Chapter 309 Standing Side by Side

Emma's neck stiffened, instinctively glancing at the seat number.
It really was number 362!
She patted Luann's shoulder, praising, "Luann, you see Myron is not bad. Although he won an award, he still didn't forget to pull you up and let you be praised by others."
Lionel, who was squatting beside, fell silent for a moment and tentatively spoke, "If I heard correctly, did Myron just mention the first place?"
Emma burst into laughter, "What's wrong with you, are you hard of hearing?"
Then, the host's excited voice broke through the microphone.
"Let's welcome the winner of the first place for eleven consecutive years—Avoida!"
What should have been thunderous applause was strangely silent at this moment.
They dumbfoundedly watched the young woman who stood up, who was like eighteen or nineteen girl.
They couldn't come back to their senses for a long time.
Myron smiled and moved his lips in silence. Luann could read his silent invitation, 'Luann, come.'
Luann raised her red lips, in front of everyone and under the surveillance of dozens of cameras with a 360-degree view, she walked slowly down the audience steps towards the stage.
Everyone stared in horror.
Ann was particularly startled, her pupils trembling.
As she passed by Ross, she was whispering to him, "Ross, let's talk after the award ceremony, okay?"
To outsiders, there seemed to be nothing unusual.
But to Ross, it felt like he had been slapped hard in the face.
It was a glaring warning and contempt!
It was only at that moment that Ross realized how foolish he had been to target both Myron and Luann.
In Ross's mind, he recalled what Luann had told him back at the Curtis family.
"Ross."
"Don't be too arrogant."
"There will be a mountain in front of you that you can never climb in your lifetime."
The mountain he couldn’t climb over just indicated that.
At his age, he had only made it onto the list twice through hard work.
And this young woman in her early twenties had already won first place for eleven consecutive years!
Was there any comparison at all?
Ross's lips trembled violently. He clutched his chest, shivering all over with vacant eyes.
Suddenly, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed on the ground.
Luann had literally stunned him!
However, this scene did not attract anyone's attention.
The backstage crew grabbed him by the collar and dragged him off the stage without any courtesy.
Two staff members exchanged glances.
"No need to save face for him. Offending Avoida and Ethan, but still thinking of walking out of here unscathed? Dream on!"
"Yeah, don't even bother giving him a chair to lie on. Throw him on the ground."
Luann stood next to Myron.
Naturally, Luann linked her arm with Myron's.
Without any need for lighting or photo editing, a casual snapshot could be used as wallpaper.
[I can't, I can't process this.]
[I spilled my water. It scared me to death.]
[Avoida? She's Avoida? How is that possible! How old is she?]
[She's too beautiful! Compared to Ann just now, Luann is simply far superior!]
[I agree, this Luann is truly stunning.]
[What was I saying? Any news about Luann is definitely major.]
The reporters stood dumbfounded for a full five minutes before someone handed over the microphone.
Luann had been standing there for so long, and the organizers hadn't said anything. Clearly she was Avoida actually!
"I can't believe it.Avoida is so young!"
"Avoida, are you an adult this year?"
Luann smiled and replied, "I'm twenty-two."
Everyone gasped.
Oh my god!
The audience below was in an uproar, "Oh my god, this is simply unbelievable!"
"This can't be real! Tell me who she is in three seconds!"
Someone in the know immediately explained, "Don't be surprised. Her name is Luann. I've seen her profile. She had her own solo music concert at the age of five, so it's not surprising that she made it onto the global art list at eleven."
"A genius?"
The reporters didn't want to miss out on such a hot news opportunity.
They bombarded Luann with one question after another.
"Avoida, I never expected you to be so young. Why didn't you attend the awards ceremony before?"
Luann replied, "It's a bit far. I didn't feel like going."
The crowd fell silent.
They had already prepared excuses for Luann in their hearts, thinking she would say something like “creating art is too difficult or something pitiful,”but she turned out to be so real!
"Avoida, is there anything memorable in your creative career?"
Luann thought carefully.
"Well, I remember when I was thirteen, I went for a walk by the lake, planning to paint a landscape, and then I saw a bird."
The reporter confidently asked, "Did you find the spot where the bird landed very artistic, adding a lot of vitality to the whole scene?"
Luann shook her head.
"No, that bird snatched away the painting I had just finished."
To be precise, it was Adolph who deliberately disrupted things , throwing bird feed onto her drawing board. Unexpectedly, the freshly completed painting was ruined.
The crowd fell silent.
"Avoida, I remember in the beginning you had a lot of works. Has it been so many years that your thoughts have gradually dried up, so you only produce three pieces of work each year?"
The backstage crew couldn't help but comment, "What's this! Avoida just doesn't feel like painting! The person who was in touch with me, told me a week before the deadline that she hadn't even started!"
The reporters were shocked.
"Huh?"
"She painted three pieces in a week?"
"And won an award?"
"First place?"
Luann corrected, "No, not a week, it was three days."
Myron added, "To be precise, it was three hours, because she worked during the day."
The whole room fell silent.
