Chapter 91 Buying the Restaurant
The restaurant instantly became chaotic.
Many servers rushed towards the private room.
Juliet stood in the corner, blinking slowly with a shallow smile, her eyes glittering with the pleasure of revenge and madness!
"Luann, you better be thankful for the special gift I gave you!"
"People like you don't deserve to eat in such a prestigious place."
"You, you are only worthy of eating this kind of garbage!"
Juliet's gaze shifted to a black bottle placed on the table. She took out around ten tissues, wrapped her hand tightly around it, and then carefully twisted it before throwing it into the trash bin, shivering in disgust.
Visible goosebumps appeared on her arm at an alarming rate.
After finishing these actions, she went to the restroom to wash her hands.
When she came out, the whole restaurant gathered outside Luann's private room, even the diners stopped eating and clamored for a refund.
"This restaurant looks clean, but who would have thought the hygiene would be so appalling!"
"Just hearing about it makes me want to vomit, let alone those who actually ate the dish."
“How disgusting!”
Juliet walked over and mingled in the crowd.
She listened to these words, and a look of joy almost overflowed from her eyes.
Just the thought of getting back at Luann made her ecstatic!
All the oppression she had endured for so long vanished instantly!
"I have eaten here several times before, and nothing like this has ever happened. Is there some misunderstanding?" Juliet asked.
"What misunderstanding? The guests who were eating saw it with their own eyes!" someone replied.
Someone curiously asked, “What exactly happened?”
"If you don't know, you better leave quickly. I'm afraid you'll vomit your breakfast if I tell you," came the response.
"It's okay, I can handle it!" Juliet asserted.
“I heard there were...dead mice and cockroaches in the food...” a person exclaimed.
"Oh my god, I'm going to throw up! Gross!"
...
Just then, a car stopped outside the door.
A man wearing a suit with a badge hurriedly walked over.
He was out for material procurement when he received a call from the restaurant, explaining the situation, and he rushed back immediately.
“Excuse me, let me through, I’m the manager.”
The crowd quickly split into two rows, all wanting to see how this situation would end.
Several heads poked into the small private room, trying to catch a glimpse of what was happening inside.
Luann and Myron, who was wearing a mask, walked out.
Juliet immediately stood on her tiptoes to take a look, but she found Luann's expression to be unchanged, with a calm demeanor.
She immediately frowned.
The manager spoke up, "Sorry, I first need to have a look."
After saying that, he approached and inspected the dishes, only to find five or six unidentified objects inside.
"What on earth is going on?"
He angrily questioned the waiter who served the dishes.
The waiter seemed to have lost half her senses, her face pale and devoid of color.
If someone wasn't supporting her, she would have collapsed to the ground long ago.
“I... I don’t know...”
"The dishes were brought out from the kitchen, I'm just responsible for serving..."
The manager turned his head.
“Where is the chef who made this dish?”
"Get out here!"
A chef wearing a tall hat stepped forward and said confidently, "Manager, I don't know why this dish turned out like this."
“You cooked the dish, how could you not know!” The manager’s heart was pounding.
A serious hygiene issue like this was not a small matter!
The restaurant had just opened for half a month and hadn't even secured its first batch of customers. This was a big blow!
Luann calmly spoke, "How could there be so many serious mistakes in one dish? Instead of talking so much, why not just check the surveillance footage?"
It was clear.
Someone had done it intentionally.
The manager froze for a moment and awkwardly said, "I'm sorry, miss. We've only recently opened, and not all aspects are perfect yet. There are no cameras installed in the kitchen, so..."
"We're very sorry this happened. It's not something we wanted to see. Thankfully, you didn't eat this dish..."
As soon as Juliet heard that Luann didn’t eat the dish, her facial features instantly froze.
Someone quietly asked beside her, "How did she notice if she didn't eat it?"
"I heard that as soon as the dish was served, this woman complained about it..."
“She said that something was off. The waiter argued with her a bit and then tasted it... you know how it goes."
“Amazing, right? They must be a skilled cook.”
"I bet if that dish was in front of me, I would definitely eat it..."
Feeling the pressure coming from all directions, the manager forced a smile.
“Here’s what I’ll do, this meal today is on me for both of you.”
"And anytime you come to my restaurant, it'll be free for life."
“How about that?”
Luann coolly replied, "I'm not interested in freebies."
“Only someone from our own staff would be able to freely enter the kitchen.”
The manager looked helpless. Even if he could uncover the truth, he wouldn't know who was responsible!
“Miss, take a look...”
Myron's eyes turned cold, his aura intimidating and endless.
An icy chill radiated from his brows and eyes, a chilling coldness that engulfed like a bottomless whirlpool, leaving one breathless and trapped.
“Don’t waste time talking.”
The manager hesitated, about to say something.
Myron spoke coldly before he could utter a word, “Close the restaurant.”
The manager immediately nodded, "Yes, yes, we will close for two days and make the necessary improvements..."
But that wasn’t what Myron meant.
His gaze shifted to meet the manager's eyes.
“Level this place.”
The manager didn't understand.
“Huh?”
Myron took out his phone and made a call.
The other person answered within a second.
Myron spoke, “I want to buy this restaurant at its current location.”
"Yes, sir!"
Myron turned to the manager, “Within half an hour, leave with all your staff.”
The manager stood dumbfounded, unable to believe it.
More people whispered, "Look! There must be cows flying up in the sky!?"
"This person must be crazy. This restaurant has the backing of the the North family, and he wants to buy it? Dream on!"
“Has he read too many domineering CEO novels? Hilarious!”
Just as everyone was mocking him.
The manager's phone rang.
He immediately answered, pressing the speaker button in his panic.
“Violet Garden restaurant, right?”
The manager wiped the cold sweat off his forehead, "Y-yes..."
"I'm sorry, your restaurant along with this piece of land has been bought. Please evacuate all staff and customers within half an hour. We will take responsibility for any losses incurred."
The laughter in the entire restaurant vanished in an instant.
All that could be heard was the manager’s heavy and shocked breathing.
"I..."
Beep beep beep—
The other person didn’t even give him a chance to speak.
Everyone looked at Myron in fear, taking a step back in unison.
Especially those who had just made mocking remarks, they covered their mouths.
Who exactly is this man...
Does he only need one phone call to effortlessly take over something related to the the North family?
