Chapter 456 First Date
The door opened, Hill threw Joshua onto the bed. She stretched her back, which had been bent the whole way, but there wasn't a drop of sweat on her forehead.
Joshua's face was flushed, his eyes tightly closed, lips slightly parted, occasionally exhaling warm breath.
Hill knelt on one knee by the bed and pinched his cheek.
"It hurts." Joshua's brows furrowed slightly, his lips, stained with alcohol, were a bit moist.
Hill instinctively let go of his face, but then noticed something. "No way. Is his skin really this delicate?"
Hill couldn't help but lean in for a closer look, and there was an unnaturally red spot.
Up close, she could see it clearly. Joshua's skin was exceptionally good, without any acne marks or pits.
"Wow, not bad." Hill touched it, her hand sliding down his collar. "I wonder if his body is just as smooth." Her hand was already pinching Joshua's shoulder.
"Forget it, I'm not the type to take advantage of someone," Hill muttered, quickly slipping under the covers. She skillfully nestled into his arms, and instinctively placed his hand on her waist.
When the sun shone through the window, it was already noon.
Joshua's eyebrows twitched, feeling a bit annoyed and wanting to turn over, but he found his body seemed to be trapped. He couldn't move.
He opened his eyes to a blinding white. It took over a minute for his consciousness to clear, and he realized he was actually sleeping in someone's arms.
Joshua screamed, scrambling to get up. The blanket slid off him, "Where are my clothes?"
Looking again, he saw the person beside him was Hill. But Hill was wearing pajamas, while he only had on a pair of briefs.
Joshua quickly covered his butt and thought, 'Could it be that Hill... No, that's absolutely impossible! First of all, the size difference between us is huge. Even if something did happen, I would be the one taking the initiative. Why am I thinking like this? We were both drunk. There must be nothing happened.'
Joshua thought he must have been influenced by Holly. He had gotten drunk with good friends before, but never had he felt so panic. He tried to calm down.
Joshua decisively got up and went to the bathroom, noticing a bruise on his shoulder.
"This must be from me bumping into something," Joshua comforted himself. He braced himself on the sink, constantly giving himself psychological hints.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. It startled him, making him shiver.
"You've been in there for half an hour, are you constipated? Need my help?" Hill's voice came from outside the door.
Joshua yanked the door open, his eyes a bit red. "You... I..."
Hill raised an eyebrow, her long, white legs swaying under her oversized sweatshirt. "What?"
Joshua swallowed, looking away. "Last night, we..."
"Oh, you mean last night." Hill's tone was casual. "I carried you back. The first half of the night was fine, but in the second half, you started throwing up, all over the bed. I had to get up and clean it. After changing your clothes, you threw up again, so I figured it was better not to wear anything."
Joshua's trembling body finally calmed down. He let out a long sigh of relief, knowing nothing happened.
Hill smiled slightly, her body leaning forward, her right hand suddenly propping against the door frame. Though she wasn't tall, she had a commanding presence. Her eyes were like a hunter's gaze on its prey. "Or, were you hoping something did happen last night?"
Joshua gritted his teeth. "Hill! Get away from me!"
Hill shrugged. Joshua pushed her aside and walked to the wardrobe, pulling out clothes to put on.
During this time, Hill's gaze followed him like an invisible flame, sometimes lingering on his collarbone, sometimes moving downward.
In short, Joshua felt very uncomfortable under her gaze, which was like being ogled by a pervert. If it were a beautiful woman admiring him like this, he would be thrilled. But it was Hill, and he couldn't be happy about it.
"Are you going out?" Hill asked.
"Yeah." Joshua didn't want to say another word to her.
Hill stretched. "Perfect, I have plans too."
Joshua paused mid-step. "Who are you meeting?"
"Luann." Hill smiled. "I told her I wanted to relive my childhood and go to an amusement park. She told me to buy the tickets and invite her."
She pulled out two tickets from a drawer. "Look. I already bought the tickets."
Joshua snatched one away. "I'll go with you." He couldn't just watch Hill go find Luann.
Hill blinked. "Huh? Two grown men going to an amusement park? Are you serious?"
"I want to," Joshua said each word deliberately, "If you take Luann, you'll have to buy her food, right? Do you have money? Isn't the money still coming from me? Today, whatever you want, just tell me, I'll cover it all!"
Hill's eyes sparkled. "Wow, generous!"
Joshua lifted his chin slightly. That was the effect he wanted.
"But," Hill paused, "are you brave enough?"
"Are you questioning me?" Joshua's face showed displeasure. "It's just an amusement park, it's not like I've never been. A bunch of kids' stuff, what do I have to be afraid of?"
"Alright then. Let's get dressed and head out," Hill said, pulling out two outfits from the wardrobe.
Seeing Joshua not moving, Hill's hand went to the hem of her sweatshirt, her eyes playful, seemingly teasing him, "Should I change here?"
Joshua was disgusted by Hill's expression and immediately walked out the door in disdain, urging, "Hurry up."
"Got it," Hill watched his back, murmuring, "So, is this our first date?"
Downstairs, Joshua went into the kitchen, casually toasted two pieces of bread, and made two fried eggs.
He couldn't help but mutter, "Luann, once I deal with Hill, you better reward me well. To hide your affair from Myron, I've sacrificed both my looks and money."
