann finish so quickly?
What did she draw exactly?

Rationally, he knew that even if Luann finished, it could never compare to how amazing his design would be.

But...

He couldn't help but admit that Luann's speed was astonishing.

It had a great impact on him.

"Stay calm, calm down..."

Joshua closed his eyes, took a deep breath, calmed his mind, and continued designing.

Growl...

Someone's stomach growled.

Myron glanced at his watch and promptly stood up.

"I'm going out to buy food."

Mr. Curtis responded without hesitation, "Let the staff handle the food. Just sit here."

To prevent Joshua from being paranoid and overthinking.

"I wasn't planning to buy for you guys, I'm buying for Luann," said Myron coldly.

Mr. Curtis coughed, "Well... just tell the staff what Luann wants to eat."

He made an internal call, and someone came in quickly.

Everyone began ordering their dishes.

After careful consideration, Luann said, "I'll have a plate of cold shredded chicken noodles."

The staff nodded and looked at Myron.

Myron handed over a note directly.

When the staff received it, they were dumbfounded.

Myron sure had a huge appetite!
But they didn't say anything and immediately left to buy the food.

When they came back, Myron's dishes alone filled an entire table.

Mr. Curtis happily exclaimed, "I knew you cared about me boy! I won't be an inconvenience..."

"Luann," Myron waved at Luann, who was holding the cold shredded chicken noodles, "come and have your meal."

Luann was stunned, "Huh?"

Myron stood up and decisively walked over, taking Luann's noodles from her.

"Go ahead and eat."

"But what about my noodles?"

Luann met Myron's gaze, and there was a serious look in his eyes that couldn't be refused.

She pursed her red lips and obediently sat down.

Only then did she notice that the dishes on the table were all her favorites!

Two meat dishes, two vegetarian dishes, an egg dish, soup, vegetable salad, fruit salad, and a cup of hot milk tea.

Luann picked up her meal while basking in Mr. Curtis's envious gaze, but she found a note at the bottom.

Myron hadn't touched the box and hadn't even noticed it.

She picked it up and saw Myron's distinctive handwriting, which read...

[Sweet and sour ribs should be more flavorful, remove the used ginger when steaming the fish, don't put cilantro in the soup, make the shredded potatoes non-spicy, blanch the vegetables in hot water before making the salad, don't let them be too cold...]

Luann stared at the note for a long time, feeling dazed.

Myron was actually so thoughtful and remembered her dietary preferences.

She didn't like ginger or cilantro, and because her relatives might arrive soon, spicy and cold food were strictly forbidden.

Luann raised her eyes and looked at Myron, who was calmly mixing his noodles.

An indescribable affection surged in her heart.
