"Little White!" Holly suddenly sat up from the bed, sweat dripping down her forehead. Her eyes were wide, and her beautiful gaze was filled with panic.

The room was faintly illuminated by the moonlight. The window, which was not closed, reflected the full moon and cast a faint shadow. Holly turned on the bedside lamp and wiped the sweat off her face.

"How could I dream about my childhood?" Holly mumbled as she buried her face in her knees, anxiously running her fingers through her damp hair. "I guess it's because of Little Yellow that I've been having these dreams recently."

Later, Luann took Holly to several pet stores. She even made an effort to find a dog that looked similar to Little White. But Holly knew that it wasn't Little White. And she didn't want to experience separation again.

Therefore, she hasn't kept any pets since then. Holly walked to the wardrobe in her slippers and squatted down, taking out a stuffed toy from beneath the cabinet. Luann had given her this gift on her seventh birthday. It was handmade by Luann to resemble Little White.

However, Holly didn't display it openly; instead, she carefully stored it away. Seeing the stuffed toy, Holly's gloomy heart eased a little. She glanced at the clock on the wall. It was three in the morning.

Holly went downstairs, sat in the living room, and turned the television on. Suddenly, a strange sound came from outside. Holly muted the TV, listening intently. She realized the sound was coming from outside the door. Holly immediately walked over and opened the door.

The night wind blew her hair, and the coolness seeped into her scalp, dispelling the heat and causing a chill. Holly trembled as she saw Little Yellow scratching at the door from outside. Little Yellow was a small yellowish-brown stray dog with a cute appearance.

Its soft fur lightly stood on end, and its grape-like eyes sparkled. It was small in size as if it had just weaned. Holly had found it a month ago. She had searched nearby several times but hadn't seen Little Yellow's mother. She didn't know if it was a natural stray dog or if it had been abandoned by someone.

"Little Yellow, what are you doing here?" Holly squatted down, reaching out her hand toward Little Yellow's head. Little Yellow seemed to understand and rubbed against her palm. "Are you hungry?"

Ever since she discovered Little Yellow's existence, she had set up a small nest for it near her house. It was a dog bed she bought online, with a large cardboard box on top and a layer of plastic bags underneath to prevent it from getting wet when it rained.

Every now and then, she would bring lots of dog food and snacks for Little Yellow .

Technically, it shouldn't have finished eating already.

"Do you miss me?" Holly said, picking up Little Yellow.

She heard faint footsteps.

Holly froze and looked up, seeing a pair of smiling eyes.

"Holly," Eddy said.

Holly's face darkened slightly, and she turned around to go back inside.

Eddy quickly stepped forward, saying, "Holly, don't be mad at me."

"Can you still call me Holly?" Holly's expression was unpleasant.

"Then, should I call you Coco?" Eddy pretended not to understand.

Holly glared at him angrily, saying, "Uncle, you have quite the thick skin, don't you?"

"Hehe, without thick skin, how can you get a wife?" Eddy took pride in this. "Look at Myron, if he wasn't shameless, would Luann be with him?"

Holly's lips twitched. "Can we even compare ourselves to them?"

Those two are so faithful to each other.

And she and Eddy, it's like they're competing to see who can be more fickle!

"Holly, um..." Eddy hesitated.

Holly looked at him. "Did you provoke Little Yellow? It never used to scratch my door in the middle of the night."

Eddy nodded. "If I didn't do that, you definitely wouldn't have opened the door."

Holly squinted her eyes. "How come I didn't realize how despicable you were, Uncle?"

"You flatter me, you flatter me."

Holly was speechless.

"Uncle, can't we let bygones be bygones?"

Eddy was persistent. "We made a deal before. I helped you hide Luann's identity, and you became my girlfriend."

Holly cleared her throat. "The novelty should have worn off by now, right?"

"We both-

"We did it.

"You don't need to cling to me like this.

"Besides, I never asked you to be responsible.

"You should be happy.”

Eddy shrugged. "I never planned on being responsible for you either.

"I came to find you so that you'd be responsible for me."

Holly's gaze turned sharp.

"What did you say?"

How could this guy still act superior!?

"You clearly took advantage of me!"

Holly was annoyed. She hadn't planned on making a big deal out of this!

"That was my first time having sex!

"Do you know what that means, for it to be the first time?!

"Do you, an old man who has had sex many times, still have any shame left?"

Eddy calmly said, "How do you know I'm not a first-timer?"

Holly was speechless.

‘What did he just say?

‘What is this old man saying?’

She laughed angrily.

"Do you think I would believe you?

"You only look at those women without doing anything?"

Eddy sharply retorted, "Aren't you the same? I believed you, so why can't you believe me?"

Holly was speechless for a moment.

She stammered, "Who knows if what you said is true or false?

"Besides, that night you clearly seemed experienced."

It was obvious that you must have had many encounters with women.

Eddy sighed deeply and shook his phone.

"After so many years of reading and watching experience, if I still don't understand, I’ll really have to apologize to those views."

Holly's face turned red in an instant.

She couldn't understand why she was having such intimate conversations with this old man in the middle of the night.

"I don't believe a single word you say!

"And don't come looking for me anymore, we won't see each other again!"

Eddy smiled, kindly reminding her.

"But you shouldn't always walk on the bridge.

"Don't you have to come down and walk on the road?"

Anger rose in Holly's heart.

"Are you crazy?

"Can't you understand simple logic?

"Go away, don't stand in front of my house and bother me.

"I'm annoyed by your presence!"

After Holly finished speaking, she quickly entered the house and forcefully closed the door.
Eddy hurriedly extended his arm to stop it.

Holly saw it, but she didn't ease up on the strength to hold the door back.
Because she felt that any normal person wouldn't use their own flesh and blood to resist this door.

However, the man in front of her seemed to not be amongst normal people.

‘Crack’

The crisp sound of the door trapping flesh rang out, and just hearing it made one feel pain.

Holly incredulously let go of her hand and dumbfoundedly held Little Yellow as she took two steps back.

Eddy took this opportunity to squeeze in from the doorway.
