Chapter 62 Get a Divorce

Myron's face darkened, as if a storm was brewing in his eyes. His aura froze, hinting at an impending tempest.

"Ally..." he began to say.

Before he could finish speaking, a soft hand landed on his shoulder. In his ear, a melodious, clear female voice resonated.

"It's just a dance, what is there to be afraid of?"

The sound of high heels gently tapped the ground as Luann elegantly flicked her skirt behind her, displaying a graceful posture. Myron gazed fixatedly at her for a moment, seeing no trace of fear in her eyes, and allowed her to continue. The two of them, hand in hand, walked to the center of the dance floor. People who had already taken their positions stepped aside, making room for them.

Everyone was waiting for Luann to make a fool of herself.

Ally's face was filled with an overflowing sense of satisfaction.

However, when the first note of the piano played, Luann followed the rhythm and took her first step.

Myron complemented her with a straight and gentlemanly posture.

Each movement executed by Luann was precise, her dance light and delicate, her body tender like cotton, each step like a blooming lotus. Her dancing figure was like a flower shrouded in mist. Exuding a deadly allure, yet unattainable. Myron embraced her as Luann gracefully spun a few circles, falling into his embrace. The light blue skirt floated, shimmering with fine specks of light under the illumination of the lamps. In that moment when their eyes met, their gazes seemed to stretch for eternity.

Everyone was dumbfounded, fully absorbed in this dance extravaganza. Even when the piano music ceased, they remained in a trance-like state, unable to react.

Alvin was the first to applaud, followed by a deafening chorus of applause.

Ally's face turned as red as a liver, looking extremely grotesque! The corners of her mouth twitched repeatedly, with her expression completely out of control!

"That was amazing. She clearly has a background in dancing."

"Could it be that Luann not only plays the piano well but is well accomplished in dancing?"

Luann left the dance floor, passing by Ally, and spoke with a low laugh.
"I must thank Miss Hodge for giving me the opportunity to perform."

At the entrance of the building, a woman stood expressionless, her eyes watching Luann with a touch of curiosity. The sound of footsteps came from behind her.

"How long do we have to keep up with this act?" Lady Diana was asked. The person asking the question was her husband, Watson.

"You know, our parents are old and can't handle this kind of blow," Diana replied coldly, her neck empty of any adornment.

She tossed the precious necklace at him, as if discarding a worn-out shoe. The necklace slid down his suit, hitting the ground with a crisp sound.

"The divorce agreement was signed a month ago. I haven't been a part of the Curtis family for a long time. Why should I continue acting with you?"

Watson sighed deeply and tried to embrace Diana, but she avoided him.

"A day as a couple, a hundred days of gratitude, Diana. You don't have to go to such extremes," he pleaded.

Diana looked up at him with immense disgust, as if seeing a repulsive garbage heap.

“Do you find it funny to say that now?” she retorted.

"Three months, I'll give you three more months at most."

“If you don’t know how to handle the situation publicly, then let me handle it.”

Watson's brow furrowed, panic flickered across his face.

"Are you crazy? If Dad finds out about this, we won't get a single penny of the property!"

"After all these years of our hard work, are we going to be pawns in my sister and her husband's game?"

Diana's voice remained cold. "Besides money, what else is there in your eyes?"
...
The birthday banquet ended on a pleasant note.

Luann was settled in a guest room to rest, and after a two-hour nap, she was awakened by Myron. He held a set of fresh and simple clothing in hand, asking her to change into it. Luann removed her makeup and tied her hair into a ponytail. Once she put on the clothes, she looked like a young college student, youthful, beautiful, and innocent.

As soon as the door opened, Alvin was dumbfounded. He wiped away the drool about to escape from the corner of his mouth and sighed, "If you didn't mention your age, I would have thought you were my minor..."

Luann gave a faint smile and linked arms with Myron.

Alvin glanced at Luann's face, then at Myron's face that couldn't be stared at directly and couldn't help but facepalm.

"So striking, too striking..."

It's like a flower blooming in a pile of cow dung! If he could defeat Myron, he would snatch Luann away!

The three of them entered the dining hall, with Luann in the middle. They had expected the entire Curtis Family to be present, but to their surprise, only Watson and Diana were there, along with someone else... Ally. Luann first greeted her parents and then innocently looked at Ally.

"Wasn't it supposed to be a family gathering? Why is there an outsider here?"

Ally arrogantly lifted her chin, taking on the stance of a hostess.

"Forgot to mention it to Miss Luann, I've been part of this family since I was little."

"Myron grew up with Alvin."

“For me, this place is like a second home.”

"I often come to visit Auntie, and I can freely enter and exit the Curtis family."

“So, I’ve long been a member of the Curtis family.”

Diana's gaze fell on the food, and she said lightly, "Let's all sit and eat whatever you like."
Luann sat down slowly beside Myron, with a faint smile.

"Sorry, I've never heard your name from Myron before. I thought you were just an ordinary guest like everyone else."

"Today, I've heard many people saying that there's something extraordinary between Miss Hodge and Myron."

“If it wasn’t for me, I suppose Miss Hodge would be the one by Myron’s side now, right?”

Ally held a spoon and elegantly stirred the soup in her bowl. Her gaze was sharp.

"Yes, Myron and I grew up together since childhood. Our relationship is naturally extraordinary."

Luann lightly bit her lip, the contrast of white and red colors very eye-catching. Her beautiful eyes were filled with moisture.

"It sounds like I've ruined the relationship between you and Myron."

As she said that, she lightly tapped Myron's arm, half teasing and half annoyed.

"Gosh, why didn't you tell me earlier? I hate to ruin other people's relationships. If I had known that Miss Hodge liked Myron so much, I wouldn't have married you. But it's not too late now.

Getting a divorce can be quick. How about after we finish the meal, Miss Hodge goes to the civil affairs bureau with us?"

Ally looked at her in disbelief. Struck by lightning. She stood frozen, unable to move. How did she dig herself into another hole again?! Juliet had told her before that Luann still had eyes for Wilber and must be thinking of how to divorce Myron and reconnect with Wilber!
Her words weren't they fulfilling Luann's wishes?!
