Chapter 265 Are You Scared?
<Chapter>Chapter 265 Are You Scared? </Chapter>
To be on the safe side, Eddy deliberately selected this film. This way, he could mentally prepare himself, at least knowing where the scary parts were and being able to close his eyes in time.
"This, it has a rating of 9.4. I haven't had a chance to watch it with Luann yet."
Eddy's heart skipped a beat.
"Watch it with Luann?"
"Do you two often watch these together?"
Holly opened the popcorn and casually pressed play.
"Yeah, we've been watching horror movies together since we were kids. We've watched both domestic and foreign ones."
"But we always watch them at night, we haven't watched them in the afternoon. The atmosphere is boring in the afternoon."
Eddy remained silent for over ten seconds.
Then he suddenly stood up.
"I suddenly remembered that it seemed like there was a burst pipe at my house, so I need to go back." Holly lazily ate snacks without even turning her head and said, "Alright then, once you leave, don't come back."
Eddy's body stiffened, and he sat back down again.
Oh no.
It seemed that he had underestimated Luann and Holly, two seemingly delicate girls.
He quickly took out his phone and covertly sent a message to Myron.
Before he could even press send, Holly snatched it away from him.
"If you want to watch, watch seriously. Otherwise, go play on the side. It's up to you." Holly said, taking the phone.
Eddy chuckled, "Of course, I'll watch with you."
"Come on, who's afraid of who? I'm brave. Just don't cry in fear later." Eddy tried to bolster his bravery.
The movie started quickly.
Eddy stayed fully engaged throughout.
"Well, it's not that scary, haha, right?"
"Oh my god!"
"Ghost, ghost!"
"Ah, ah, ah!"
"That face is all covered in blood!"
"A hand is reaching in from the window!"
However, Eddy's attempt to act cool didn't last long as he started screaming and crying when another terrifying scene appeared.
He suddenly rushed into Holly's arms, causing popcorn to spill all over the floor.
Holly's mouth twitched as she looked down at the trembling man lying on her chest.
"You really disappoint me, dude."
Eddy sniffed her faint fragrance and felt a lot less fearful.
He had never thought that a petite girl like her, who was barely five feet tall, could be so manly.
"You're right, you're definitely not suitable for A."
Holly: "???"
"Get lost!"
Holly kicked Eddy off the couch.
He hugged a pillow tightly, his breathing becoming slow and steady.
"Hey."
"Ah, ah, ah!"
Being suddenly tapped on the shoulder made all the hair on Eddy's body stand on end.
Holly looked at him expressionlessly as he freaked out.
"Watching this thing with you is really no fun at all."
Holly turned off the horror movie, stood up, and opened the curtains.
The evening sun cast its glow through the window as if the sunlight became Eddy's support.
"If you're looking for fun, try something else."
"In other areas, I definitely can give it to you."
Holly covered Eddy's mouth with her hand.
"Will you die if you can't be perverted for a day?"
Eddy took her hand off, smirked, and said, "Talking about it is boring. Let's do something practical instead."
Holly slightly tugged at the corner of her mouth, not fully smiling, "If you can do it, then come on."
For a man, such words were a challenge.
"Then today, I'll show you whether I can or not!"
After saying that, Eddy pressed Holly onto the couch.
To his surprise, she didn't struggle.
What's going on?
Something doesn't feel right!
But when Eddy really kissed Holly and closed his eyes, the images he had just seen appeared before his eyes as if rewinding.
It made him start to feel distracted and fearful.
Three minutes later, Eddy silently rolled over.
Holly seemed to have guessed that this would be the outcome. "Old man, face the reality. When you get older, you can't expect to have the same energy as those younger guys."
"You!" Eddy angrily stared at her.
Holly stuck out her tongue and cockily shook her head.
Eddy sighed heavily and sat on the ground, feeling extremely frustrated.
He feared that things wouldn't be any better on Myron's side.
*
At exactly 11 o'clock.
Luann and Myron checked their tickets and entered the theater.
There was no one in Theater 1.
Luann and Myron sat in the center of the row.
"Could it be an exclusive screening?" Luann glanced at the time. It was starting in two minutes, and most likely no one was coming.
She didn't know that Myron had actually rented out the entire theater.
"Maybe," Myron replied in a calm tone. He lifted the armrest between them and naturally held her hand.
"It feels a bit cold." Luann sneezed.
Myron immediately took off his coat and put it on Luann.
With the warmth enveloping her, she felt much better instantly.
Luann looked at him worriedly. "Aren't you cold?"
"I'm not cold, don't worry." Myron smiled gently.
"Okay."
As the eerie and terrifying opening credits started playing, the entire theater fell into a strange silence.
Myron watched attentively, his face remaining unchanged throughout, exuding a cold aura.
But Luann felt that the hand they were holding was sweating profusely and rapidly.
And it was cold sweat.
Suppressing a smile, Luann leaned closer to Myron and whispered lowly in his ear, "Are you scared?"
Perhaps because he was too engrossed, Myron didn't notice Luann's presence for a moment.
The sudden rush of warm breath and sound made Myron tremble.
He cleared his throat and remained calm.
"Not at all."
Luann pursed her red lips and took out a tissue to wipe her own hands.
"Do you want one?" She offered.
Myron remained silent for a moment as if explaining, before speaking, "It's a bit hot, so I'm sweating."
Luann nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, that's right."
The movie ended.
Luann stood up.
"Aren't we leaving? I need to use the restroom."
Myron lowered his voice, "You go first."
"Alright."
Once Luann left, Myron also stood up.
He tugged at his clothes.
Unexpectedly, a small horror film scared him so much that he broke out in a cold sweat on his back.
And he was wearing a shirt, which would be very obvious.
Myron quickly caught up with Luann and watched her enter the restroom. He then went to the men's restroom and casually straightened his clothes.
Then he waited for her.
But after waiting for about ten minutes, Luann still hadn't come out.
Myron couldn't help but feel anxious and asked the staff outside the women's restroom.
"My wife just went in. Can you please ask her how much longer she'll be?"
The staff looked confused. "No one just went in."
"She went in ten minutes ago."
"I've been standing here the whole time, and I haven't seen anyone else."
Myron patiently said, "My wife and I came out one after another from Theater 1. When she went in, didn't you look in our direction?"
"Sir, you must be joking. It's just been you here the whole time."
Myron: "???"
